iPad Games (and Apps) Catch All

but if you are playing Marvel's card game and you want to use this referral code gnk334476, we both get a reward.

I like the game, its pretty interesting (especially once I figured out that I can change the main card)

I'm playing this over on Android, and I think we can have cross-platform teammates/alliances. So my username is Ste1e. That's the number 1 replacing the L because people suck and stole my name. :p

If someone hasn't made a GWJ Alliance yet, maybe we should?

Having a lot of fun with this in quick 5-10 min bursts.

What is the name of the game itself?

Marvel: War of Heroes

I don't really know what I'm doing with this thing, but friend me up: Liquidmantis.

I've had it for weeks and I still don't know!?!? Cragmyre and I were playing it at the same time as Guardian Cross. In the end we just started collecting the 'pretty pictures'.

Yeah, I spent some time with it and unless I'm missing something there truly is no gameplay at all. You can shuffle your cards around and level them up but all you do is create the best set of five cards that you have? Meh.

LetterPress is awesome fun though!

Seriously, we all need to get on it. Remember, if I beat you, I'll then wait for you to hit rematch. That way, if you've had enough, that's cool, but if not, you'll get the advantage of first play at the board.

I strategically played 'tits' in the bottom right of the board to secure the corner space against TheCounselor just recently. It doesn't accept oogaba as a recognized word though, which is a shame.

I haven't checked it out until now, but Letterpress looks like something I could get into. Friend me up if you play and we're not Game Center buds.

[Edit] Holy crap, letters don't have to be adjacent? Witchcraft!

I completely had the same reaction the first time I saw it played that way!

I'll shoot you an game invite (if you haven't pinged me first), I'm pretty sure we're friended as we did a bit of Hero Academy a while back.

Actually, I might do that a bit later, 2.45am local time, I better get some sleep first. Kids will be up in a little under 4 hours.

I just noticed this about Letterpress: If you choose a letter that's the darker shade of your opponents colour, using that letter doesn't steal it from them; it just makes it a shade lighter. So it'll take you two turns to claim that letter as your own. Yikes!

Yeah, I just defaulted to Boggle mode. I already started a game with you and the two others I had in Game Center that have played.

Actually, the letters of a darker color are the ones completely surrounded by a like color. You can use the darker letters as many times as you want, but it won't change their color at all. You have to first steal the lighter colored letters adjacent to them in order to "unfreeze" the darker ones it was protecting.

LiquidMantis: You are on a serious roll. I request a rematch when this one is done.

I have appreciated fellow GWJers kicking my ass at Letterpress.

I'm so bad I said it twice.

I'm muzzynj on Game Center if people are looking for other new players to dominate.

If you guys aren't playing Writer Rumble, you're severely missing out. Fantastic take on the boggle concept, turning it into a 1v1 battle system. It's $0.99 and will appeal to anyone playing Letterpress. Friend me up if you want someone to beat up on in game!

I have it, as well. I haven't played much, but I'd like to play you guys, as well.

Incidentally, this is the first game from GameFly's mobile publishing unit that Garnett Lee of Weekend Confirmed is heading up. That'll entice some and scare away others, I'm sure.

Does letterpress or writer rumble have pass and play?

Letterpress does not. It only has multiplayer through Game Center.

Ooo! Crayon Physics Deluxe is out for iPad and free for the first 24 hours.

A pretty good puzzle game Doodle Devil HD is currently free. It is similar to an older game called Alchemy where you combined elements to create new things.

SWEET! I loved the PC version back in the day (2007?) so can't wait to try it with touch.

(There is an iPhone version, too, that has been out for awhile, but why would I want to play it on such a tiny screen?)

Is anyone else playing King's Bounty: Legions? There's a couple of mobs I'd like to take out but I don't think I have any FB friends who are playing and I'm not about to start hitting up random people on my friend list who have no interest in this game.

I just snagged it, and then realized that I bought the PC version a long time ago and never even downloaded it. (Oh, Humble Bundles.)

It looks like the sort of thing I'll play more on the iPad, though.

Yeah, I've had it on PC for a long time and only played a little bit even though it's a great zone out game. It's definitely a lot more enjoyable on the tablet

Wow, I really wish I could turn off that stupid on-screen crayon. What is necessary for PC is ludicrous with touch.

Thanks for the tip!

Any idea when the timer started? Already showing as $5.49 down here.

Battle Academy's three expansions are on sale for $5 each until Dec. 14. The base game isn't on sale, but you know, small victories.
