I've been asking myself the same question. I have my gift ready to ship and I hope it's something they will enjoy.

Don't worry about if they will enjoy it. Just get them something of objective awesomeness. If they don't appreciate it, it is their problem. Just make sure it is sufficiently awesome.

And.. my package is heading off to the Great White North today

Right now I'm more anxious that I haven't heard word of arrival.

I should be ok then, a variation of "sufficiently awesome" is quoted in the description.

If anyone is waiting for me to receive something, I won't be gone until Sunday.

I was like that both years I participated. It's normal. One year the package said delivered a day before it was and the other year the package was delivered to an address the person didn't check often. But, everything worked out great.

The items have all arrived. Now it is time to wrap and send......

If my Santa is waiting for me to respond about getting packages; did you get my address change from Trichy?

I sent it.

To the Secret Santa for Rubb Ed...

Your package to Rubb Ed has safely arrived in Phoenix where it was pleased to be basking in 77 F temperatures.

It is tucked away in hiding until Christmas morning.

Please PM me if anything needs refrigeration or special handling.

So, this happened:

The craft beer festival was a blast! Nel e nel wasn't able to make it, so my wife ably slipped into the space he vacated, and managed to have a great time too, since there were a number of cider vendors there. Between us we tried about 20 different brews, got souvenir swag, and had a really great time! I definitely want to go again next year. Thanks so much, Mudbunny!

Item 1 has been ordered, and is being delivered directly to target! Now I just need to pack and ship the rest.

Trying to find shipping options that won't end up costing more than the gift.

Ugh.

Present shipped! *crosses fingers*

WooWoo!

FleabagSanta has boarded the mangy Christmas mutt and is delivering presents and itchy skin to all the good boys and girls on his list!

Flea collars to all, and to all a good night!

Item is on its way. I will tolerate no complaints.

Goodies are on the way. I will tolerate complaints, as at least one present is a matter of personal taste whether it's enjoyable or not.

Doesn't that cover just about anything? I mean, breaking away from the delusion I've made for myself that I've somehow learned "what makes a good game/story/polliwog" I think ultimately everything comes down to "a matter of personal taste".

To an extent, yes. And when it comes to traditional festive edibles from foreign lands, very very much so. I've tried sharing it with my American friends, and to a person, they've turned their noses up at it.

Well, one of the ingredients is cow-kidney-fat, so yeah, I guess.

I came home to some Raspberry Pi at my door

Seriously hearty (and nerdy) thanks to my stalker - you may want to change your day job to this full time.

One part of my Secret Stantee's gift is scheduled for delivery (closer to Christmas itself), another part came in the mail yesterday, and the remainder shall be purchased this weekend and packaged for sending. So I haven't forgotten you!

What exactly is a Raspberry Pi and what is it used for?

Presents ordered. Will soon be shipped.

An ARM GNU/Linux box for $35.

My Santee should have their package by this Friday! Yes, it's still not Christmas, but Amazon ships pretty damn fast... and it's December! So whatever!

Merry Christmas.

I still haven't been able to ship my Santee's gift yet, I plan on doing that within the next week. Sorry for the delay.

Presents ordered, should be shipping overseas early next week. Sorry for any delay.

Stanta arrived today!
