NFL 2012 Week 14 Thread (Pick ems' Up!)

Cameron's play calling was more conservative than the Tea Party and about as predictable. I guess they were waiting for the results of the election to boot his ass out.

Ooh. 49ers-Seahawks on Dec 23 has been chosen for the Sun night game. At least I'll get to watch the 49ers while I'm visiting family and don't have RedZone. :p

And next week's 49ers-Patriots game already was set for Sun night. Back-to-back 49ers weeks. Enjoy the Kaepernick show everyone.

This is certainly the year of the rookie sensation isn't it?

Kaepernick's not a rookie.

Oops, but even still.

Russell Wilson
Andrew Luck
Doug Martin
Alfred Morris
RGIII

Heck, even Kai Forbath and Kirk Cousins looked sharp as hell last week.

Also Trent Richardson.

LaMichael James debuted for the 49ers yesterday with 8 carries for 30 yards. Looked good in flashes, mostly spelling Gore. With Kendall Hunter out on IR that's all we needed, someone to mix it up to keep Gore fresh.

Justin Blackmon!

Hey, after last season, any Jaguar receiver that can catch the ball more often than not is a big deal.

Blackmon was just as bad at the start of the season but he started getting his ass in gear by midseason.

The Browns have something like 15 rookies on the team and a good portion of them have been performing well.

The prevailing online opinion on Shurmer seems to be that he's done okay in general during the week, but blows it during the game. With a new top dog in the organization it's tough to say whether he's saved his job or not. I hope they keep Heckert as GM and Jauron coaching defense either way.

Crap! I totally missed that there was an update to the thread with pick-ems. Looks like another 0-5 week for me, but just in case, this is what I would have picked:
Saints at Giants - Big Blue has to screw up the end of the season, it's like a tradition.
Bears at Vikings - Adrian Peterson does not make a whole team
Eagles at Buccaneers - They really can't lose all the time.
Ravens at Redskins - RGIII > Flacco
Texans at Patriots - I gotta root for the home team.

Yeah, I know I picked two wrong (so far), but I stand by my guesses.

Awesome! Cam Cameron's replacement is... Jim Caldwell.

Jim Caldwell, you just got promoted. How do you feel?

Can the Redskins catch up with the Giants?

Looking at the last three games (Cleveland, Philly, Dallas), Washington looks pretty good. The Giants have some tough ones (Atlanta, Baltimore) before finishing out with Philly (who beat them once already). And even if they end up tied, Washington will most likely end up with the better conference record.

I LOL'd.

Go Texans!

Also, JJ Watt and Von Miller eat rookies for breakfast.

Not sure what will shock me more... Patriots losing this game on MNF.. or finding one single black person in the stands..

Horrible PI call on the Texans just now to give the Patriots a big 1st down. They really don't need help tonight.

And how is that Schaub fumble not part of the tuck rule? Stupid NFL rules.

uh...Brady didnt do it?

smart move...

So, Brady can put some points on the board, eh?

And I'm SO glad that Cam Cameron is gone, but the timing is a bit odd. Oh well, now Flacco is out of excuses.

Dammit.

Belichick eats pretenders.

Jeez I take a break to watch a holiday movie and it's 21-0. Wake up Texans!

28-0, and no signs of stopping.

Nothing like a game against Tom Brady to bring a team back down to Earth hehe

Even Donte Stallworth comes back from the dead to catch a TD. If this was a baseball game you'd be hearing "Everybody gets a hit".

Man, this is sh*tty. Weird season. We beat almost everyone, but when we play two of the best (GB and NE), we get run out of the stadium.

I'm much more optimistic about the AFC Championship game but the Broncos still worry me.

How do you think the 49ers feel? We beat GB and beat the hell out of Chi, and lose/tie with St Louis.

JJ Watt doing the Peanut Punch... doh.
