This is awesome. Simply fricking awesome.

Even Donte Stallworth comes back from the dead to catch a TD. If this was a baseball game you'd be hearing "Everybody gets a hit".

Apparently Stallworth attended the Dolphins-Patriots game last week as a fan.

Remember a few years ago when the Patriots blew out the Jets in the regular season and then lost to them in the playoffs?

Bring this up when Houston beats NE in the playoffs.

Not saying it will happen, just that blowouts in the regular season don't necessarily correlate to playoff success. My money in the AFC is still on Denver.

Because clearly the world wants to see Manning vs Manning in the Super Bowl... do you hate me or something?

I was really poking fun at this:

So it's pretty much understood that things do not always go as planned. Heck, I would have put money on the Chiefs running away with the division this year.

But rooting for an All-Manning Super Bowl seems like a good way to go.

Not so fast there.

Eli and his Giants may not even win the NFC East at the rate they are going. As I noted above, the Redskins have three very winnable games while the Giants have Atlanta and Baltimore yet to play (and an Eagles team they have already lost to once). And even if they do, I am not sure that they would necessarily walk all over teams like Washington or San Francisco (this time with Kaepernick) either.

I give you thats pretty much every other team's hope in the NFC.. keep the Giants out of the playoffs at all costs.. because baring Injury.. if the Giants get in the playoffs.. I have no faith any team can beat them.. home or not.

You mean the rate they are going, as in winning 2 out of 3 games? Not only that, but two blowout home wins and a 1-point road loss.

Atlanta and Baltimore do not scare me as a Giants fan. Atlanta is not as good as their record shows, and Baltimore just fired their offensive coordinator. Things will go south for the Ravens before they get better, especially against the Giants D-line. The Eagles do scare me, but not because they beat the Giants already (mind you, on a missed FG). Giants always play close games vs division foes.

This I agree with, though if RG3's knee affects his gameplay, the Redskins are in trouble. San Fran definitely scares me with Kaepernick.

This statement confuses me a little.
The Giants have been shown to be pretty vulnerable to the run (e.g. the skins game).
Cam Cameron was largely vilified for unimaginative play calling and not using Rice and Pierce(I think I have a crush on Bernard)enough. One can only presume that what Harbaugh and management have impressed upon Caldwell is to a.) be more creative (use your f*cking FB in something like I dunno a wham play?) and b.) run the damn ball more. This sounds to me like the worst course of events for a team like the Giants that excells in the pass rush.

My point was just that it's hard to transition from 1 coordinator mid-season to another. Granted, it's the other side of the ball, but look at the Eagles defense.

You're also giving Caldwell way too much credit

But you are correct, the Giants are definitely vulnerable against the run.

The Giants definitely have an explosive pass game. Maybe even the MOST explosive pass game. And if football was nothing more than a contest of who could string together the most 20+ yard pass plays, the Giants would be superbowl champions every year for the next decade. Thankfully for football watchers, that isn't the case or the nature of the game.

That isn't to say that an explosive pass game isn't a great thing. Clearly it is, and in today's NFL, it has an outsized influence on one's win/loss record over previous years. That said, there are other ways to win and neglecting the capability to deal with them reveals a vulnerability.

As long as you don't let the game get away from you early, managing Eli and the explosive pass attack is not as impossible as advertised.

I don't see why the coordinator shift should affect performance when the system will remain largely unchanged.

re: Caldwell
I don't know, he seemed to be a fine QB coach at TB and IND. I think it has yet to be determined if he was just pushed out of his depth with the head coaching job at IND, especially after the loss of Manning.

It seems like sort of what GG said: That the Giants are flawed and a seemingly low key threat except in the playoffs where they are the most resilient and dangerous team out there. Where their obvious flaws do not prove much challenge to them winning.

They are still the same 9-7 superbowl champion that beat the Packers, Niners and Patriots to get there.

I think last year was special, though, in that all of the stars aligned in the playoffs and superbowl to give them teams with particularly favorable matchups. I think, for instance, that the Superbowl would have played out very differently had they faced last year's Baltimore Ravens.

I dunno... Eli was on fire last year.. granted they probably would have lost to the Vince Young led Eagles if we met in the playoffs.. but that's just the Giants for you.. against good non-division teams in the playoffs they are money.

Man, glad to see I'm not the only one that made that pick. Boy do I feel like I have egg on my face now.

So, what is everyone's opinion of Jerry Jones basically saying "playing is Dez Bryant's choice alone"? I think it is kind of bush league to put a player in that situation with a medical issue.

I want to see a Manning Bowl with the Broncos going through the Colts to get there.

Tom Brady had a very memorable rookie season, but it was quite some time ago.

Tom Brady completed 1 of 3 passes for 6 yards in 2000.
