Do we have a catch-all thread for S.T.A.L.K.E.R.? My searches turn up a bunch of stuff but nothing clearly labeled, and it's not easy to see from the search page which threads have been the busiest or even the most recently updated.

I believe this is the most current one and it's about the Complete Mod; not a general Catch All by any means.

Discussion of the series in general has been pretty much split between that and the Call of Pripyat thread.

Lip reading is always an option too, sometimes with better results than the source material

I'm tempted to start a new, unifying thread, then.

Regarding Android OS questions... why not just try it out?

Install this sucker on a USB stick. Boot your PC from the USB stick and enjoy!

It is genuinely easy to install. There are a few tutorials on the web, and the website linked above has installation instructions. I have an old XP based netbook that I was looking to give a new lease on life. 2 hours later it is dual booting XP and Android. For the most part, runs like butter.

Where's a good place to sell Iphone 4's? I have two with AT&T, one I'm using currently and one that is in good condition where everything works except for sporadic mic function. People usually can here me talk, but sometimes not...

I'd like to sell both and grab a Nexus 4 when they're in stock.

I'm interested in some of these websites where you just ship it off to them and they pay you by check or Paypal. Seems simple enough. I could try to sell it locally by Craigslist, but that sounds like a hassle...

I don't have any FHE, but have looked at Gazelle in the past. Just checked, and "fair condition" AT&T iPhone 4 16gb is going for $145.

Aside from that, when it comes time to offload my iPhones, I'll just be using Craigslist. I don't mind dealing cash, and you can get a slightly better rate than selling online (usually between $150 and $250, depending on size).

If there's a budget for it, I expect that hearing aids have come a long way since the wrap around the ear kind.

There are advertisements on TV all of the time for the little earplug looking ones. Can't say as I know about the remote though.

I'll be getting these so my sons don't have to shout at me like I'm starting to have to do with my parents. Put a lifetime of automotive manufacturing equipment, power tools, motorized recreational vehicles, and such, on top of the ageing process and it's a recipe for deafness.

Right, I think we'll assume no budget limit until we see how much no budget limit actually means and work down from there.

The budget for this will probably be shocking. I think this sort of thing falls into the same category as, when you prefix something with wedding, marine, or... health care, the cost is multiplied by a significant factor. My grandmother is in need of hearing aids, and there was some discussion about whether or not she should be paying for it by herself or not, at 87. If I recall correctly the number thrown around for cost was in the $4k range.

Wikipedia - neat entry.

Some models allow the wearer to use a mobile phone as a remote control to alter memory and volume settings, instead of taking the IIC out to do this. IIC types are most suitable for users up to middle age, but are not suitable for more elderly people.

He once had a pair that cost $5k... yeah it's pretty crazy. Hope we can find something substantially less expensive. Unfortunately a smartphone option won't work as he needs physical buttons, since his eyesight is terrible. His memory is amazing though, he can recall how many buttons down and across he needs to go on a remote to use his stereo and tv.

What are the chances that some insane lunatic will cause some kind of devastation on Dec. 21?

Or do nut jobs specifically avoid these occasions because people are expecting it?

Thanks, I have checked out Gazelle, they look pretty legit and well known, I might use them. I could just do Craigslist as well, but I see some being sold in my area for not much more than that $145. $150-175, a bit better.

Not sure, I'm thinking most people will be at home cracking open beers waiting to see what happens though. Or, won't care....

Thanks guys

This is a gaming site. P&C means "point and click" adventures!

Can anyone recommend a company that will do decent-quality (but relatively inexpensive) runs of sticker printing?

Makestickers.com is who we use for bumper stickers at the castle. I believe they do other types as well. Good quality, not very expensive, nice to deal with.

How important is immobilization in healing a fractured scapula?

Let's say, hypothetically, the fracture is fine enough to be missed by the emergency physician, but could be caught by the radiologist the next day, in the second opinion cross check.

I hear the sling is really annoying and actually more uncomfortable then free wheeling it. They say the strap goes right across the scapula.

This is not medical advice: Ouch.

id suggest asking the physician this, I suspect that if the crack is that small the sling will be really short term.

honestly if it's not going to affect the healing, I'd rather not physio a shoulder out of immobilization.

Uhm, hypothetically speaking of course.

Just got offered a job in Lloydminster, Alberta/Saskatchewan (it's a border town, as in cut in half by the provincial border).

Any Goodjers out there or in Edmonton?

Why does VM Ware have 6 different file formats for VMs? Why haven't they, as a technology platform provider, solidified on a single format (especially with an "open virtualmachine format" or OVF having been ratified)? Wouldn't it make things *gasp* easier?

I really can't see a material difference between the various formats...

I want to switch my secondary xbox to my main one, so that when I turn it on it downloads things i buy over xbox.com. The website is not helping me to figure this out. What am I doing wrong?

It does. VMWare defaults to .VMX. Everything else is support for other formats to make migration easier. I wish I could give you the differences between the formats, but tbh, I don't know them.

You can migrate the account to your other. I think that will solve your problem. "Transfer content licenses" http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-l...

How do you arrange your physical game library?

On a shelf next to my new TV in the man-cave:) It seems like last time I did this there was a registration where I made one console my main/default console.

I think that what you have to do is to download something on the XBox you want to be your main box, and all future downloads will go there.
