League Of Legends Catch All

If you like Ziggs voiceovers that much, you really need to get Trundle and Ziggs together for a laugh party. Nothing in the game has made me laugh that hard.

I approve of the New Monkey's Agility:

Udyr
Monkey's Agility
Now additionally increases Udyr's armor and magic resist by 4% per stack-so a max of 12 percent.

I wonder what the new voice will be like? Do they change lines? If so I vote they rework amumu, I am not a fan of his voice and lines.

Hopefully they're keeping the same voice actress. She happens to also be the voice of Amumu and Nunu, so it's not far fetched to think they could have recorded new lines for them all in a single session.

Edit: here's a recent interview with her reflecting on voicing the characters back in 2009

I will just leave this here...

Move speed jungle Darius. New meta incoming.

Lessons learned:

  1. Picking a champion is hard
  2. Picking a champion for someone else is harder
  3. Picking a champion for yourself while distracted by misgivings about whether you actually need to pick for someone else is the hardest
  4. afk random OP pls nrf

I thought that'd been around a while....i tried it several games last season even. I guess it's better with new Black Cleaver, but i'm not a huge fan. He just feels stronger in constant lane presense to me. He's such a lane bully after level 6.

It's gonna take a LOT to knock me off of Sejuani or Jarvan when i jungle in current S3 game status.

I REALLY need to sit down and finish this video of sejuani ganks. I already put yer gank in that generated the fat **** pig Female Doggo rage:) lol.

That is merely one of a large handful of options (including dodging) that would have been better than what we actually ended up playing.

Now that you actually have me thinking about it critically, her high base damages and mobility actually stand a chance of out maneuvering blitz while harassing Cait out of lane. (A little bit better than Elise?) On top of that, it wouldn't have forced everyone else into roles they weren't planning on.

Regardless, I don't plan on going out of my way to try it out.

The pick was a minor issue. We played like dung across the board. We lost. The end. On to the next game.

Incorrect. It is awesome. Just ask my victims.

I'm really tempting fate by calling attention to this, but we have a 100% win rate when you jungle Darius and I mid. Those Darius ganks are extremely strong, because he cranks out so much damage with his base stats/abilities, and it's not too hard to get a pull off as long as you come in from behind (giggity). He fits very well with the Dyni style of constant ganking.

When both jungle and mid snowball, you wind up with fantastic map pressure, and it's all downhill from there.

Another great mid match for Darius is Malzahar. Usually if I can ult or flash ult someone, in teamfights or in lane, that someone is Darius food. I've had a lot of games go very well in that vein.

Naut jungle with an annie mid is also mean. So much CC. I think I caught Vi just outside of tower range and between my plant/slow and the annie stun it was gg.

We had a great game, though I think we lost in the end cause they had much better end game champs and we spent too much time messing around. Nunu could put more pressure with his ult and be useless other then that, but open up an opportunity for Vi/Jax to dive our carries. Can't erase two warmogs off the map with only two real damage dealers and a fed kog + blood boil means neither I or singed could do much even if we did manage to peel at and get keep our carries up we were getting destroyed in the process.

And our janna pub never let us really get into a great engage by getting caught multiple times, and we stumbled after the teamfights we won.

Had some good games with dyni mid as swain as well, naut makes his stun and bird easy to land.

Naut makes everything easy to land! CC on every ability, including passive, never gets old.

Lunch time pubbies. One of those games you should not win, but do.

1. We had no real tank.
2. We had no real support.
3. Our carry could not buy a kill, and decided that feeding on the jungle was too bourgeois.
4. As an AP (Brand) I was the kill leader.

Vi and Xin, bottom, did their level best to "tank." The other team had no jungler, so this at least let our Shaco invade and get aggressive, and this meant the top lane pair could not win the shared XP race against Vi. It was GP and Leona vs Vi up top.

Shaco was good early on, the other team was more or less land locked. I got 2 quick mid kills. Vi up top managed to get first blood, before succumbing to the opposing team's GP Grog Soaked blade.

Our bottom lane did well too, so far as not giving up kills but Vayne could not get in the mix and land kills.

I free floated Brand a lot, and quickly got 2/3 of our kills. My DOTS turned an aid up top into a double kill, and then a tripple kill as the Mid Kat tried to help. The river loves my ult though.

AP mid is carrying the team, no way we should be able to win. At the start our only chance was to get Vayne fed. But the other team does not buy a single piece of MR gear. GP bought Merc Treads, but that is it. The other team had a mid game rally, was moving only in groups, pushing out lanes only to the middle. Getting easy outnumbered or solo kills, whittling us down. GP and Leona also began to get a bit more tanky, more health, more armor. But still no MR.

We reform, and pull it back together. Vayne was still useless, but without MR I had a Rabadons, a Morellos, and a Void Staff already.

We managed to win before the end game. All the other team needed to do was get just a little MR. An Aegis or a Bulwark on GP or Leona, a Maw or Hexdrinker on Cait/GP, A Spirit Visage on someone.

They call 'em "AP Carries" for a reason. Carrying out of mid is a very common way to win. Fed AP Carries roam easily and typically gank well, and knocking down mid tower early provides tremendous map pressure.

They also keep the opposing team honest. If your AP is doing hellacious magic damage, your enemies will either build MR or die. In your case they seem to have chosen die, which is odd. Had they not that would have been one additional item slot and significant gold spent on it. That makes your physical damage dealers that much better and your tanks ever so slightly tankier. Sort of like the running game in football.

