Gog's got basically every deal during the whole sale on sale today, and dang it, the D & D deal is so tempting....

Saw this on a CAG tweet. Daily BB deal is a 3 month Xbox Gold card for $13, and it comes with an 800 MS point card (it will be in your cart when you add the Gold). So 3 months for basically $3.

Picked up one for my daughter. Might should have tried to get two.

I just don't need the points because I've hoarded a bunch on my account. My error was actually entering them so that I can't give her some of my cards.

It's sold out already. That was fast.

Guess that makes up my mind about ordering a second! :)

I lowered myself to going to a store, ready to fight for the deal that was sold out online. Luckily, it rang right up and now I have 6 months of gold and 20 space bucks for $25 actual dollars.

For those of you that bought a game on Amazon the last couple weeks, here's the Editor's Choice list, that you can use the $5 credit on starting today.

Doesn't look like Amalur is on there.

Best deal is probably Dark Souls for $18 ($13 with credit) or Hotline Miami $7.50 ($2.50).

Just grabbed Dark Souls. Thanks for the enable.

The cockroaches have integrity.

XCOM is back at 50% off at Amazon and listed on their Editor's Choice page. Is that new? And I'll have to rummage around for "the promotional code that Amazon emailed to you."

No it's not a promo code, it's just applied to your account.

Hotline Miami is showing as $4.99 now on the Amazon Editor's Choice page -- and yes, if you have a $5 promo discount, it'll drop the price to a cool $0 for that Steaming hot key.

How do you know if you have a $5 promo discount? I have $10 credit on amazon so how do I know the promo discount is being used and not store credit?

Also, does it activate on steam?

I'm not sure about the promo, I think it was given on certain purchases last month. As for Steam activation

Amazon Store Page wrote:

Requires Steam Client to activate.

So, yes.

On the final Checkout page, you'll see this:

Amazon Checkout wrote:

PC Download: $4.99
Promotion Applied: -$4.99

And perhaps my lame joke about the key was too obtuse a reference... :/

Yeah, just realised if I add something over $15 it takes off $15. Wonder if I do something less than $15, which promotional credit it takes first. My store credit, or the promo credit?

merphle wrote:

Well I wasn't sure if you were being serious as I couldn't find the "Requires Steam Client to activate." bit.

merphle wrote:

Thanks! I knew that was around somewhere, just couldn't find it. And that reminds me, I have $10 in video credit from Halo 4. Time to watch a movie!

merphle wrote:

Yeah but be careful with the video game one. It's not broken down between promotions.

Like a couple games gave a $9.99 credit for 2 F2P games starter packs, and multiple copies. So I have like $60 of that, but 0 of promo credit left.

Spec Ops: The Line is showing up as on sale at $7.49 as part of the Editor's Choice list, so the $5 credit applies here. Seems like as good a price as any. Activates on Steam according to the product details.

Ah, was wondering why mine was coming up a lot more than what I had. Like I know I've only got $10 promo credit, yet it was saying $35.

Definitely worth picking up at that price: it's solidly made, has a meaty if grim story, and a very good sense of place. Plus you can blast through it in about 5-6 hours.

Huh. My number seems awfully high. I think there are some special-purpose promos in there that aren't broken out.

And when did I pick up an MP3 credit?

Hotline: Miami back up to $7.49. I really wish I could break down the promo credits I have, I have $62 in promo credit but no idea why

On almost every Amazon game purchase I've made recently, I've gotten a heap of emails with promo credits for items in various F2P games (Airmech is the only one I remember offhand). So I've used two of my November/December promotional $5 creds (Dark Souls and Amalur), but it still shows me with $82.49 in VG credits. I'm guessing at least $77.50 of that is specifically for crap that I have absolutely no interest in.

Yeah, I have the same issue. There is almost $80 in credits showing on my account, but I think that I only have two of the $5 credits and the rest must be all F2P bonus garbage.

Does anyone actually play Airmech and those others? I suppose I could redeem the credits and hand out the keys. I am utterly hopeless in MOBA games so there's no point in my even registering an account with them.

Is anyone interested in a copy of Darkness II? I'm happy to trade a code I have for it for something. It's part of my Amazon promotional credit, but I've got no interest in it and don't really want to spend more "real" cash on games this winter.

Darn, I could have saved 2.50. I bought I in the pack and already had both bioshocks.

Hmmm, tempting (but my pile!). What kind of trade would you suggest?
