League Of Legends Catch All

glad you like him =)

adorable overload...

Anybody want to go in with me on a RP/skin/champ exchange? I was thinking about buying some but thought if someone else wants to we could just gift them to each other and get the new summoner icons in the process.

hmm, ok, I might take you up on that

Sounds like a good idea to me.

Complex and I traded skins, so if anyone wants to trade $20 in RP or a champ, let me know. I'd prefer trading a cheap champ or one on sale.

I signed up for the website finally!

that was them patching I think. It kicked everyone out for the patch.

naw, there are notes up about there being technical issues they're looking into. it was all down for about 20 mins. I assume patch is still coming later...

Legacy skin sale started today, going through Jan. 6. Here's a reddit post with the skins and their prices:

I might buy one or two, but there's none on there that I really want.

i bought some cheap 260s for a few i dont play too often and dont have any skins i want. like sas nunu or pharaoh mumu

So how are folks liking Vi? Only got to play a custom with her, but her kit seems fun. I do wish she wouldn't forget her current move order when you start charging your Q, and I'd greatly prefer an expanding circle (like Varus' Q) over the existing dash line. One of her videos showed that she used to have the vastly superior expanding circle, so hopefully they will realize that a growing dash line is dumb and revert it.

I love her kit, still playing with masteries/runes though. The dash has so much utility for escapes and gap closing, it seems If her ult is up and she wants to get to you you're not getting away.

About f*cking time...

Standardized RP/IP prices, and regular price reductions with each new release.

New champion launch price is… 7800 IP / 975 RP
After one week, the price is reduced to… 6300 IP / 975 RP
Each release, the oldest 6300 is reduced to… 4800 IP / 880 RP
Each third release, an additional 4800 IP or lower champion is reduced to one of the remaining tiers… 3150 IP / 790 RP
1350 IP / 585 RP
450 IP / 260 RP

Sounds like a really smart marketing move to me, props to them.

Hmm, moving those old 6.3k ones down is good, especially the old ones, but it just seems like they might now bottleneck at that price.

Well I didn't post the whole article. They moved like the 8 oldest from 6300 to 4800 immediately. And I imagine a lot of those "3rd champ release" reductions will be the 4800s. But the nice part too is the RP/IP prices are finally staggered. So a 4800 or 3150 reduction actually reduces RP price too, and if there's a sale, will reduce that further. Definitely will be a lot more opportunities to fill out your rosters.

Note that they only reduce prices on release. This means there should be a set number of champions at 6300 but a now growing number at 4800. Fast forward 10-20 releases and you have a lot of 4800 now and a few being moved to lower, or already low ones that don't sell being lowered. If anything this feels like they are trying to counter the complaints of high ip prices without actually fixing it. Maybe I am just jaded though.

Yeah, I saw that, but really those 8 oldest should already be 3150 or lower. Riot has been keeping their price high due to their demand. With the move to 4800 and only lowering a 4800 or lower, ie most likely lower ones that are not moving already they can keep those 8 at 4800 almost indefinitely.

Yeah there will probably be a glut of 4800, but that's better than a glut of 6300 right?

Baby steps.

I would like to note that this also doesn't say the are going to apply this rp range to skins. Would be nice if the reduced old skin prices.

Skins are so much extra candy though that's unnecessary to the game play that i think making more money off skins and less off champs is totally cool.

Now, I really like numbers. Its a curse I tell you, so I shall force the results on you all! Here is some numbers I got from looking at the store.

It looks like there was 40 champs at 6300. Now there are 32, and with each champ release bumping a champion from 6300 down, there will from this point on always be 32 champions at 6300. Currently there are also 21 at 4800, 25 at 3150, 21 at 1350, and 10 at 450. Actually there will be 32/31 at 6300 on next champ release, with 31 for the first week as they now charge more IP that first week. Anyways you can see from the numbers that with this large bump of 8 characters from the 6300 to 4800 that rank (4800) has now increased to be tied for 3rd most common price. In the coming releases with at least the next 2/3 (3 if the price reduction is from another price slot than 4800) going into that slot it will quickly become the second most common price tag. The question is if riot would ever allow it to become first? at the moment it gets 1 per release, with every 3 releases it has a chance (of unknown odds) to loose one. That means that in 11 - 22 releases it should at least meet or pass the 6300 slot assuming half or less of the reductions come from that slot. Another interesting question is if the 450 or 1350 ranks will grow much between now and then? With only 10 at 450 it is by far the smallest group, though not the oldest champions. Out of the top 10 oldest champions, according to their sorting, 2 are at 450, 2 are at 1350, 4 are at 3150, and 2 at 4800 (1 of those two is Vlad who was just now moved to the 4800 cost). I wonder if Vlad or Galio (other 4800) would see a price drop in the upcoming releases? For all transparency sakes, including the next 5 would include 3 more 450s (yi, ryze, and sivir) and 2 more 1350s (sion and alistar) making it so that the largest group wasn't 3150. But still, having 4 in oldest 10 or oldest 15 at the middle price and 2 at the upper middle price seems like this price reduction has been a thing long in the waiting.

Also, I am a little interested to note that the RP price for 3150 is 790 not 487 the price 975 champions are when half off. That the price doesn't drop below 500 at all until you get to those 10 450 champs. This makes 3150 and 1350 champs still cost more than 5 dollars (650 RP) and 450 champs able to be bought for 2 and change for 5. I guess its better than how it was before where it was 975 for most champs at any IP price. Where a 4800 champ and 3150 champ were same RP price as a 6300. Though a 90 and 180 RP reduction seems like a little light. Hopefully someday they will make the RP prices more variable. For now I will just keep using IP for my champ purchases.

One last note on numbers. DId anyone else notice that Phantom Karthus is the only skin I have ever seen at the price of 230? All the others are at 260, why is that one alone 30 RP less?

Son, this happens because you touch yourself at night.

For champions I follow the route of picking up older 6300's when they're on sale with RP, unless I'm sure that I despise their kit. Just about every champ gets patched to usefulness at some point, so I'll still grab ones that are currently considered weak. Anything priced under 6300, or new, I pick up with IP.

Morello also said this is just the plan for the next year. The pace of champion releases is going to slow down, with 14-17 champs planned for next year.
