Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer Catch-All – Shepards with Jobs

For the ten of us still playing: Last night I discovered a new loadout that works very well: a Turian Soldier (the old one) with a Crusader. The Marksman power lets you fire the Crusader at least twice as fast, and it chews through armor, even on Gold.

I love me some Crusader, but lately I've been playing with my new Drell Assassin. I've kitted him out to use recon mines as his main source of damage and man, there are few things more satisfying than taking out five troopers with a single push of the button. It's almost criminal those things don't eat up any ammo, because they're way more useful than any grenade.

Yeah, I messed around with that when I got that character. I need to try it out on Gold, but his shields are soooooo low.

Is there no weekend challenge again? That's two weekends in a row without one...

Bioware[/url]]With an increase of homemade cookies, crayon-colored cards, and cartons of Eggnog making their way into the office, it means that the holidays are almost here! It’s been a fantastic year, and there is much rejoicing to partake in, but for now, we’re tired. The time has come to cash in our paid time off and break for a winter vacation.

So, beginning December 21st the BioWare offices will be closed for the holidays. Multiplayer fans, please be aware that there will be no N7 Bounty Weekends for the weekends of December 28th or January 4th. Now before you go replacing the candy in our stockings with coal, we’ve prepared a little something for you as our way of wishing you a happy holiday season!

3 Kits Unlocked (Drell Assassin, Batarian Slasher, and Volus Protector)
All Hazard Maps Available
Two new card packs to help fill out your collections

Thank you for all of your amazing support this year, and especially for playing. We’ll see you in 2013!

Next weekend

Yup, they said there won't be a challenge for the weekends of the 28th and the 4th. After that, back to normal.

Wait, so if I log in to my account, I should have the Drell Assassin, Batarian Slasher and Volus Protector unlocked?

OK, in that case, they're forgiven

Um. Err. :/

No. You didn't think they'd pass up a chance to tell you to buy more packs, did you?

... so.... they've unlocked them to appear in packs then?

And haven't given them to us for free...

I... *sigh*

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Uh...

Define free. They're available for "free" credits like everything else.

Yeah, I guess so, it's just the way it was worded.

I have a bunch of my kits levelled to 20... I'm thinking of promoting them, yet I know the second I do, there will be an assignment where you have to promote your kits.

Same. Like 4 of my 6 are 20 and I almost promoted this weekend but I just know when i do... ugh.

I think I may leave 2 at level 20 and promote the rest. That way if I need promote for the assignment I should have enough, or i should be able to make the progress back with a few games.

hmm this game. lol completely forgot that ME3 had an awesome multiplayer...

SC HOTS? or this?? hmm the dilemma.

All of my dudes are at level 20, and there they shall remain until I get a good reason to promote them.

I promote right when I hit level 20, and then run around on Bronze using all the crappy weapons for challenge purposes. Raptor? Incisor? Falcon? Sign me up!

Just promoted everyone. Have 2 classes left at 18 so not fussed.

Did just unlock the N7 Slayer... interesting class. Any tips? I specced it with the Biotic leap thingie and the slash. Yeah, real technical I know. Didn't choose the beam one though. Thoughts?

The beam one uses up your shields; I tend to not even put points into it.

Hey... I like the Raptor Though all I have at this point are the crappy weapons. So why would you promote a leveled character? Just to increase your N7 rank? Is there any benefit to that beyond bragging rights?

Only benefit is you wind up low-level again, and can respec characters differently each time. I find the game got really stale when I kept everybody at 20, because it felt the same every time. Dropping to 1 gave me something to work towards again.

They used to turn into a resource for use in single-player but I'm not sure that's still the case.

I put points in it, just to have a little range, and a move that's less obnoxious than the slash, and I think it's neat, but I don't use it often. Slayer is fun, enjoy it.

Why is the slash obnoxious?

I found that you can't just stand there and take it on silver. I was dying a lot. Personally I want the Drell Assassin.

BlackSabre wrote:

Er, I realize now I was thinking of Smash, or whichever one it is that shakes the screen for everyone. I should have said "Less wind-up." Slash is great, but dangerous.

Drell Assassin is also fun, but would be much better if more groups hunkered down these days.

Ah ok. So when is the best time to use Slash? Single target link Banshee kinda didn't work out for me so well.

I love this more than the single-player game.

And I love my Krogan Sentinel more than Shepherd. (Well, maybe not more. Maybe as much.)

I nearly soloed bronze with my level 19 Turian Soldier. Died on wave 10.

Been using the N7 Valkyrie with him, combined with stability mods and Marksmanship, it's pinpoint precise, I was nailing Phantoms with 3 or 4 headshot bursts, never seen them go down so quickly. Very nice!
