S3 patch is live today.

Notes here. Way too long to copy/paste/format.

Also here's a pre-season FAQ. Bonus: It has the Mastery pages active, so you can play around with mastery builds until you get your hands on the game later.

So maybe some inhouses tonight? So people can try builds/masteries and the like? I assume we'll have alot on but don't know how people plan on testing stuff out.

Pretty sure he was talking pre 3. He might like s3 better since it might be expected of him to not gank until later..

Btw, my reference to bankplank was not the new masteries but that the gold per second tick in classic has been increased and the gold from minions decreased. This is to allow supports to stay valid without farm. Gplank might have a higher advantage building gold per ten then he did prepatch now. Assuming he still gets most of top farm, he could pull an excessive gold lead.

You think it will even be playable tonight? I have a feeling it will be down or at least up and down the entire evening

Bah! You all think you're so cool in the jungle now, knowing what your build paths are. I bet you even have ideas about what to build next and half your recommended items don't require you to build mana regen on a manaless champ. You, you, you jerks!

I'm going to my own jungle. With blackjack. And hookers.

Even though I don't play him much anymore, I think my most comfortable champion is Warwick. I played him pretty exclusively while leveling up and never really had a bad game with him.

I was hoping the new jungle would make him viable again, but saintvicious said he still sucks (and saint actually likes playing Warwick). I don't really like playing him in lane so hopefully one day they will rework him to be a jungler again.

Loving the new store.

Still not sure about the masteries.

Unfortunately my internet connection is slow enough that it's going to take me nearly 2 hours to upload an avi from the custom game we just played, but I'm working on converting it to a different format it so I can share probably the most jaw-droppingly stupid moment I've seen in LOL to date, courtesy of Twitch with Blade of the Ruined King and Runaan's Hurricane.

Edit: Fuzz will be uploading so i won't need to. Whee.

edit 2: okay, no he isn't. Here ya go, sans sound. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yJ2fy...

We, got melted...

first of all "▼Remember to kiss the poster under the mistletoe▼" NO. just NO.

second of all, why hasn't Idra from Starcraft 2 been banned yet? Seriously I think Riot is calling Blizzard out now!

Yep! 2 things though. 1) You guys were bunched up so tightly that I was able to hit all of you with my moonfall and clump you up perfectly for Diana burst + Twitch ult. 2) Twitch would have done just about the same thing without any of the new items. His ult + exponge in that kind of situation has always been ridiculous.

yeh, i know. Happened twice, once resulting in a triple or quadra kill and the last in the ace that ended it. Point is, it's even more ridiculous now with those new items... Pretty anticlimactic ending to what was a pretty good game up to that point. :/

Rammus + boots of mobility + homeguard is just about the greatest thing ever. I was in our fountain, let morde get to our inhib tower and beat him to the next tower. Im pretty sure with ghost you could lane gank from the fountain in about 3 seconds. Its like calling in artillery.

Or backdoor a base. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=72-r97XfxVQ

That wasn't even backdoor. That was through the front door, through the living room through the kitchen, right up into your business - before the other team had time to react.

I have commented lately to a few people that i'd seen some incredibly poor behavior in some of the streams i've watched, so i'm really happy to see this.

Pro's need to be examples of good behavior, not of verbally abusing their teams for not playing to their standards.

Pre S3 patch, and complex may be right...will see...

I was at the point where I never had a successfull counter invade, got ganked in my own jungle a lot, never showed up at the right place in lane and was on the other side of the map when my lane got ganked every time i felt like as a jungler.

I'm more concerned about figuring out what the new super strong champ/builds are that we're gonna be facing than learning the new jungle right now though. I'd rather focus on ADC/support and top lane irelia when those are taken.

The S3 change has really shook things up and is gonna change a lot of bans i think. I got a feeling we may be seeing some ADCs banned out. Wizardcrab felt so OP with teemo he said he's gonna ban him out every game...we'll see.

I have two videos from last night but havn't got them properly done up yet to post. Will get them up early this evening..

One of Teemo/Lulu playing don't let the minions pop the shrooms at the enemy base exit, and one of my first pentakill (done as Caitlyn).

Had some fun with Cait last night and that new aoe item. Really need to try it on teemo.

