Oh? Did you have thoughts?

Well, not yet we don't, it's too soon to tell!!!

I'll be interested to see what 'weighing in' is, although I'm sure it's determined by company policy I find it hard to believe they'd let a developer say much more than the official marketing does, even after release. I'm thinking of 'the competition' and most often it seems they're limited to carefully vetted clarification on points that have already been released through official channels. They can't have all the developers stealing their thunder with things like "Hey, you know what's the best thing at the top of the illusion spell tree? Can you say 'stop hitting yourself'? I just got an invading player army to kill themselves"

Should I convince Zonk to get himself in trouble with his boss? No, probably not.

I am still excited for the game. I just watched the "Misconceptions" video and the world looks gorgeous and fun to explore. I hope controllers are officially supported. Lack of controller support has become a deal breaker for me.

Have you tried using Joy To Key to map a controller to various keyboard/mouse inputs? My fiancé uses a controller to play Guild Wars 2 and SWtOR and it works pretty darn well. She has to grab the mouse to aim ground-targeted AOE effects, but pretty much everything else works just fine. I'm sure she'll be doing the same with ESO.

I will say that your involvement gives me more hope for the final product than I might otherwise have, with my cynical heart two sizes too small.

I'll inevitably give this a shot, and will go the Orc or Breton route when I do.

Breton then, as the Orcs have not been confirmed as a playable race yet, which I find weird, as they would match well with the Bretons and Hammerfell, in theory at least, for fighting against the Aldmeri Dominion as another group that's always been a bit independent.

Makes me sad the Khajiit are in the Dominion, otherwise I would totally go for them. I'll be curious to see what they do with the racial abilities of the races though, as 50% magicka resistance would be pretty overpowered for magic based encounters and PVP against spellcasters. Same with the Argonian resistances to disease and poison.

Huh, I could've sworn I saw that Orcs will be one of the playable races (heck, I thought ALL the established groups in the Elder Scrolls would be).

Why do that when you could hold them back for an expansion?

You are a devious man, Quintin_Stone.

Hehe, just familiar with the industry!

Also devious.

Yes, also that!

Erm- Orcs were confirmed months ago, when they first started releasing info about the playable factions. They are part of the Daggerfall Covenant, along with the Bretons and Redguard.

All 9 races are confirmed I think.

Yep yep. I think they had to realize that not including all the traditional races would have shot the game in the foot.

Don't you mean the knee?

Ugh. That's so bad I wish I had thought of it.

I want to marry that bad joke and give it lots of little bad puns. Thanks for the tears of laughter, Cragmyre.

Jeeze, do they want my inside leg measurement too?

Not any different from most other beta sign ups.

What is new and kinda nice that it tells you the likelihood of you getting in.

YAY, i got an Excellent

One wonders if maybe the OP could hook us up with a guild invite.

I got excellent too. But I am worried because I filled out the form on my crappy work computer so I was not able to do the dxdiag. I wrote an explanation in the dialog box explaining such and filled it out with my home computer's info. I hope that doesn't screw up my application.

I also put GWJ alliance and gamerswithjobs.com on the guild info section. I know we had people complain during the RIFT beta, but screw them, GWJ totally counts as a guild. The mmo section of these boards should be counted no different that any other cross-game guild website.

Notice the cleverness of the application, however. They say your chances are excellent but no where does it say whether you are getting into the first or last round

Awww, I only got "above average". Oh well, I'm hoping my previous experience in alpha and beta testing mods for BG1 & 2 as well as fluency in both English and French will help sway the vote. I even offered to translate, I'm that desperate! I really, really, really want to get my hands on this....

I put Gamers With Jobs as my guild. Hopefully someone who is in the know will see that and give someone of a certain guild a certain priority entrance
Shalalm Baskur, MZ!

I filled the notes section with ASCII wangs. I know that'll improve my chances.

I've not been able to complete it without it throwing an error back at me
