Yet another movie better than the The Dark Knight Rises.

Blah blah blah, what a bore

I agree the Dark Knight Rises was a bore. Finally a kindred spirit.

Unless you were referring to me. It that case I think you meant "boar":

Even thought I liked the movie, that video was pretty great.

It was hilarious, thanks for posting farley!

Christmas sales for the trilogy are already going to be huge. Then you release the ultimate edition and BAM! more sales.

Not thrilled that the digital copy is going to be Ultraviolet. I'm considering which one I'll end up purchasing, don't have a big need for a trilogy set and the broken cowl, while kinda cool, isn't really my thing.

I hereby revoke your tag, you have lost your privilege to bear "White & Nerdy"

There's a special edition broken cowl coming out, as well as a trilogy set that looks decent enough.

Only problem is there is talk of an "Ultimate" trilogy edition coming out early 2013. Not sure why it won't be released the same time as the rest, and not knowing what comes with it, price, etc., I'm not sure it's worth waiting for or not.

I only have Batman Begins on DVD, so I'm looking for the Blu-Ray trilogy. Not sure if I should wait though... Ahh, 1st world problems...

I have the other two on blu, got them for $5 on Amazon. Might consider trilogy if there's enough extras.

I've actually got it on pre-order, but am wafering (pre-ordered once it was announced last week). Reconsidering now, but if it was almost any other item, sure, but now I would rather take that extra $10 and buy the HD version on iTunes. Kind of a shame that there isn't a Catwoman or Bane item involved - would've been a no-brainer for me.

So don't revoke the nerd card yet... :p

So this came out today, and the limited edition showed up at my door. Not sure if want to crack it open or not - if I don't, I'll need to buy another copy so I can watch it.

I'm waiting for my trilogy to be delivered. Come on! I wanna watch!

If you have even a modestly impressive sound system for your home theater and you get this on blu-ray, crank it up. It sounds frickin amazing.

Also, there's way more IMAX sections in this than there were in TDK and they all look awesome.

Oh, and I think I actually enjoyed the movie even more this time at home than I did those first two times in theaters.

Waiting on my BR boxed set. I haven't seen 3 yet and have 1 on HD-DVD (:( ). I don't think I bought 2. Anyway, looking forward to irritating the neighbors this weekend during the coming snow. My new dual Epik Empire subs rattles the dishes in their kitchens.

I need to get some speakers for my TV.... those TV speakers do not rattle any dishes

Watched it today. Maybe it's an artifact of listening in bland ol' stereo, but man, Bane's voice sounded so out of place in the mix, it was super distracting. Note I'm not talking about the voice performance itself like so many have, I'm talking about how it was mixed against other dialog - it sounded much louder in most instances, and had that whole "this was all looped in hurriedly" thing going on. Definitely put me off and made it hard to just watch the film.

It was like that in the theater.

Ugh, the digital copy is that Ultraviolet bullsh*t.

Yep

Finally saw this with the lady friend and we both really enjoyed it.

I was happy enough to look past some of the story holes. It's still pretty excellent imo.

My BicAmerica sub has rattled pictures off the wall a time or two in the past but it has never rumbled quite as amazingly as it did a couple times during this movie. I'm having a hard time imagining what your pair of Epiks is going to do.

Is there a code for a WB download as well? Or is that not for a digital copy?

None of the studios offer a legit digital download. They're all tied to some sort of DRM scheme like Ultraviolet, Amazon, or iTunes (as in they are worthless). I had a ton of Ultraviolet stuff and whatnot but ultimately gave up on it. It's not worth the time wasted creating 3 account logins or so for each different studio. Just rip the Blu-ray or DVD and be done with it if you need a non-disc copy. For me, I just use the discs.

Dude, if I was your neighbor I would hate you.

...unless you invited me over to watch and enjoy the sound system first-hand.

Saw this on Facebook. Good stuff.

Honest Trailer of Batman DKR:

I might have indulged in a bit of hyperbole. Luckily the houses around here are brick and the subs are in the basement. I might have to dial them back now that it's cooler and the house is closed up.

The answer to most of the questions raised in the video Stele posted is, of course, "Because he's f****** Batman".

I got home late so I was only able to catch the first 1 1/2 hours before calling it a night but it was also very distracting for me. Sometimes it was even hard to hear what he was saying. To me it sounded like someone was talking into a pillow with too much base added. I'm on a 5.1 system.

I didn't mean the voice was unintelligible, either - there were maybe two lines I actually had trouble understanding to the point of backing up the film and listening again. What I mean that it didn't sound as though it came from the same environment in which the other dialog was spoken. Look, I get that Hardy wearing a mask meant that Bane's voice would involve a lot of work in post-production, and I'm aware that it was re-tweaked at the studio's insistence, but whatever they did in the mixing process made it sound...well, exactly like that: divorced from the actual film and overdubbed by a man off-screen.
