Goojers with job opportunities

This is not a job opportunity that I have, but is one that I stumbled across.

I will pay many of your American dollars to anybody who can make the EN World server go zoom zoom speedy fast fast. We're probably talking sitting down for several hours and remotely giving it a full 'service'. We have a heavily customized vBulletin so we're talking databases and webservers and apaches and PHPs and MySQLs and other things of that ilk.

This needs to happen ASAP, and I'll happily hand over a couple of hundred dollars to anybody who can make this happen quickly. Please drop me a line at [email protected].

In light of Hurricane Sandy, I'm going to make a quick plug for my company, Carr Astronautics, in Greenbelt, MD. We're working on the ground system software for the next generation of GOES weather satellites that makes NOAA's predictions. We also do other satellite instrument imagery work. We're looking for Java and C++ developers, scientists and a Business Developer. Pay and benefits are great, and you'll get to work with some really smart scientists, engineers and me.

Can you explain a little bit more about this part? Do they actually work with satallite imagery?

Please note we are located in Denver.

Below is the copy/paste of the job posting, if you're interested please send your resume to darius at nexuswebstudio.com and include that you're a Goodjer! Also note the message at the very end: Please include links to web portfolio or previous design/UI work along with your resume.

Thanks, Grump! Hiring again, btw We won't have customers any more but we still have a lot of interesting problems to work on applying data science and machine learning to pricing and revenue optimization. Polyglot dev shop, lean and experimental, and fully autonomous from the big orange mothership.

We're bringing on something like 300 new jobs over the course of the two years, so there's lots of openings.

Here's the company's website.

We're hiring for all this stuff on the technical side and there's all kinds of business roles open on the website above(I'm not on that side of the house, so I'm not as familiar with what they're recruiting for there.)

Here's what's open:
Sr. Engineer
Security Architect
Sr Interaction Designer
Sr Interaction Engineer
Medicare Product manager
Design Lead
Solutions Architect
SQL DBA
Release Manager
Manager of QA
Technical Business Analyst
Software Engineer
EBS Business Analyst

PM me for additional details, etc.

I am recruiting a computer programmer for an immediate full time position. The ideal candidate will have experience programming medical devices or experience with quality systems. The candidate is required to be expert with linux, C, and GTK. Ten years experience or more is preferred.

In addition, I am looking for a consultant. The consultant will have experience interfacing scientific test equipment (meters) to PC based software. The consultant will implement a software design which will be used for calibration and quality control testing of a medical device. Experience working in a regulated industry is preferred. Software can be written for Windows or Linux. LabView or other environments will be considered based upon the expertise of the consultant.

Please PM me if you are interesting in learning more about these opportunities or know of someone who may fit these qualifications.

Probably a long shot, but does anyone know of anybody looking for a Linux sysadmin around Ann Arbor, MI? Friend of mine in the area is looking for work.

Long shot here, but thought I'd put my nose out: anyone looking for a Business/Systems/Security Analyst in the Baltimore/DC area? My workload at my current job is declining, and no new projects are on the horizon... which means I'm getting itchy and bored.

If you want my LinkedIn name, just let me know. If it's not an immediate filling, that's fine - I'm not in dire straights yet, but I'm definitely looking.

I'll pop in again to mention that I'm again looking to hire Datacenter Technicians and Unix System Administrators in lower Manhattan and Bridgewater, New Jersey.

I will be relocating to Nashville, Tn in the next 2-3 months and will be looking for pretty much any type of IT position that will allow me to utilize my A+ certification (working on Net+ and Sec+). In addition I have 16 months of remote troubleshooting experience with broadband networks, VOIP, cable modems, and DTA's.

I can go into more exacting detail when necessary.

I will be looking in Nashville and the surrounding area, I am just putting out some feelers ahead of time. If you or someone you know will be looking for more personnel in the next few months, by all means give me the heads up. I can bribe when/if necessary.

Will do. Thanks.

