Rubio tomorrow reportedly \o/
Yay T-Wolves are fun again!
So happy to have Ricky back. 8 points, 9 assists, 4 rebounds, 3 steals in only 18 minutes.
I couldn't even see the pass.
And this quote I just love:
If Houdini had come back from surgery, he would have started with a few card tricks. But Rubio came back sawing the lady in half, only from behind his back.
Man, I have to say again: f*ck NBA.com. 30 second ads before every 20 second clip is just excessive and gross.
The Knicks are a super whiney team for a team that draws a lot of phantom calls.

I'm a Knicks fan, and I agree with you about the super whiny part. It's embarrassing. Especially when you've got Spike Lee staring down the official. Yikes. Sit down and shut up.
I think some of the whining is due to personality, for sure, but I think it's also a matter of it being a team of veterans (oldest in the league, as we keep hearing) who all expect to get veteran calls. Except the whole team can get them, fellas. That said, Sheed is allowed to get teed up anytime he wants for yelling "Ball don't lie!" That's hilarious.
I'm not quite sure how we won that game yesterday. It didn't seem like we were in it at all until the last 5 minutes, and then we hit a few shots and, boom, a win. Minnesota is such a fun team to watch this year, especially now that Rubio's back. If he and Love can stay healthy, I don't care how tough the Western Conference is, nobody is going to want to face the T-Wolves in the first round of the playoffs.
THIS sh*t NEEDS TO STOP OMG
The lakers jerseys looked particularly bad to me. I thought the Heat christmas jerseys looked okay.
I blame Nash for the Knicks loss. He should've spent a little more time recovering from his injury. On the bright side, Rockets destroyed the Rose-less Bulls. Yaaaaay! Jeremy Lin has done well over the past four games. Yaaaaay!

I thought the Clippers had the worst. You couldn't even read the writing. Companies should resist the urge to go crazy with the alt jerseys.
So Royce White just basically invoked the Newtown shootings with regards to his own mental health issues.

In hindsight of the recent tragedies in this country, that had mental illness variables, you would think it would encourage people to act more proactively in that arena. You would think that decision makers who are not well informed about mental health, would take the consultation and recommendation of those who are. You would think we would start to do everything possible to not let the tragic consequences befall us first, before we ask the logical question, “why?”, “who knew?” “how could we have helped?. Why not take a proactive approach of “who knows?” “how can we listen?”, “how can we support now?”I do wish to play, but I only intend to do so with the collaboration and recommendation of trained professionals. The purpose of a doctor’s confirmation is to ensure that health decisions are made in the sole interest of health and not conflicted with business. My only hope is that decision makers involved realize that doctors are the only logical source to decide action.
Just... wow. I'm not sure why his stance is so hard lined at this point. He can't travel to the D-League team to play? Is he insinuating that he's liable to shoot up a school? I don't understand any of this. And I've dealt with anxiety.
Gah. Early afternoon games and I missed setting my rosters today. Probably no standings update again this week. Holidays are too busy for this stuff. I'm barely managing to keep my rosters set with guys who are playing.
Same for me, but my two teams are 4/5 in their respective divisions. Your two teams are 1/5 in their respective divisions. I choose to blame my yahoo autodrafts!
I love watching the Lakers lose! The season really is turning into a sh*tshow for them. They're 15-18, and reportedly Kobe and Dwight almost got in a fistfight after their loss to the Sixers on New Year's Day, with Kobe calling the big guy soft. Pau is playing like a shell of his former self and is out with a concussion after catching a nasty JaVale McElbow last night and dropping a gallon of blood through his nose. Dwight is out indefinitely with a torn labrum.
Even though I am schadenfreude-ing all over this Lakers season, I don't like to see anyone get injured. A torn labrum could be a season-ending injury. A friend of mine is going through a 4 month rehab for that right now. Kobe and Howard seem to have poisonous affects on team chemistry when things aren't going perfectly, I hope that Howard moves onto another team next season and that his impact won't get over-hyped.
My teams are still 9 & 10. The James Spartans almost beat the Cardinals for the week.
^My summary of the week's results.
C'mon, GMs.
Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! is reporting that the Maloofs are close to a deal to sell the Kings to a Seattle-based ownership group for approximately $500 million. The new owners would look to relocate the franchise to Seattle for the 2013-14 season.
I never like seeing a fan base lose its team, even when the owners are complete idiots. I wonder how Seattle fans will feel about getting a team back by doing to another city what was done to them.
I'm sure the Seattle fans will feel great.

Yeah - the Sonics being taken like that should have made them realize that it's a business and the owners don't care one bit about the fans. The new Sonics are just the result of another business transaction.

I'm pretty sure they realized it's a business when their team was named for a massive aerospace and defense contractor.
So, if the team relocates to Seattle and they reclaim the Supersonics nickname, is their franchise history based on the Sonics history or the Kings history?
But having a team to cheer for trumps all logic. See: every public financed sports arena/stadium.

It depends, are the new owners being totally up front and saying hey if we buy the team we are moving them? Or are they lying and saying hey if we buy the team we will make sure it stays in Sacramento? Seattle fans weren't so mad because the team moved, it was because they were lied to and betrayed.
