Guild Wars 2 Catch All

Anytime I am on just shoot me a holler and I will come help you

I thought you could commune with it without having to cleanse the temple though (granted you'll need help to keep the mobs from interrupting you). Same here, although I won't be on until after next Wednesday, and hopefully you can get it done before then. It definitely helps to have a group of 5 or so people ready to do it, then instead of asking the map for help, you can tell them you're doing it and they're welcome to join in. The statue fight definitely is a pain in the ass.

Does anyone else need the Statue of Melandru skill point in Cursed Shore? It's literally the only skill challenge I have left in the entire game, and I can't get any of the other players in Cursed Shore interested in helping flip the temple so the Statue unlocks. I've been camping Cursed Shore for like three days now trying to get that last skill point.

I'll go. I'm usually on after 7pm, but this week I'm off from work so I'm on and off during the day at various times too.
Radish Blossom in-game.

I'd love to help with that skill point, but I'm only 1/3rd the way through Straights of Devastation and haven't touched the other two Orr areas yet.

I guess I'll put out there that if anyone else is starting to explore Orr and wants company when I'm on, I'd love to team up.

Also I have 3 or 4 areas in the NE corner of the map that I still need to 100% as well, Frostgorge and the areas around the Dragonbrand. Same applies for those.

That's the one in the Temple of Grenth. The one I'm referring to is north of there and has a damaging AOE field while the Temple of Melandru is contested that prevents you from communing with it.

on most evenings the Os guild on NSP leads a zerg to complete all the temple events. They usually announce in LA. keep an eye out.

I'm almost certain I got it without the temple being retaken, though I might have used Endure Pain and/or a skill that gives me stability to ignore any AoE damage.

I definetly got that one while it was contested.

I just got the game yesterday and would like to join the guild. Character name is Autopenotomy.

Be sure to follow all the instructions in the first post in this thread on GW2 guild organization (and there are a few useful links also. Did you join the Northern Shiverpeaks server, also? That's where we are.
And welcome to GW2, you're going to love it!!!

I've yet to run the Tixx dungeon, is it worth it? I can never seem to find loads of people on (GMT+4 will do that to ya), so I'm wondering if it's worth it... I kinda really want a mini griffon pet, is that shallow?

Hi. I was the random GWJer you ran into tonight. They'll need your full account name to add you. It's the one you chose, then they added four digits after it. For example, I'm Tscott.XXXX (with whatever number in place of the 'X'es). Put that in the spreadsheet and an officer will add you.

I was leveling up one of my alts tonight while doing the daily achivements. I've got a level 80 Mesmer, as well as a couple other maxed level characters, so I'd be glad to help if you have any questions along the way. (And I know many others are also glad to answer anything you may ask as well)

Once you're in the guild, be sure to click represent in the guild window in game, and then you can follow the guild chat and ask questions there.

Although that might be preferred, a character name as Alien13z posted generally sufficient because character names are unique.

Welcome aboard Alien13z.

So, I'm definitely thinking of switching servers, though I did notice the server is listed as Very High population. How bad is the lag in Lion's Arch? Do you guys ever get queued when trying to log on to the game itself? Besides this awesome bunch of people, how are the rest of the folk in game?

No login queues, little to no lag in LA, very few buttheads.

Very high is better in just about every way. Unlike other mmos where you are competing for resources and quest items and lower pop servers can help, that's simply not the case in gw2. Don't switch servers for that reason. In fact the only real reason to server swap is wvw and that's lame.

I'll switch servers so that me and my two friends can join you guys We would love to do dungeons and other stuff like that, three sometimes just doesn't cut it

Edit: Dang, Craghausered.

I believe he meant he's thinking of switching TO our server. To be with us. Because he loves us.

Cool! We'll probably switch over today. I will warn you that we are pretty casual. There are times where we just run around looking at the scenery

I think that means you'll fit right in. I"m online right now so I'll be able to send invites to you and your friends whenevr you like.

Ok, we transferred - currently playing as Sylriana Stargazer ( me ) and Eareloa ( him ). My nephew will join us at a future time.

Thanks a lot. My friend and I usually skype when we play, but we also want to be able to do dungeons and other things like that, so I'll send him the link to here so he can set up Vent for those times we want to do more than just duo.

Again, thanks!!!

So, I'm up to the level 72-ish story mission with my guardian. And he's got less than 10 maps left to fully explore.

My mesmer and thief are both level 80, as well, and adequately equipped.

So that of course means... that I'm now falling in "like" with my necromancer. I now understand the death shroud ability a bit better (before -when I bothered to use it- I was getting max life force and using it all up at once, rather than jumping in and out of death shroud as needed). Now I'm thinking of making a build that buffs death shroud and keeps it up so I can go in and out of it at will.

So odd, I also have an 80 mesmer and thief and working on a necro alt.....wierd. No guardian though, I tend to avoid "easy mode"

Cobble wrote:

I'll give no arguments there. He is pretty easy compared to the others. Not much dodging (until he or his party needs the heals his dodging is traited for). Just group the mobs around him- set them on fire and spin with the greatsword. Can be boring at times, but he has his moments- Like when I took on a Champion Ogre event in the Fields of Ruin all by myself. It took every skill from both weapon sets and all my utility skills several cycles to take it down, but in the end I was triumphant. Not sure if I could've done that with my thief or mesmer.

The death shroud once you get to a point where you can pop in and out essentially becomes a block, or a dodge, you can use it to soak big damage spikes and big attacks.

As for guardians, I would say for PvE overworld maps they definitely are easy ode, but then again so are about 4/8 of the classes (ranger, warrior, necro, guardian, are quite easy). Once you get into dungeons, fractals, and pvp the picture gets a bit muddied. Being a guardian and having the strongest attack priority from the AI (because you have the highest Armor rating or for another esoteric reason) is kinda rough going.

If you like WvW, then Northern Shiverpeaks is a wasteland. I have zero regrets switching servers with my guild to get on a more WvW-focused server - it's been like night & day. (And it's not like we swapped very high up, which would run the risk of being lame.... we swapped from tier 5 to tier 4, and then have helped the server advance to tier 3)

That's priceless, my main is Eleima Stargazer!
Like Cobble said, there's no competing for resources or the like, so a high population server isn't a bad thing. I've had little to no lag in Lion's Arch (no feedback on queues, though), and I'm marooned in the middle of the Indian Ocean!!
Looking forward to seeing you on the server!!!

NSP got kinda screwed with the who titan alliance fallout thing. That created a pretty big vacuum in WvW talented/oriented guilds on the server, and very few "good" guilds want to come back here.
