There are some other spacey games on deep discount. Star Ruler, Space Empires, ect. Veloxi, you could get a ton of hits during the holiday season if you did a Steam sale space sim buyer's guide.

I am planning one.

Woo!

I wrote one last year too, which seemed to go over well. Can't have repeats though, so this one will likely be shorter.

Hey folks, I put lists together of all the space game deals on Steam and everywhere else. I hope y'all find 'em helpful.

Woo!

How do I own so many of these already?

Have you gone to the purchase button only to be told by Steam you already own it? And then feel a little bit sad?

Sigh.

Yes...

Yes...

We've all been there.

Sigh, more than once, yes...

...sob...

Saw the link for Zigfrak in the blog and checked out the demo. Parts of it were pretty good, others... down right confusing resulting in multiple deaths before I noticed a new icon, and there was was one 'boss battle' where I died forty times and had all of my ammo and weapons used up or destroyed (pretty freaking uncool.)

Is it worth registering or am I going to get more of that BS? [Seriously, if I knew my whole stock of surplus was going to be wiped out and I was going to get hit with dozens and dozens of death penalties I would have banked what I could first.]

I'm working on the review now, and I'm honestly having a great time with it. The interface is a bit obtuse, but it didn't take me too long to get the hang of it. I also suggested it in my 2012 holiday buying guide.

I've decided for certain I don't like AI War.

Why's that?

Because he is Quentin Stone.

He's not, though. That's some other guy.

I still love you. It'll be hard, knowing the truth, but I can do it.

I think what it comes down to is this silly reason: I keep wanting to play it like the game I want it to be but not the game it is.

The only one I am interested in that I don't have already is Sword of the Stars 2. Now that it has been patched every way inhumanly possible, is it finally a good game worth playing?

For me, it came alive in a long, hard, and very strategic multiplayer campaign. Working with friends for a few weeks, planning and executing strategies, and gradually taking over the galaxy was amazingly deep and fun. I can see that not being quite so evident in single-player.

Play through until you hit the 'boss' if you can, that's the acid test for me.

Nice interview Hope this guy can pull it of! Think he will.

I think it's quite possible as well, and thanks!

Never heard of this but here is an alpha of solar war that you can play in your browser.

Excellent interview. I do hope some modification possible (even if the engine code is required). I actually want to license that engine for I have some ideas for a series of space games
(and once again, I have many unfinished design docs to prove this).

I'd actually love to hear the reason, Arcen games has this nasty habit of coming up with game ideas pulled from my own brain
(and I have unfinished design docs to prove it!).

Found two topics on Reddit. People seemed to have noticed him there on Kickstarter as well.
I`ve pasted the link to your interview. Hope it won`t crash anything

Yaaaaaaaay! Thanks man!
