Video Game Deals Catch-All

All the love for the Thief games (which I also love) is how I feel about Sine Mora. Fantastic (and accessible) schmup.

Supposedly Amazon will be selling The Walking Dead for $12.49 - the $5 discount if you bought other games next week, or $7.49.

ohhh I didn't mean anything against GMG, I use them all the time.

I meant that the Slingshot DLC was supposed to be not worth the bother/price :-)

I own the DLC and like it. It was worth it for 5 bucks.

Don't say that, my wallet will hate you.

Not sure if its a mistake, but I just picked up sleeping dogs for 4.49 on steam. They have it listed at 91% off.

I think it might be too. I just bought it at the same price.

My day has just ranked up. I can't believe this hasn't been all over my Twitter feed. I hope those guys get their time in the limelight before Spelunky HD comes out. They deserve it, but especially a financial break.

Just a quick heads up. Walking Dead is going for 50% off on Amazon's Game Downloads, that's $12.50. And if you bought anything from Amazon game downloads last year you probably have a $5 credit going for you. That makes it $7.50 for Walking Dead, not a bad deal.

Those who haven't picked this up PLEASE take advantage of this deal. An amazing game!

And if you don't have a 5$ credit, to get Walking Dead, I will give you mine (seriously, PM me if you want that 5$ off by the end of the month, I'm not using mine).

I'd also like to draw your attention to The Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom, included in the sale for 200 MSP (75% off). If you haven't played it yet—200 MSP!

If you don't buy Minerva's Den, you either own it, or you are empirically wrong.

I tried to buy it for the PC a while ago. A series of cryptic errors in the purchase process meant I gave up.

And of weak moral character. Possibly the best DLC ever.

I've heard nothing but great things about this DLC. Why would they make it so difficult to download? It's not like DLC is new at this point.

Because MS left GFWL abandoned in their basement years ago. It could be a service as good as the rest of them, but that requires them to actually give a damn.

This. There were apparently a series of problems with the payment system through the website. I think they just announced some kind of bundle version with the DLC. I'm hoping that becomes available on Steam for a reasonable price.

Ubisoft is selling Ghost Recon Future Soldier for $10.20 on their site. The deluxe edition is $11.90.

Does it activate on steam?

Nope! It activates on UPlay, where they ask you to pay a little extra for extended download service, just in case you want them to remember that you paid them money in 2 years.

They really ought to ask EA how that went for them, and why they don't offer it anymore.

That said, it's a pretty slick game. I liked it more than I thought I would, and making crazy guns with the gunsmith feature is pretty fun. It's very graphically intense and not all that well optimized so you'll need a moderately beefy rig to get the most out of it.

In fact, y'know what, go ahead and get it on UPlay. It's a good play but it's not the kind of game anyone's likely to come back to two years down the road.

Yeah, UPlay as a PC download store is essentially EADM from a few years ago, run by Digital River as well.

I still like their whole reward program. Just really wish they'd left it at that.

I second that motion.

Just hearing the topic of Minerva's Den brought up makes me want to go back and replay it.

What a fantastic piece of content.
