Sounds so expensive, but I'm an FF n00b. Is it really that good?

It really depends on your tastes.
Is it price-gouging? Yes. This game has been ported to so many platforms that there is no conceivable way they are still recouping development costs from a game that launched back in 1998. Is it fantastic? I believe that it is.

Didn't the iOS version have significant performance issues when it launched? If so, have those been fixed?

Great game, but I haven't played the iOS port.

I think that was a symptom of the hardware people were playing on more than the port. It was a bit slow on my 3GS, but I haven't noticed any slowdown on my 4S. I'd imagine it would run very smoothly on iPad 2+.

Some people had issues with the touch controls, but I thought they were fine. I'd highly recommend the game. There is still nothing else like it for iOS.

What was the original platform?

PSOne I believe.

It's actually War of the Lions, the upgraded PSP version.

If you have PS Plus you can get the PSP version for free. Also, the PSP version has been regularly on sale for $5-10 if you would prefer that version and own a PSP/Vita.

I wasn't ever planning on buying this, but you guys are really making me think it over. Don't you know there's a Steam sale on that I'm trying my best to ignore?

Solforge Demo is up. Free game, will be a few hours of pseudo-board gaming goodness.

Spectromancer HD is on sale for $0.99 today.

For 99 cents I can't not double dip on Bastion.

I really wish i like bastion enough to do it...maybe it will be a good tech demo on the new piece of kit. goin for it.

Oh my. This never even crossed my mind, but now that it's here, I can't believe I hadn't thought about the possibility before. Twisty little passages... here I come!

I looked at the Zork game real quick. The manual is presented complete in game, as is a map. Also, the box is there in digital form - you can rotate and zoom in to your heart's content. A zorkmid coin is also there, and also turntable and zoomable. As you can see, just the extras are getting me giddy. Some years ago (many many years ago) they released "The Lost Treasures of Infocom" on new-fangled CD, which had that stuff in a huge paper manual. This is so much better.

Arg! No! Why did I check this thread?! So many games!

Play as an annoying self-absorbed moody teenager, otherwise he'll disappear into the void and be forgotten forever!
Oh sorry, you wanted to be enabled

f*ck, f*ck and f*ck... **Loads up another iTunes store credit card.**

Seriously, between these, the Steam sale and the XBLA Countdown to the New Year Sale my wallet is getting well and truly rogered.

Same here, except take out XBLA and add in the GoG.com sale plus all the stuff I've Kickstartered. Not including airfare, show tickets and hotel booking I made for PAXAus next July.

I'd love some enablement or disenablement for Conquest! Medieval Realms, Haggis, Infinity Blade II, all on sale. Thanks bunches!

I've enjoyed Haggis - I've mostly played it on my iPhone. It's a ladder game, much like Tichu - good for a quick hand. $1.99 is the best price it has been.

Anyone who loves a bit of Papercrafting, 50% off for a limited time. Photo import coming soon according to the release notes.

Some IAP for themed 'bits', but the saving on the SRP would cover a few of those.
