Steam Winter Sale 2012 - Seriously Guys, It Was Over Two Months Ago! Move Along!

Total damage for the sale:

Gifts:
Mark of the Ninja ($7.49) x3

Selfish:
The Binding of Isaac + Soundtrack + DLC ($2.23)

$24.70. Lucky for me I don't have more Steam friends, otherwise that MotN sale would've gotten pricey. And Binding of Isaac, I just happened to read the post mortem in Game Developer today, so that was a total impulse buy. I don't even know if I'll like it. :P

As one of the recipients, I thank you! I almost bought it on XBLA, then almost grabbed it, but missed the sales window. Well played!

I'll get you next sale Gravey, next sale!... /drclaw

Ended up grabbing Orcs Must Die 2 and Torchlight 2... pile grows but I think I'm done with Dishonored, Max Payne 3, and the 2 I just bought.

Or did I?

Thanks for the gift of Zeno Clash, monkeyboy. Truly a ninja gifter :-D. If I was not so busy finishing up my own crazy narrative for NaNoWriMo I would jump into it right now. as it is I will sample its delicious wares another time soon. I look forward to the winter sale when I am not crazy behind on word count!!

Ugh... Both (Goddamn) Batman games are on sale... never played either but I've spent too much already!!!

Just wait/save up for the Christmas Sale?

We are beset by thieves and assassins: cowards who move under cover of night.

Homes engulfed in smoke and flame, storehouses pillaged, caravans massacred in neighbouring regions.

They bear the crest of the Wolf, not the sigil of The Beast. Mere scouts, but the damage is staggering.

Sin Episodes
AoE 3: Complete
DotP 2013
Torchlight 2

By my estimation, we've lost over $27. It is more than my wallet can bear.

Our positions and structures are compromised. Patrols must be doubled, supply routes changed, towers rebuilt.

He comes.

I'm in, unless it must be played with a gamepad. Keyboard and mouse much preferred.

As far as I know, both are possible. Regardless, I just purchased a 4-pack, so ready to pass on to blondish83, Archangel and yourself as soon as I get back to my steam client (not available at work).

EDIT: friend requests sent so that I can pass 'em on.

Well, I never... You better peddle this "reason" of yours someplace else!

Lets see if I can do this correctly...

You know Steve in the post on the front page? Well, I feel kinda (totally?) like him. I'd been doing so well, I'd been really good about resisting during the last summer sale, I'd gotten only Batman: Arkham City (which I haven't even played yet) and AC: Revelations (finally finished it a month ago).
And now, I've just relapsed, broke down and got the Hearthfire DLC for Skyrim, Orcs Must Die 2, Quantum Conundrum, Civ 5: Gods and Kings, Tropico 4, Mark of the Ninja, Saints Row: the Third, and The Walking Dead. And was gifted Bunch of Heroes. So the damage is pretty bad here.
It's ridiculous, where am I going to find the time to play all this stuff?

Someone tell me which one of those is the "shortest", so that I finish at least one of them in the near future... ^_^

I've been picking up a few good deals during the sale for gifting. I gave a couple out already, but these weren't on anyone's list.

SPAZ
Flight Control HD
Misadventures of PB Winterbottom
Zeno Clash

If you are interested, PM me with which one you want. First non-grinder gets it.

Many thanks to Garden Ninja for the gift of SPAZ. I've heard only great things about it and I'm really looking forward to firing it up!

I intended to buy nothing, but of course that can't happen. The pile gets gross, but here is my damage.

Batman Arkham City GOTY $7.50 - Loved the first one, been waiting for this to hit a decent price.
Orks Must Die 2 Complete - $9.99 - 2 pack, gifted one to a buddy.
Pendulo Adventure Pack - $14.99 - Heard great things about this dev, and when I heard impressions on the Giant Bombcast about Yesterday, I had to grab it.

Mass Effect 3 - $12 at GMG

Psychonauts, Mark of the Ninja

That's all!

Thanks for Sins of a Solar Empire, m0nk3yboy! As the only one to have actually thanked me, you're on the Nice list.

I'm }{ close to talking my gaming group into switching to Torchlight II. Then I'd have to get it, right? I wouldn't have a choice? Right? RIGHT?

You would have to get it. No other option.

I almost got through unscathed. Just some Crusader Kings II DLC for a whopping total of $3.93.

I loved Witcher 2 and you'd have to be crazy to pass on the $7.49 price tag. Just sayin'. Purchase it, all last minute-like.

Even though I already own it on the PS3, I got Just Cause 2 so I could try some mods out. Also got Nation Red because it looks like Crimsonland.

It would be uncouth and uncivilized for me not to my good man!

And in the same vein, I would like to thank Falchion for the very kind gift of To The Moon. I was very hesitant to add that to my wishlist, as I think it may be a very 'difficult' game for me to work through on a personal level. Just from reading the game synopsis, and the few comments made in this thread about it, I know it's going to press some deep buttons for me.

I look forward to that experience though, thanks again!

I got out of this cheap(partly because Amazon had better deals on two higher-end games). The only thing I came out with was Garry's mod, though I also purchased Tower Wars and SimCity 4 for the missus.

Total Damage: $38.45 in gifts, $0.00 for myself.

And just before the closing bell, omnipherous buys a round for Castle Crashers for several of us! Thanks -- you're awesome!

No worries. Just in before the door slammed shut! Now, that's on the understanding that at least some folks around here will link up for slashing fun, I presume CC isn't much fun by oneself!

Yeah, that was way way way beyond the call of duty, sir. Very much appreciated!

Made it out buying just KOTOR 2 then received two awesome gifts of Dungeon Defenders and Sins Rebellion.

Dodged a bullet by not adding more to the pile, the challenge begins anew in a few weeks, safe for now though

Bah, you people and your self-control. Seasonal sales are the only time I buy games any more so I stocked up.

Same. And I actually missed CKII's Legacy of Rome and KOTOR II. I guess those are deals I can look forward to...

Many thanks to Garden Ninja for gifting me PB Winterbottom!

Looks like the final days sales still go until tomorrow at 1pm. You're not safe yet!
