NFL 2012 Week 12 Thread (Updated with Pick 'Ems)

Seattle Seahawks starting cornerbacks Richard Sherman and Brandon Browner are facing four-game suspensions for violating the NFL's performance-enhancing drug policy, according to league sources.

Both Sherman and Browner tested positive for Adderall and are appealing their suspensions, insisting they are innocent, according to sources. The appeal could be heard as early as this week.

Adderall suspensions in the secondary? Did I miss where Sherman and Browner had been traded to Tampa?

The only reason I'll watch tonight's game is that there's nothing else on to have on in the background while I play TF2.

Stunning fact I heard on the radio today: The Phillies have won a regular season game more recently than the Eagles.

They need to make MNF like the same rules as SNF gets post-Thanksgiving. Let the network choose their game and move someone from Sun to Mon so we have something worth watching, and with playoff implications still.

Tonight's Eagles game reminds me a great deal of an Eagle Monday night game in Ray Rhodes last year as head coach...the team sucked and everyone knew that Rhodes was gone after the year...it was an ugly crowd that night and sure enough it went down in Eagles fandom history as the "Flare Gun Game". Security is way better than back them but I'm curious If the Eagles faithful will come up with something memorable again tonight...

I'm staying home I passed on tickets tonight

Just caught a long shot of the stadium. Looks like you weren't the only one to take a pass on this game tonight.

Well it's not like they can blackout the game for attendance on MNF.

I'll actually defend the Eagles, sort of:

Arizona and Kansas City are in the same boat, having not won a game since their respective baseball team has. Arizona was (4-0) to start the year and are in this boat. Of those 3 teams, I can see the Eagles winning first and dropping that horrible stat. Very well could be tonight.

I'm beating Shag in our work fantasy league by 30 points, and he has Alex Henery. I fully expect 9-10 FGs to beat me.

And the folks who are there? Too apathetic to boo.

If I didn't know better, I'd say the game was in Charlotte.

Update: Now they're booing, sorta. And I think Brandon LaFell is still running.

Bad call on that hit. Chucky's right, Foles is going to get someone killed tonight with passes like that.

*EDIT*
Couple of nice runs by Brown. 53 yards on 5 carries. One would think the Eagles would run more.................................... #beatingadeadhorse

Is that bulletproof glass in front of Jeffrey Lurie?

Man, I hate being right. Nice run by Brown.

*EDIT*
Why go for two? Is Andy Reid trying to get fired before season's end

*EDIT*
Did Carolina hire Andy Reid to call plays for the 2nd quarter? What a 180 from the 1st quarter.

My favorite part of this game is everybody pretending that there isn't a decent chance Gruden is coaching the Eagles next year.

How is that interference with the kick returner? Horsecrap.

#sarcasm

Standard Carolina game. Come out, look pretty good, relax, get steamrolled. Ugh.

Wait, what's this? Clock management by Carolina? NO WAI.

For what it's worth, Carolina is kind of the anti-Atlanta; the Falcons are barely good enough to win, the Panthers are just bad enough to barely lose. They're the kind of team that bounces back next year, as it's not like they're getting killed every game. I mean, it's not like they've eaten up all their salary cap flexibility by dumping all sorts of dollars into what has been proven to be a by and large mostly replaceable position, and . . . you know, never mind.

Those contracts are so strange. Still. Even more so now.

Hell of a catch by Murphy, hell of a throw by Newton.

*EDIT*
And that's why most teams don't run a triple option in the NFL

I'm with you here ...

... and then you go off the rails. You'd be foolish in today's NFL not to spend $100M a season on your backfield.

Meh. We'll have a top 10 draft pick in April. Maybe we'll get a GM who can draft us a decent runner.

Chris Palmer fired as Titans offensive coordinator! Hopefully Jerry Grey isn't far behind him.

My thoughts on tonight's game:

"WE'RE GONNA LOSE THIS GAME!"

"SCREW YOU! WE'RE GONNA LOSE THIS GAME!"

Carolina just got a stop. Which means the Panthers have decided (a) they want to win it, or (b) they'll make Philly win it in with a minute left.

Update: Those three straight offsides penalties by the Eagles aren't exactly helping their cause.

Looks like (b). Newton scores a TD, but Carolina's new kicker shanks an extra freakin' point. One-score game.

This game ends up being entertaining for being so terrible.

The game wasn't so bad. Some entertaining moments.

Speaking of bad ... the Eagles. Wow.

Disappointing to be 0-5 by default this week due to the holiday. At least it was an interesting week in the NFL. I totally would have picked all the teams that won.

I've had two funerals get in my way this season. I win?

Man Arms and Hands... ewwww

Jason Babin wanted to play for a winner, so now he's with . . . the Jacksonville Jaguars!