I just played one where our Ashe lived down to every pubbie standard and then AFKed. We were getting rocked. After she left, we won. I didn't know whether to report her or thank her.

I will chock it up to my awesomeness. It also helps that Brand is a beast in the rivers and jungles.

When I am on the other side, I am supporting, or Jungling, or Top and I see the AP mid is our kill leader, I get scared. It is still very easy to build a lot of MR. In particular AD carries and AD tanks got some good items with MR and Damage. It is also distinguished as the first match in a year, easily, with no Aegis, and first match of the season with no Bulwark on the other team. Our Xin was building one, a bit slow, but he had it.

Also, As an FYI, the new Monkey Agility stacks incredibly well with Witt's End.

Warmogs and frozen mallet make the atmas the better choice.

Not sure why you are stacking triforce and frozen mallet though.

Love it, Oily

Sheen is such a handy ability to have.

Related note, Iceborn Gauntlet works amazingly well on Gragas. You do a body slam to trigger Spellblade, and you get a big slow. You essentially get a 4 second slow, and after the body slam you get a superb AOE hit. That combos nicely with Liandry's, the spell burn is twice as powerful on slowed enemies damage.

I have been really working well with a Solo Top Gragas. He has such great natural Mana and Health Regen as well as damage reduction via Drunken Rage, he can poke well with the barrel, he can get gold and CS fast thanks to the barrel. And thanks to new items like Zona's, as well as classics like ROA and Abyssal, you can build him to be a really good off tank.

It helps get an AD in the middle, and most tops focus solely on armor early game. It guarantees some good mismatches to exploit.

Update on Sejuani Rework in progress.

Hey folks, first update on progress with Sejuani here. Since the original post I've gathered a bunch of feedback, particularly through threads like this, and tried out various changes in internal playtests, some of which have tested well, some of which haven't and some of which are still works in progress. The goal of these changes is to try and maintain what people like about Sejuani while adding a bit more perceived impact/readability to her abilities, increasing her opportunities for big plays (and, if needed to balance that, adding a bit more counterplay in exchange) and investigating a bit of increased use of her boar/flail as thematic elements if appropriate.

Examples of things that have already tested well and are likely to be part of her rework (generally low risk quality of life improvements):

1. Changing the mark for Permafrost from a very weak slow to a non CC debuff. This allows allows the mark's duration to be extended to a longer value than would be appropriate for a slow and stops the mark from having a reduced duration against targets with CC.

2. A clearer particle for that mark so it's really clear at any point which enemies will be affected by Permafrost's activation.

3. Slightly increased responsiveness on Artic Assualt when it comes to detecting collisions with enemies and calculating travel through terrain, courtesy of some tech improvements since her development.

Examples of things still in testing (being experimented with to see if they work, not guaranteed to happen):

1. Base stat tweaks

2. Adding a bit of tankiness somewhere on the kit to better match Sejuani's thematics (tough warrior on a giant boar) and reduce the amount of damage she takes early on.

3. Changes to Artic Assault's behaviour on hitting an enemy champion (e.g. stronger CC than just a slow)

4. Whether Northern Winds should apply the mark for Permafrost and then have its gameplay tweaked (since the current 'bonus damage against Frosted targets' interaction would then be irrelevant)

5. Increasing risk of play slightly and in exchange increasing reward for good play to match.

The next step design side is simply more testing and iteration, both on the examples listed above and some other stuff. Then, once we've got a set of changes we're happy with, we'll refine those, balance them and, where needed then work with our art department on new visual/audio elements (e.g. the clearer mark for Permafost as above). As previously mentioned there's also some interest internally in tweaking Sejuani's appearance a bit. That's not my area of expertise so I'll try and catch IronStylus at some point and see if there's anything concrete about that can be passed on about that. As far as timeframe for all of this goes there's still a fair while to go - I expect we'll see at least one other rework out before Sejuani's. Stuff is progressing though and I'll update again in a while once we've got things more locked down design side.

Interesting, new matchmaking tweak now live. Queues will take up to 30 seconds longer with number of wins as an additional criterion.

Oh man, fire and ice last night. Or rather the unmoving object vs the unmoving object.

My team, just horrid, theirs just as bad. Skarner top, Swain Mid, Nunu jungling, Cait bot with my Sona. Cait is allergic to last hits and kills. 3 times early game we get Miss Fortune and her partner down to 1/4 health, while she and I are at 90+. Cait is blowing all her mana killing creeps. And she decides to kill the support tank first, not the carry. Miss on the other side is landing last hits, and manages to get a 3 kill solo when Cait has burnt her mana again, Nunu sits in a bush (the UPS man must have come to the door because he just sat there). All of my ults end with Cait running away more often than not.

The other team has no jungler. Yet Nunu does not decide to invade, preferring to fall behind sitting in the bushes.

But the other team was so inept. The game took an hour. They never push past the inhibitors, even when every one of our towers is down. We manage to catch them just after Baron, and wipe the team. But my team decides to slog past the one lane with super minions, rather than a fast track up the edges. As Sona I end up "tanking" one tower when Nunu and Skarner wait back for minions.

This happens 2 more times, until through pure accident, the other team gets our nexus turrets, and a super minion gets in for the kill.