I suspect we might start seeing a lot more Diana bans too. Top lane she's manageable, but she whups on most mids post 6. Her arguably weaker early game is shored up a lot now by starting crystal flask + 4 pots (2 hp, 2 mana). So tanky!

Yea i built it on mine and it seemed good but by that point the decisive action had already occurred and i was spending most of my time avoiding dying to garen and shyvanna.

Still, it put down a whuppin when in action. More exciting than the non critting 50% side attacks is the super fast headshot generation...that's painful along with being a very high speed of attack enhancer.

PD + Hurricane and Cait's attack speed was 1.97 That's hot. If you add a nunu to that yer maxed i think. This is a viable alternative to the second PD build that had become somewhat popular.

I need to come to a good understanding of how all the AD's benefit or don't from the new items though...and apparently i actually need to learn twitch and tristana now cause i got completely surprised by a couple of my deaths last night in two different games.

Hurricane on Cait seems like fun, but I don't think the headshot benefits are enough to make it an optimal choice on her. The AD carries that will really benefit from it, in order of effectiveness, are Kog, Teemo, Twitch, Varrus, and MF. All carries with powerful on-hit abilities.

Oh....black cleaver plus garen. *SWOON* I think I finally found my blind pick top.

I just need to play with his build. Fairly certain he used to be a FoN character for me to capitalize on his super regen.

There's not much else to our little duel's outcome besides Cait's ult taking 1.2 seconds to cast and Trist's going off immediately. If you're going to duel 1v1, be sure to net out of range before you drop into ~400hp range. You can still get your ult off as long as you have vision, but you need time to channel it in safety out of their range. (See the doublelift vods I linked on the previous page.)

Trist is hard, though. Partly because explosive shot is hard to get used to, but mostly because I played lots of the modern carries (Cait/Graves/Ez) with an escape on E, while the classic carries (Trist/Corki) have their escapes on W. Mistakes were made.

Apparently, that Black Cleaver passive is not unique right now... You can stack them! 2 Black cleavers and a LW takes someone with 100 armor down to less than 20.

That's just dangerous. It's a nice feeling in fights watching the first spin hurt a little bit, the next spin hurt more, then the last spin hurt alot.

Q -> spinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn -> aa -> aa -> aa -> q -> demaciaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

How did you like naut? I never ganked before 4 with him anyway because his clear is so weak without that second w level, so I don't think the new jungle really changes him much.

Well if you had 2 Cleavers, each spin hit would apply 2 stacks at once, so you could really put on the hurt in a hurry.

I thought Naut was going to be a lot worse in the jungle with the extra monster health and damage, but the combination of minor shield buff and spirit stone passive actually makes him clear even more effectively than before, so I'm quite pleased. He has a lot of cool new items to play around with too, like iceborn gauntlet and ohmwrecker. Ohmwrecker was so much fun in the solo queue game I played...

Yeah. I was pleased with him on the PBE the two or so games I tried him. He was never a pure item tank because of his natural tankiness and his W. With health being cheaper he only benefits. My friend just brought up a good point to me though. Would his passive work with the new melee tiamat? I'm curious if he would root 3.

So powerful champs. Some may expect me to spout off about Gangplank.

But I have to say Udyr. For AD or tanking, he is a jack of all trades, master of none. I get a surprising number of kills from Tiger stance DOTs. Turtle is an OK shield, but the mana and life steal on every hit is wonderful. Bear is one of the best stuns in the game. You can stun an entire team. ANd at level 5 you get one of the biggest speed boosts. You can run down Master Yi with it.

I have won more 4X5 matches with Udyr than I can count. The only bugger is if you get silenced. Constantly changing stances is what gets you ahead. But as a champ to just dive into a fray, I would pick Udyr above all else. I have confidence that even 1x2. 2x3 I can come out on top in a fight.

Late games, Phoenix can back push lanes in an instant, Tiger can hack down towers and inhibitors in a flash. He is damn tough to catch unawares, that speed boost with Bear means you can lead roving brigands on a merry chase while your team gets some real work done.

With modest CDR-Spirit Visage is a must, and then either a brutalizer or Shurlya's your cool downs on stances are fast enough that you can hit the same stance over and over to keep up Monkey Agility.
