It applied the $5 promotional credit, so it cost me only $2.50 for LEGO LOTR.

Which promotional credit was that?

I don't know if it's from the Dark Souls I bought a moment before or something else I bought before today. It applied the credit automatically.

Yea; I just bought the Harry/Batman Lego pack and no discount was applied. I don't mind the $13.99 price for the 3 games; but it must be a promotion I did not receive from one of my prior purchases. This has been the year of the non-steam sale for sure.

Good % discounts so far on Amazon dailies:
12/24: Batman Arkham GOTY Pack (75% off), Harry Batman Pack (80% off), Scribblenauts Unlimited (75% off)

Looks at Amazon's calendar for upcoming dailies & salivates....
12/25: Borderlands 2, XCOM: Enemy Unknown, Guild Wars 2
12/26: Battlefield 3: Premium, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, Guild Wars 2
12/27: The Walking Dead, Saints Row: The Third, F.3.A.R.
12/28: Civilization Games
12/29: Arma 2: Combined Operations, Mass Effect Trilogy, Big EA Bundle
12/30: Tomb Raider: Underworld, Hitman: Absolution
12/31: Spore Ultimate, Battlefield Bad Company 2 Ultimate

Any idea what the Amazon Editors Choice games will be in January?

There should be a link in the promotional credit email you got, but if not, the list is here.

From the product page...

Object Creator -
Create original objects on Wii U, assign unique properties, and share them with other players online. Use them in game or modify them as you like!

Does this mean you cannot create objects on PC?
Seems odd, but you never know what crazy things game devs will do.

You can create objects on PC. They have a steam workshop for scibblenauts.

Amazon has Sleeping Dogs (PC only) for $17.49. Requires Steam.

I just grabbed that the other day on GMG for a smidge over £7, thoroughly enjoying it.

Everyone that has a PS3 and doesn't have Journey should buy Journey.

Yessir!

Fair enough!

The podcast segment on the game got me really excited to play it, until I realized afterward it was an exclusive. Ohs nos! Never been much of a consoler, which sounds unfortunate in this case.

I think this is the first time it's gone on sale. Not a huge drop, but I had other things going on.

Episode 1 of The Walking Dead is free for today only (12/25/12) on XBLA:

I'm going to have to take a look at that Guild Wars 2 daily. If it drops past the 50% mark, I'm going to have to cave.

Got some Amazon gift card money this year, as usual. So as long as X-Com matches the Steam sale price, it will probably be the right price, since it's technically free. Like to spread that gift card out as long as I can though.

Is there an easy way to say, get one month free of Playstation Plus?

Agreed; I wish I could find more details on the Guild Wars 2 daily deals... guess I just have to wait until tomorrow.

Buy the Journey pack. $30 for that, and the two other games (Flow, Flower), and some bonus soundtracks and stuff, plus a free month of PS+.

Not really easy, nor free.

That's the only deal I've heard of lately. There were holiday Vita bundles that included some free months too, but that's $200+

That's a good marketing move. First taste is free, kids!

For those who didn't see:

Guild Wars 2 - $29.99

NBA 2K13 - $14.99

Borderlands 2 - $29.99

Borderlands 2 4 Pack - $89.99

XCOM: Enemy Unknown - $24.99

Tantalizing THQ Medley

Darksiders Franchise Pack - $13.19

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 - $47.99

I was really hoping for GW2 to be more than 50% off. Guess I will wait to see if it does soon.

Me, too, though I think $25 (allowing for a $5 off credit, if you have one) isn't bad. At $20, though, picking it up would be a no brainer.

It is a lot of gaming for not much money. GW2 generally respects your time by not making you grind and respects your social links by allowing you to play with friends via automatic down leveling everywhere in the world. It was worth it at twice the price. Planning to buy gems for the second time already.

I've been having a blast in GW2 without buying any gems.

Cool.

I think it's tough to know when to jump into a new MMO. WoW has bored the piss out of me (where previously I had to clear my schedule when I re-subbed) and LotRO, though I respect it, is much the same. I'm starting to wonder whether I'm one of those gamers who are just over conventional MMO's, but GW2 looks so cool, I think I must try it at some point.

And it doesn't force you to play as well.

There is content for all level. And even new events auto scale you to level 80 to take part in the party.

So far, I like this MMO, even tho I got no time to play. I know it will still be there to play later.

Do you have a link to this one? It doesn't come up in Amazon search. I swear I saw it the other day but now all I see is the individual games or the season pass, but this is a much better deal, cheaper than Steam again.

EDIT: Amazon search failed but google found it.

Here, for anyone else.
