Details, were you the third sniper?

No wonder he's so popular with the ladies.

You just saved me 200 dollars, which is what it took to unbox an unusual hat :/

Woo! It only took me $67.50 to unbox an unusual hat.
(but it sucked .... Green Confetti Birdcage)

I Think they sell some cream for that.

Love it. Especially next to Mex's spray.

$137.50 for me. Then I decided to try for just one more. Got my second at $755. Even in a congregate game Valve finds a way to screw me. Seriously, valve, let me buy a damn hat for $50 and I'll get in line.

Of course if you were one of the people who happened to play TF2 on a mac you already have a way to acquire a hat. How does that work?

sigh... trade for keys people, trade for keys

I buy them too just not that many..damn

I joined a team with two demos and a heavy, I went soldier, the fifth person joined and went soldier, one of the demos switched to be the third soldier and demanded that I play pyro.

Pub stomp feels so good after a grouchy week at work. Highlight might have been a guy complaining about a clan who stacked one team, then once he voted them out he brought in his clan friends, and they lost while he talked smack. Had a good night of hunting down jerks like that, plus dominating an aimbotting sniper.

Got disconnected for the weekend. Hopefully back online tomorrow.
Lots of fun living in a third world country where they screw you over so easily.

It is, isn't it!

I know the Saxxy Awards are old news, but if you didn't watch most of the nominations, you really should. My quick recommendations:

Action: Meet the Dumpster Diver and Badwater Bebop (cuz I loves the Scout)
Replay: All of them are AWESOME.
Comedy: Ironically, none. Practical Problems was shown before, but none were stand-out.
Drama: All of them are solid. Till Death Do Us Part is anthem-y, Bad Medicine and I Dream... are artsy, and --

Overall winner, according to Valve (and me): Story of a Sentry. It's the one that made me post this. Absolutely stunning, and everything a short film should be.

I didn't care for any of the replays other than the high five fail and I've seen that one many times. It's okay but I don't think it's great. I've seen better replays from many people here.
I liked the Wishmaker comedy one. I love the heavy, though.
Story of a sentry was excellent. Very nice job of humanizing the sentry (reminded me of Wall-E). I also liked 'til Death do us part.

And now, a documentary of my game whenever I play engineer and Psych ukick Brainz plays spy.

Fun games last night after the initial dustbowl roll.

I'm looking into this scramble plugin and it does some really cool stuff http://forums.alliedmods.net/showthr...

It might come in handy in the future for the more obvious rolls and stacked teams. It is much more efficient than the built in valve scramble. Instead of random scrambling it can take all kinds of sorting into effect.

14 Sort Modes

1 = Random
2 = Scoreboard Scores
3 = A ratio of score and connection time
4 = Player kill/death ratios
5 = Swap the top players on each team
6 = Use GameMe rank
7 = Use GameMe Skill
8 = Use GameMe Global Rank
9 = Use GameMe Global Skill
10 = Use GameME session skill change
11 = Use HlxCE Rank
12 = Use HlxCE Skill
13 = Sort players by player class
14 = Plugin randomly chooses a mode from all the available

I'm not married to the idea but any means just throwing it out there to see what you guys think.

Does it restart the map? That's my biggest issue with Valves scrambler. We just played 20 minutes of hot buttered roll, you want us to do it again? Better to lose quickly and move on the to next map. Esp. since Valve "scrambler" does a terrible job (I think it has to do with how horrible Valve is at making random number generators...)

I swear, every time there is a scramble I'm one of the ones who gets moved. And then I run around trying to kill my own teammates for a few moments until I come to the realization that I've switched teams.

Nope it doesn't. Only reason I used it last night is because the first roll took about 5 min.

It's doubly fun when you're a spy at the same time you're scrambled.

Mode 14!

Oh hey, maybe I'll get to play this game again sometime soon. I went to the movies with Grumpicus, Bonus Eruptus, and Legion last night. Everybody hassle them to get them back on the server!

GameMe? Is that like HlxStats we used to have? I kind of miss that...

Yeah, GameME and HLstatsX are similar. I am not a fan of how much they clutter up the UI -- it should be opt-in, not opt-out. Is there a universal way to disable seeing those messages? Or does the server-side config have to allow you to disable it? Or can it not be shut up at all?

Also, page 1600, wooooooo

I think it's a server setting. Back in the day when Jakeleg ran HLStatsX on Stan's, we didn't have all those dumb messages constantly popping up in chat... you just went to the web page to see how you were doing.

I too miss HLStats. Why did we get rid of it in the first place? I am sure there was some huge pages-long argument about it.

Because Dimmer was always trying to boost his stats rather than play as a team. u_u

Yeah things got kinda crazy with stats. Everyone was going nuts about kill/death ratios and such. Might be time to try it again.

TF2 Figurines are shipping this week! Also, since those are sold out, they are now going to release team BLU as well, scheduled for April.

Dear Valve:

You already stole my idea about color-shifting paints, for which I received $zero. THANKS FOR NOTHING JERKS.

As restitution, please provide me a backpack full of Strange Parts: [Friend] Killed. These parts will let me assign a single person on my friends list to be the object of my twisted killing desires. For example:

MyBrainHz is wielding The Impertinent Impostor
Ukickmydogs killed: 739

I fully expect to receive $none for this idea as well. Oh well.

A freaking hatte would be nice at least,
Brainz
