That's a sad way to look at it
To be fair, I want the fans to be happy and the team to stay but I'll always cheer against them. With Heisley minimizing his role and selling his shares, I'll probably be able to ignore the Grizzlies. I'll always despise Heisley and can not trust the NBA (for reasons beyond the team moving).
All a shame, I was a huge fan. Loved the game. The players. And the history. I had a hometown hero in Steve Nash to cheer for when the Mavs or Suns were in town. Broke my heart and left me extremely hesitant to do anything more than follow on the periphery.
Roy Hibbert is absolutely killing my second team. I hold Stele accountable.
Yeah the NBA botched things terribly in Vancouver. And I know that despite the team moving a decade ago the sting doesn't go away. I believe David Stern has publicly stated several times that he knows they handled Vancouver poorly and want to get back there eventually - but that will only happen after Seattle (likely acquires the Kings).
The Z-Bo Gasol Gay and Conley Grizzlies are fun to watch though. I doubt I'll be saying that next week when they beat up the Lakers, but it will be a good chance for LA to test themselves against a Western Conference contender.
I guess I don't remember or didn't really follow when that happened. To be fair, I was in elementary and high school while Vancouver had the Grizzlies. I watched on occasion and went to a few games, but when they left I barely knew what had happened.
Well, in any case, I guess since it doesn't sting me, I don't mind still watching them. Sorry for all those that are still feeling it though.
Dang, those Lakers aren't cutting it. Guess I should find a new coach....
I'd be thankful if anyone could find this dunk but with English speaking commentary:
No teams are more fun to watch lose than the Raptors and Wizards. They come sooo close!
Also, the Spurs have an Australian color commentary guy? Who knew!

They looked so lethargic against the Grizzlies the other day. I could not watch much passed the 1st quarter.

The Wizards aren't as much fun to watch as they were when they had Javale McGee and Andray Blatche
So bowling may cause Bynum to miss the rest of the season. I guess it's time to drop him.
Set your rosters tonight for the week! Good luck!
I should probably replace at least one of the injured players on the team with three injured players but it just makes setting my roster so easy.
I'm watching Spurs @ Heat, because I have to, because it's one of two games Charles Barkley is providing color on this season.
The Spurs are without Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili, Tony Parker, and Danny Green.
They're up 42-38.
HOW?!
Holy sh*t, what?!
NBA commissioner David Stern promised repercussions for the move, saying the Spurs will face "substantial sanctions" for their approach to the game."I apologize to all NBA fans," Stern said in a statement. "This was an unacceptable decision by the San Antonio Spurs and substantial sanctions will be forthcoming."
O.o Incredible.

I don't understand how that's punishable.

Didn't Popovich do this last season a few times due to the lockout-induced schedule crunch? I'm not sure what Stern is so worked up about -- other than the fact that Pop did it for a nationally televised game with the defending champions.
Perhaps if the league wants to highlight these showcase games on national TV they should think twice before scheduling it as the second game of a back-to-back for one of the teams. Same thing is happening next week with the Knicks playing the second game of a back-to-back against the Heat on national TV. Conspiracy?
David Stern can't leave soon enough.
David Stern makes Bud Selig look like an angel.
Duncan, Ginobili and Parker are a combined 101 years old. This would have been their fourth road game in five days. And, they have a more important game on Saturday. I think extra rest was more than justified.
He better sanction the Timberwolves too because most of their starters haven't been playing the whole year either.
Hell they almost won too. Spurs were up 98-97 with 30 sec left. A clutch Miami shot, and then a steal that might have been a foul, and 2 more FTs saved Miami.
The fact that they were in the game makes it look even sillier. Eventually those players will retire. This is great practice for the young guys. Also if the NBA wants to cut down to 65 or 70 games I'd be fine with that. You'd probably have less of players sitting out. The season is so interminably long, I don't know how Stern can justify this made-up punishment.
Stern is a horrible commissioner. Has there ever been a time where the 4 commissioners combined were THIS bad? Gary Bettman is probably the best commissioner out of the 4, and the NHL is in a lock out. I think this move drops Stern to the bottom of the 4. Goodell is horrible, but still pushes out a good product, so maybe he's the best, and that isn't saying much.

Goodell is definitely the best. He's actually been active in protecting the league rather than being reactionary. Bettman would be fine if he wasn't on his 3rd lockout. If you can't keep your damn company running you shouldn't be in charge. Selig is terrible but doesn't appear as openly corrupt as Stern.
