I like arena

Wait, we're only allowed to play our worst classes at designated times? Why didn't anyone tell me that Friday night?

I envy your dedication. I gave up on Heavy long, long ago: http://steamcommunity.com/id/Cyranix/stats/TF2

He was actually there. Rockets were flying out of mid-air and the chat bubble would pop up when he talked but there was no character model except for the unusual effect. I blame Comcast.

Which HUD is that? It looks shiny and easy to read.

I don't like arena all that much. Once in a while is plenty for me.

That hud is GitHub. Get it over here.

I liked the one pubbie who said: 'maybe an odd time to ask, but does someone have a strange huntsman for me quickly? I will trade a few strange parts for it....' and tried I think 3 or 4 times lol

I didn't like Arena at first, but it grew on my. When the server filled up quickly in the past it didn't make any sense since we often ended up with people waiting for a chance to play, but it might be a good way to warm up the server some nights.

If I could make it to more game nights, at least my least played/worst characters are supposed to kill the other players.

Medic is my second most played. On the other hand, I feel like an absolute newb given the time spent in game.

I don't know if I'd call it dedication. More like obsession... and to be fair, I reset my stats when Valve first allowed it. At the time I was like 20 hours in heavy and 120 in demo, so I got impatient trying to play 100 hours straight as a heavy, esp since there were many maps where it didn't necessarily help (also cart maps weren't around yet to go cart-heavy). Also, it's another challenge. It made me a better spy and heavy. And you learn how to play all the classes on all the maps (note while that sounds nice, not all classes are useful).

I am up for more MvM. So invite me if more mannez are needed.

Queue inspired me to do the same thing at one point. I reset my stats (most of my time was actually soldier of all things) and tried to play each class evenly. But I hate playing spy (too many buttons!) and I have sh*tty aim, so I am a really really poor sniper, which meant I never play those classes except when warming up. Anyone who has ever heard me Female Doggo when I play engie knows my thoughts on playing that class - getting my stuff knocked down pisses me off to much!

It turns out I am extremely poor not just in aiming but also in ammo management which makes being a successful soldier extremely difficult - nothing like getting caught out in the open with your fly open, so to speak. I think I am a decent demo on certain maps (GoldRush, most of Dustbowl) where I can stay out of the line of fire and lob grenades for area denial, this solves my ammo management problems. I think I am a reasonably competent medic who has a really bad habit of going into combat mode too easily (and also dodging crits ). I believe I have turned into a good heavy even though said ammo management keeps me from being better.

That leaves pyro: no aiming, no ammo management, get close and start a-burnin' - the perfect class.

I hate playing spy so much though that I really don't enjoy least-played/worst class times though.

Yup. Same here. If anyone wants to Manne Up for some MvM, I'm game.

Still have some MvM tickets laying around myself.

Feel free to invite me along

Tboon, I'm a decent all around because of LPC, but definitely lose a lot against people using their best class. It's kind of, I can play that class in a pinch, but will defer to those that specialize.

Yes. I have become very thankful that your Pyro wears some uncommon headgear. It says to me, "Go elsewhere. This way lies death."

Wow...MvM was quite something. This time the kritz snipers were really hard to kill. More, they shoot once and you die.
But it was loads of fun though

Wait, you can play other classes? Do they have rocket launchers too?

Sorry for the other night I have a few reasons for my odd playing.

A: I was playing on a xbox 360 controller.
B: I was playing with my brother. We were handing the controller back and forth whenever we got killed too many times or just wanted to switch it up.

It was great fun for him and I to play on the server. Before this it was just us playing against bots in the training mode.

C: We were playing on my Mac Book Pro that I have since I'm away from my PC. For some reason my Mac won't load a map till after the first round of half way through the first map.

Other than that it's been a joy, as always, to continue playing with you fine folks.

RTV and Taunt Fortress work properly again on the pub. Thx Gumbie for the troubleshooting assistance.

Our hearts go out to you for your suffering.

I played the original Halo (way back when) for about 15 minutes with a controller. It looked like an FPS, but felt like a swiveling-office-chair simulator.

I put down my lunch and played MvM with Infernarl and friends, and even though we struggled with the expert map I still had fun. Happy New Year all!

Woo I unboxed an unusual hatte: a Smoking Counterfeit Billycock!

Not super valuable, but still: WOO!

Congrats, and class appropriate.

congrats!

Now go forth into trading land and get lowballed on the price.

I decided to unlock the Nice Winter Crate that dropped tonight. New Pyro part!

I did a couple of things tonight that I wouldn't have expected. That was a lot of fun. Thanks for making my last TF2 night of 2012 a memorable one!

Did anyone else's game crash to desktop after that last game?

Happy New Year Mannes!