I may know of something but it's about an hour drive away from Nashville maybe a little longer. PM me if you're interested.

My girlfriend's company is looking for a Payroll Processor in Nashville. PM me for details.

Apply anyway. Worst they can do is say no. I thought I was woefully underqualified for everything I applied for, but looked at most requirements as "we'd like to have this."

Ditto. For my position they wanted someone with a CS degree and experience in software design/architectural when my position has nothing to do with that. I think it's just a case of HR not knowing.

Huron Consulting Group's Click division is hiring! And we are hiring a bunch, we have a ton of growth potential right now and corporate is all in on us.

The Click division is located in Beaverton, OR. We are hiring for just about every aspect of software development, there are multiple positions for each of these jobs:
Director of Product Management - soon we will be hiring product managers to work under this person.
Sr QA Analysts
Software Engineering Manager - You could be my manager!
Sr. Software Engineer (Application Developer) - This is what I am right now and I love it.
Sr. Software Engineer (Application Lead) - This is the position I want, but if you're better then me, I'll let you have it I guess.
Sr. Technical Consultant
Technical Consultant
Software Engineer

Oh and so the type of software we do is for higher education and research based institutions. I work in the application division developing our IRB product. We work in Javascript and eventually more C#. Custom SDK that is very intelligent to work in and very object oriented. Really good people and good environment, fully stocked kitchen, etc.

This is a long shot, but what the heck.

MonoCheli needs a new servant Assistant Innkeeper. This is a salaried position, but does not include living arrangements in the castle. This position is long term, and will be a part of the management team for the castle. Hospitality experience would be great, but isn't strictly necessary.

What we're looking for is: the ability to work hard, the willingness to learn a variety of tasks, ability to work well within a small team.

Potential tasks on any given day could include: office work, event planning, housekeeping, marketing, light cooking, bartending, teaching and/or playing games with guests (yes, that's actually one of the jobs!). Would require overnight innsitting on occasion.

If you or someone you know is interested, PM me here, or email me at jobs at ravenwoodcastle.com.

I am in the early stages. But I will be registering, and applying for 501C3 status for a non profit dedicated to assisting veterans in getting their benefits for disability, pension, etc. The focus will be on low income, homeless, disabled veterans. The early scope will be in the Milwaukee, Chicago, some Detroit Area. I am looking to make my base of operations in Milwaukee next year.

This is entirely based on funding, on my ability to hire. But the more funding I get, the more assistance I hire, the more vets I help.

People with experience securing charitable funding, corporate grants, fund raising are very much needed.
People with social services, SSI, VA work experience are required-to do intake, to follow up with clients, to follow up with courts, etc.
People with a background in psychology, speech pathology, neuroscience, medicine are welcome. So much of the work is translating doctor to VA speak.
A legal background is not required, VA law is a crazy unique place.

Shoot me a PM, as I am in the earlier stages right now. But especially people in the Milwaukee area would be most welcome to have on hand.

We're still looking for good people. Most positions are in Washington State and North Carolina but we do have one in Illinois.

Well, I'm learning a big lesson why it can be a terrible idea to step in and run a family business. When my parents presented me with the idea of taking over, there was that little small voice that said "don't do it!" But seeing as I was unemployed and in a terrible economy, it's not like I had 3,000 other offers on the table. So I took it and have been regretting it for the most part ever since.

I pretty much had enough today so now I get to hit the open market again. I haven't actually left and won't until I find something else, but let's just say I'm hoping something comes along quickly!

Been there and done that. I will go back into the food service industry before I breach that familial dam again, as it were.

I am trying to make the transition into program management from technical sales. I have a good deal of background doing tpm work, though never held the title. Most of my background is in telecom, cloud, and managed hosting/storage.

I currently reside in the DC area, but realize that post-sequester, things are about to get really ugly so am willing to relocate.

Little help?

Paleo, you might want to check out what CACI has to offer.

Might find something that fits without having to relocate.
