Just what WoW needs; more dailies!

So nice, I posted twice!

I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but I'm thinking of getting back into WoW. I got Mists of Pandaria CE for pretty cheap today, so I took it as a sign to try it out. (Full disclosure: I have all the other CEs of WoW in a row on a shelf by my desk. The lack of Mists of Pandaria was starting to bother me, even tough I had not played for a year).

I'm interested in starting up a new toon on Blackhand, to play with some GWJ folk. Does anyone have a scroll of resurrection to use for me? I hear you get a new mount, and, well, back in the day I collected a lot of mounts. A lot. Anyway, I would appreciate it.

PM me your email address and I'll hook you up!

Is the guild on Blackhand fairly active? I have a 90 warlock on a very low pop / dead realm and would love to move him somewhere a little more active and actually do some fun stuff with folks.

The guild is low-key but active -- no raiding yet (other than LFRs), but there are usually 10-ish folks on at night. If you're not sure you want to spend the cash to x-fer, roll fresh and hang out for a while. Just /who GWJ; there's almost always someone on who can invite. There's no minimum level to join.

I've been wanting to try a monk out, I'll roll one up and get leveled to join you guys.

See you in game. Remember that we're an Ally guild (as much as that pains Gannon and a few other folks). There is a GWJ Horde guild, but it's pretty sparsely populated these days.

Thanks to Rallick for the scroll of resurrection. I rolled up a 'lock named Umbriel and boosted her to 80, which now means I have no idea how to play. I had a lock back in vanilla or BC, so it's been a while. I'll try to get an invite sometime soon.

It's nice to see that Goldshire is still a hive of scum and villainy. Some things never change.

You're very welcome! I could never get the hang of warlocks myself, being more of a melee type of person. That said, my main is currently an elemental shammy, so what do I know? In any case, I'm sure you'll have a blast in Pandaland. It's been a lot of fun for me so far, in between adding to and attempting to clear my dangerously large pile.

I've got to say, I reached Pandaria with my monk over Christmas and the improvements to the game are just astonishing. More varied quests, more voice acting, cutscenes, engaging storylines, incredible environments - also, mini mobs that swarm around larger ones or by themselves are a great touch too, and are a good way to teach AoE.

Really am impressed, and can't wait to hit 90 and start doing some serious exploring. First time I've been seriously compelled to finish every single quest on one character despite knowing I'll hit the level cap prior to that point.

I can't recommend Icy-Veins.com enough to help you get over the I-have-no-idea-what-happened-to-my-toon hump. I've got an Afflock at 81; pm me if you have questions.

I can throw in a nod to Icy-Veins site as well. I play a 90 'lock and when Panda came out the changes to warlocks were so extensive I had to relearn the whole class. Icy-Veins helped a lot. Feel free to PM me as well if you have questions.

Also I have Phayyn , my level 12 monk , on blackhand. I'll hit you guys up for an invite next time I'm on

Thanks for suggesting Icy Veins. I was looking for some class 101 type guides, and that site seems great! It was nice to see the new tab Blizz included with the UI, telling you what spells you should be casting and when.

My last major toon was a BM hunter. I really enjoyed ranged DPS, and I'm a sucker for pets, so that's why I decided to try out a lock again.

Er...if anyone has an extra scroll of res I'd like to use it. I've been wanting to do some gaming with my son since he moved back in but all he plays is Diablo 3 and WoW. WoW seems tobe the lesser evil! Thanks

I'd be happy to, PM me your email and I'll hook you up.

If you want to play with your son, karmajay, you should have him send you the scroll. That way you get a free character transfer to his server. This includes a free upgrade to Cataclysm, faction change if necessary and a free boost of a character of your choice to level 80. Just saying if he's playing it heavily, this will help you close the gap or get a class to 80 that you don't want to spend the time leveling (saves ~3-4 days playtime).

Thanks Faide but I'll let my son send it per Luggage's idea so I can get the realm transfer! Only issue is he plays on a PvP server and I think my old lvl 85 is a hunter!

No worries, that sounds like a much better plan

If anyone else needs a scroll feel free to PM me.

As a FYI, the free character transfer is ONLY for a new char that you bump to 80 Oh well!

EDIT: Well, that's what they originally tell you but you can transfer a lvl 85 char with it

Basically only one character can get both the bump and the transfer. If the toon is already above 80, you can transfer, but you can't use the boost on another character.

Where is the 1st place I can change my talent specialization in Pandaria? Is there a way to go back and forth from Org early on?

I don't think there are class trainers in Pandaria. If there are, they aren't obvious.

And why would you want to go to Orgrimmar? Dirty nasty city filled with orcs and other dirty hordies ...

Seriously, though, you'll probably want to keep your hearth in Org until you can get to the Vale of Eternal Blossoms, which opens after a quest chain at lvl 87. I know Alliance has a portal back to SW at the starter town in Jade Forest. I'm assuming Horde has something similar.

Saw this today...

It pains me greatly!!! /bleed

Btw...what lvl is that horde guild now? When I get back from Africa, I may move one or two toons over Horde side and get at least one maxed out from 85 (I've got at least 7 or 8 toons sitting at 85 right now -_-)....it'll probably be one that isn't a worgen cuz that's the only alliance race I really like and I can make a killing with their AH!!!

The way you can level a toon, Gannon, it'll take you about a week to get level 25.

I was able to level the Horde guild from 2 to 12 by myself during my three month WoW binge. I'm back on hiatus now but I may come back for a month when the next patch drops.

Hey engineers! Start saving your Living Steel!

Anyone still feel overwhelmed by this new expansion? I've played almost every day since it came out and there are still a million things to do.
