Not Steam, but finally a price I'll bite at:

Hitman: Absolution is $19.99 (60% off) @ http://Amazon.com

I put some thoughts on this game in its official thread. It's gotten a lot of bad reviews but I think it was really underrated for whatever that's worth. I thought it was worth full price, it's a damn steal for $20.

I've loved every single one, but I'm also one of the apparent weirdos who had a great time playing Mass Effect 3, so I think I'll enjoy it just fine.

I was going to pick up Gods & Kings from Greenman gaming today but it seems like my Bank still doesn't trust them. Frankly it's a bit ridiculous that every time I want to buy a game from there I have to contact my bank. /annoyed

You might have better luck if you pay through paypal.

You guys are killing me. I'm perfectly fine with the amount of games I still have to play. But I want more! moooooooooooooore!!!! Sales + this thread are going to be my downfall

EDIT: Far Cry 3 Deluxe Edition available from Direct2Play for $36.99 (Currently $44.99 on Steam and Amazon). From what I've been reading you need the Ubisoft player even if you buy it on Steam so it's the same as adding a Non-Steam game to your list. The key doesn't activate directly through Steam but it's a few bucks off so that's nice.

Many many thanks to 4dSwissCheese for Galactic Civilizations 2! I've been wanting to sink time into this for a long time! You are truly a multidimensional and holey man!

I'm having non-buyers remorse for not picking up Wargame: European Escalation yesterday for $10. Use this as a learning experience people, if something you want goes on sale, BUY IT.

I guess my pile is big enough that I should probably wait until the summer sale anyway.

I think Farcry 3 going on sale broke the interwebs, or at least my end of the steam part of them.

Steam says "Downloading" but no bytes for me, and I can't seem to view any profiles.

If you see this later, feel free to friend me up. Would love some mutliplayer on newish games to me (Borderlands 2, Torchlight 2) and always TF2.
I enjoy long walks along the beach and...okay, well the folks who've been on here real long know that one.

Hey, I just checked and I've been a member for almost exactly 9.5 years, and I remember the site being 6 months old when I joined so...

So...we doin' anything when they ding at 10 years??

Just askin'.

(Damn we're getting old.)

Absolutely, I always pay through Paypal at GMG. Apparently, banks have issues with it as it has 'gaming' in the URL, which can be linked heavily to gamlbing, a prime way of CC fraud. It's not really GMGs fault it seems.

I think that plus them being based overseas (in the UK) triggers some red flags for a lot of banks. I think GamersGate has the same problem, and they're based in Sweden.

Ah, I've never hit the UK problem

They did however block my payment once because I was behind a proxy at work, but they lifted that restriction on my account and all was well. Not entirely sure how they could tell.

Anyway, I must find a distraction to take me away from that Add to Cart button..

Just a friendly reminder: if you're interested in Closure, it's included in the current Humble Bundle.

Nobody wants these Bioshock 1 and 2 packs I got? You won't be able to add them to Steam, but they should otherwise be good, once we figure out how to deliver them. Bioshock 2 is very different from the original game, but it's really quite good, once you get past the, er, shock.

Two perfectly valid licenses for each, just going to waste....

My bank raised all kinds of flags because they're actually billing from Cyprus, which is an immediate red flag for fraud. I switched to PayPal and all's well.

I own both already, but I definitely appreciate the offer. I hope they find a good home!

Same - both great great games(with 2 being slightly superior, imo).

Spoiler:

Also, they have cheevs!

So you know that creepy weird guy who's never played Plants vs. Zombies? That was me.

Burnt Toast didn't judge me though, he just smiled benevolently, told me it would be OK, and dropped PvZ was in my inbox.

Thank you good sir!

In fact, with the partial exception of Orcs Must Die, I've never even played a tower defence game, so PvZ is a double-excellent gift

So sad that my 360 red ringed on me when I bought and just started Mark of the Ninja. I love the game but I just can't justify to my wife to buy it again

Men of War Assault Squad is up for sale. Highly recommended for a fun, tactical WW2 game.

Is there someone in the United States who would like to help me out importing Civ V GOTY and Gods and Kings?

Now seems to be the time to grab them, but they are nearly twice the price here.

(Happy to get Gods and Kings directly on Steam by the way, GMG not worth the hassle for a dollar).

Wow, did not expect Far Cry 3 to get a sale. I'll recommend it for the gameplay and hunting elements. The story is pretty average but the actual gameplay will definitely keep you entertained.

Can do. I'll send you a friend request.

FYI, using a VPN can get you the US price on GMG. $4.49 instead of $7.72.

Nuts, I could have used that info to save myself a couple of bucks. Still, it $5.41 for me instead of $3.15 and it didn't seem like that big a deal. I still hate regional pricing, but when the difference is that small, I really can't complain too much.

Cyprus is where GoG.com's based, but I can't imagine why Greenman or GamersGate would bill from there. Are you sure it was one of those two and not GoG?
This post brought to you by the letter G.

I use VPN autoconnect 1.13. Nice easy free program. GMG seems to play nice with it so if they do go the regional pricing route I'll just take a trip to America when I need something off them.

I tried that, but they wouldn't accept my Borderlinx address (suggested upthread). I don't think I'm very good at this.

Poppinfresh: Friend request accepted! Thanks so much for helping out. Paypal OK?

Thanks Prozac. Handy to know.

Gotta save some surprises
