2012: Unofficial GWJ Secret Santa 6.0 feat. Trichy Claus

This man can really ham it up. I've seen it.

I, for one, can't wait to see SallyNasty get his ham on!

I used old drawings of my son's for packing material. I wonder if Bonus noticed.

I did, actually. Did you want those back, or were they for me to keep?

Nah, enjoy or recycle.

I sent mine out unwrapped, but as you saw the box itself is wrapped because I live in the 70's.

And my not-so-secret Stanta came though bigtime!!

2 CDs (One a Tortoise and the Hare narrated story, the other a CD of classical music by the New Orford String Quartet), Dragon Age 2, Gloom (the card game) and a book on grilling. There is also a Photoshop software in there that is for Parallax Abstraction, but I am also putting it in my picture as being a Christmas Gift.

Thanks dude!! You rock!

That's a great grilling book.

Yah, I own that Steve Raichlen book and it is fantastic.

I show that the package was left at the front door. Now we wait.

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess I'm your Stantee. I'll open it up tonight and post photos in the early hours of tomorrow morning.

Spoiler:

I feel pretty confident in my footing on this limb, unless someone else is shipping packages out of Bentonville.

Bonus shot. Re-creating the traditional photo went a little awry. This is right after Bazino stomped on my testicles.

Dear Stantee,
I have finished your present finally, had to let it cure over night. Tonight I will wrap it and tomorrow once the post office is open again I will ship it. I promise you will get it before Christmas.

~Rains

Dear Stanta,
I appreciate the gifts, I have not opened them yet as I want to get my gifts to my Stantee sent first as it is only fair. I will open them this weekend and post pictures, thank you in advance!

~Rains

More excellent gifts! Obirano, I don't think you had anything to worry about, both of those items are awesome!

Dimmer (another man who can really get his ham on!), I always look forward to seeing your unboxing photos against the famous orange wall. That is a great pic of your dogs behind you! How happy is that? Also, your "traditional" pic turned out hilarious this year!

Feliz Vinniedad!

Now I am really concerned. I sent my gift out over a week ago and still no indication it has been received.

They are still crying and in misery.

For winning the Krissmass Kukri lottery only to be denied? Possible.

I think my wife is glad I am not a Kukri recipient. I get in trouble for having my zombie machete and bear grylls knives already. If i had an actual sword she might take it from me when I misbehave.

I have a closet full of swords, daggers, axes, various other medieval weapons. My wife's only complaint is I don't have them displayed on the wall and taking up space in the closet...

I like our kitchen wall, too. I was skeptical when we moved into our last apartment (which had a similarly-painted kitchen). Turns out having warm, earthy colors on the kitchen wall makes those winter months up here much easier to deal with - so, when we bought our house, that was one of the first changes we made.

The shot of our dogs on the wall is a canvas print, just like the ones you got from last year's Secret Santa. Turned out great. (Here's the original photo that was made from for anyone who's interested).

Thanks again to obirano for the gifts - you had nothing to worry about.

Dimmer, be sure to send your thoughts on that board game over to the Big Board Gaming Catch-All. I've been curious about whether it's good or not.

I just realized I forgot to put a return address on the package for my Santee, so umm, if a package shows up with no return address in an amazon box, that's your gift. Man I feel stupid...

A parcel arrived the other day from oilypenguin (by way of Amazon), of which I would have posted pictures, except the note inside promised more to come. Thus, I will wait.

Also, I have firmly decided that my package to my own secret santee will be mailed off by this weekend, or else I will have lost the right to partake of any more egg nog this season. I'm not going to let that happen.

I put a note in mine, with a nice little season greetings last year, which my Santee (who shall not be named) promptly threw away and didn't read.

Spoiler:

It was Paleocon.

My Stantee should have one part of their gift winging its way to them, but I still have to send the other half. So if my Santee plans on waiting to open until Christmas, that's fine. Just know there's more coming.

I wrote my holiday greeting under the address label.

Edwin! You magnificent bastard. I cannot wait for the 19th!

Kudos to demonbox for hooking me up with two Kickstarters: he pledged in my name to the Sportsfriends Kickstarter, and to another that is yet to be revealed. Very cool idea for a Secret Santa gift!

I'm not exactly innocent of this myself as Gamefly had XCOM-EU for 20$ earlier in the week and I couldn't resist. But my Santee had either bought one of the games on their wishlist or not kept their wishlist up to date hence Rezzy got a surprise gift of Dawnguard since I could see he had Skyrim but not that add-on (he wasn't my santee).
So keep your wishlist up to date and don't buy stuff on it.

Santa Eezy sent me Orcs Must Die 2 this morning via steam and a heads up that something should be at my door soon. I will post pictures when the package arrives.

I'm a bad santee
