There are actually achievements for doing missions in co-op. :D

Co-op incoming!

All the missions, I believe. I also think there's one for 5+ hours of co-op.

I'd be down for some co-op as well. Especially on the stupid sniper levels. Holy moley do I suck at those. Heh.

Got my disc back today, I know Sally was talking about doing some co-op on the 360.

Sally was totally playing this game solo until he heard the phrase "dildobat jedi".

I really need to pick this up on the 360, but I also need to resubscribe to Gold.

I have long since beaten the game, but never did play co-op. I'd still be interested in doing that some day.

Are you on PC? Feel free to hit me up.

On 360, but thanks!

Also of note, the fully loaded version of this GotY for 2011 is out next week.

If you haven't bought it, buy it.

If you have bought it, but haven't played it, then now would be a great time.

Just got a code, i am having this problem http://forums.steampowered.com/forum...

Soooo I am sad, long ass download and a crash on start up. The directX exe. doesn't launch and causes death.

I'm assuming you've verified the cache, and deleted/redownloaded the game and it didn't help. Did you go to the folder and manually delete any leftover files (default location should be C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\saints row the third) or did you just "Delete local content" through Steam? That doesn't always work, as Steam left 12 gb worth of files after it supposedly uninstalled Borderlands 1. Also try deleting the clientregistry.blob file from the main Steam folder, no idea if it will solve the problem, but I know it's fixed so many different problems that it's nearly a standard step when troubleshooting Steam games.

Yeah verify the cache and restart the pc.

Occasionally, I still get the problem where it crashes when you start it, right after the message about auto-saving. I've never found a solution for it after trying all sorts of voodoo and sacrifices. Annoyingly, it just starts working if I wait a day or so. My understanding is that it's DRM-related, which is really really disappointing.

We were talking about this game at lunch today and months later it's still the most crazy fun I've had in a game world in a long time. After the discussion three of us reinstalled.

If you buy the Full Package on 360, using the online pass buggers the DLC. 'Solution?' Transfer some of the DLC to a memory stick, then keep that plugged into the 360.

Of course I find this out only after my copy arrives.

What a joke.

Wife bought this for me for Christmas. We're celebrating on the Eve, so I'll have all day Christmas to play this. Really excited, especially as she bought the full version with all DLC included. Can't wait!

It is a fun game and I think I completed just about everything in it, but I never got a VTOL Homie. It's been many moons since I've played now so I'm not sure if it was a glitch or just me being boneheaded somewhere along the way.

Never unlocked the option, or never got it to work? That one and the helicopter homie could rarely land for me unless I was in a wide open space. Otherwise, they'd just attempt to land over and over again on top of a building or the train tracks until I shot them down. If they did eventually manage to get unstuck and land, I praised them for doing a good job, then threw a Fart in a Jar at them and killed them for their incompetence.

That's Sainting it right.

The landing AI for vehicle deliveries is pretty stupid. I never managed to get them to land successfully on any spot that wasn't a road. And even then they would fail half the time unless it was an intersection. Someone had a nice solution to this which was to use the vehicle RC controller thing to take over the vehicle and land it manually.

I think it was LobsterMobster, and that's exactly what I'd do, it worked great except when my own intelligence for vehicle deliveries were stupid and I either crashed it instead of landing it, or accidentally detonated it once it was finally parked next to me instead of exiting the RC control.

Yup, that was me. Also note that you can use the RC controller to land enemy aircraft in the same way, and your opponents will be kind enough to jump out of the vehicle so you can grab it at your leisure.

Oddly enough, in my 100% game I have the VTOL homie but the option's always dimmed out.

Just fly straight at the delivery. You don't have to land, just as long as you hit that spot. Even at full speed you will still succeed.

I got the same bug too. It may have had to do with me crashing while on a mission. I had Oleg with me at the time and from that point on his cell number was always greyed out.

Did I really just shoot out the cockpit to a cargo plane after detaching my chute, fly through the plane shooting every bad guy I could, then grab another chute, jump out the back, and catch that lady again?

...this game is cool!

This game is awesome! I'm excited for you to get to experience it for the first time.

Great use of music so far to build up certain moments. The Kanye song playing just as I was parachuting out of the helicopter into the penthouse suite was pretty cool.

Since then, I get that my missions are showing me all of the activities I can do, and that's helpful as I haven't played either of the other two yet... but that is a little slow at the same time.

It will be over faster than you want it to be, trust me.

Maybe, but I spent like 2 hours last night driving a tank around squashing cars for property damage, all the while giggling like a little kid at how much fun it was for a well-placed main gun shot to show like 20 different dollar amounts pop up.

You should probably get used to that "giggling" thing. Also, as hard as it is to believe, the game continually gets more ludicrous and over-the-top. You ain't seen nothing yet.
