Questions you want answered.

Long story short, I got a text from an unknown number yesterday while at lunch with a friend. It started with a "Sup?", and ended with a picture of a penis about an hour later.

This dude obviously thought I'm someone else, and I was hoping I would find out who it was before I had to pull a "Uh, so who is this anyway?", but the penis sort of threw me for a loop so I never found out just exactly what was going on.

I responded with "Ok, WTF. Who is this? Why did I just receive a penis?"

And I received nothing in return. Was this a porn text spam? I think it was a real person, AND if it was you would imagine the person they thought I was was in their saved contacts.

Who lives in Washington and British Columbia because we need to hook up and part-tay at PAX Prime, Slap and Tickles, get-togethers and such.

I had friends in Penticton. I don't know how short of a trip it is to the border, but I guess a few hours is short to some. I don' t live in Vancouver anymore though, so I guess that's all I have to donate to the conversation.

Actually, I guess I can ask, where did you move from? And why to Penticton of all places??

Umm... I have to question if it really matters. Obviously the person didn't mean to send YOU the picture. I'd say thanks anyways, and leave it at that. Oh, and be scarred for life.

Since one of the more recent steam updates my steam toolbar icon appears to always be showing a loading progress bar, as it would if I was installing a game. I have no idea what it's installing, though.

Oh I know it doesn't matter. It was just the oddest thing that has ever happened to me.

I don't think Vrikk wanted to say anything publicly, but.... you should get that thing checked out by a doctor... there's something a little off about it

The corkscrew shape is just a side effect of the pig mask from Hotline Miami.

This ended up being last year's main PAX thread. There are quite a few of us here, though we're bad at frequency... so far there are standing gigs for PAX and Intl. GWJ Day, and maybe a couple others when we're organized enough to sort it out.

Thanks.

1) I'm awesome. You needed to know that.

2) This coffee has booze in it. It's good. Also FYI.

3) I got a job in Penticton where I will be writing for an online news web site. I will have monies, benefits, tech allowance and mileage paid for.

Does Natural Selection 2 have a single player mode?

As far as I know there's no option to actually add any AI to it, but there is a "training" mode where you can walk around and explore the maps. You also get to see what the buildings do, and can jump into the commander's positions and figure out how they operate as well. But I wouldn't really call it a single-player mode, since it's just for learning purposes.

Penticton's a good 5 hour drive from Vancouver with all those mountain roads to contend with, so a good 8 hour trip from Seattle. I've lived in both cities and it's no short jaunt.

Eight hours is OK. I've driven to Penguincon twice and that's 12+ hours one-way. I'm ready to party.

Is it alright if I bring my clones? And thanks man, that's appreciated.

Have you ever listened to Schaeffer the Darklord's song Clone F*****? Unfortunately that's the song that went through my head when you talked about brining your clones.

What I know of this song are the words you typed. That alone was enough to make me download it. You will be spared when We Begin.

Clover and Edwin at Pencon? Let's have Clover and Edwin at Pencon.

Does the maximum difficulty in Darksiders just make enemies annoying hit-point sponges or does it add different gameplay elements?

Now I'm picturing a row of Strangeblades heads in pickle jars.

Do we have a make up your own silly/snarky/whatever game of the year award thread yet for 2012? I remember having a lot of fun with a thread like this last year just can't remember if it was here or somewhere else.

Might want to pop over to this thread. I think that's what you're looking for.

Ugh. One of my rubber feet for my RAT 7 mouse is damaged.

Is there a homemade remedy for this? Tape? Or can you buy new mice feet?

I have some extra ones that came with my Steelseries glass mousepad. PM me an address, and I will mail them to you for free if you would like. They've just been sitting in a drawer forever. The standard pads on the G500 work just fine for me.

Nope, haven't seen one.
