Left 4 Dead 2 Catch All

Sure, I'm down for tonight.

I can't guarantee it, as 7pm PST is a bit early for me, but if I am online I will play. It is just too bad that I can't kill Lars.

If I remember I should be around tonight as well.

Awesome.

I should probably qualify my performance tonight: I haven't played this game in about 2 years, but I suspect it will be like riding a bicycle. I have only once, however, piloted a bicycle after having drinks. It was at an event titled "Tour De Franzia" and required teams of four to drink a box of wine while trading off riding the bike around the block. The bike chain ended up falling off the gears and my team lost. That team, coincidentally, was also called Team Awesome.

Moral of the story: I promise nothing.

EDIT:Let's try to shoot for 11pm EST so most people can make it.

You lucky bastard.

Seriously, I'm genuinely jealous.

It was so much better than I thought it would be (I thought it would be great). Genuinely a pleasure.

I wanna play this game more.

Me too. Also, I was 17 minutes late to the party tonight, sadly. Next week as well, yes?

Apparently your computer was the one that was rusty, not you.

Oh, don't worry. I started playing for about 90 seconds and my computer blue screened. Upon reboot, I was staring at a 600x800 screen resolution. With about 90 minutes of diagnostics, I'm staring at the same damn thing.

I am sorry, but to be fair, I promised nothing.

I did not know you could get charged out that window by the elevator, and I laughed my ass off when it happened to you.

I called the tank that spawned in map 3. We are on the top floor rushing for the security room to turn off the alarm and I start saying to my group "No tank, No tank, No tank". Someone in my group then responded saying that the game has voice detection and then queue music.

That sucks. You should fix that.

I knew. Unfortunately, I didn't think about it when I was trying to pick whoever it was up. But as soon as I saw the charger appear in front of me, I remembered I was a sitting duck and that I was toast.

You know, I was actually thinking about this when I wrote it.

You missed Camni crashing out of L4D2 and never coming back. Pretty much the same experience

Anyone up for a late night game? I usually can't play these days before 9:30PM PST.

Have been playing L4D2 a bit more lately. Don't mind playing some games with Goodjers
I suck playing infected btw

The trick with infected is patience and going in order. If all 4 infected attack in a 5 second window together, they can wipe the other team (or severly hurt them) but when they go in one at a time, it is easy to have everyone killed and no damage dealth. And make sure you go in order. The first to go in should be the charger and/or hunter. Then once the survivors are focused on them, the smoker and/or jockey goes in to separate a player from the group. Then the boomer and spitter go in to do damage and blind the surivors. I find that even if you miss your attack, if you go in that order, your miss can still be a good enough distraction for everyone else to succeed.

Will keep that in mind

Not all. As a proper Valve fanboy I own both games on both platforms, but whereas I've played around 3 hours on Steam, I've played thousands and thousands on 360. I really wish it kept stats.

So, are there still GWJ L4D nights? My 360 is currently out of action (technically the projector; the 360 is fine) and it would be nice to get some Infected on with decent folks. I'm on the Steam list. Is there anything I must do other than be on it and online at the right times?

This look familiar to you guys?

Looks much fancier when it's not swarming with zombies.

Holy crap! All the buildings are in the right places, too. There isn't a dock off to the right of the aerial photo, is there? Funny how the tennis courts got flooded by the apocalypse.

Its actually missing the side part of the house (to the right of the photo) but otherwise it is almost a 1:1. Pretty awsome.

Looking at it in Google's streetview (31112 Louisiana 405, Louisiana gets you the right view of the house), the fountain, hedges, and dock don't exist. There is a river on that side of the house, but it's on the other side of a highway and a large field.

I would suggest starting events yourself if/when you want to play. While people still play on weekends it is pretty intermittent these days. I suspect part of that is nobody wants to be the one to try and start a game, and then not get enough people for a full match :p

Hopefully your 360 set up will be back in working order soon. Let me know you want to play.

It's even got the dual tanks!

I would buy that house. I love a good wrap around porch.
