NFL 2012 Week 11 Thread

Same here, for this week at least. Nice to have a shot at 5-0 after 4 games. Also funny that 2 of those were OT and the other 2 were less than a TD score difference. Good games this week for picks.

Totally agree with your Schaub take, Legion.

Were Texas NFL fans sufficiently pleased with Troy Aikman and Warren Moon? Or is it just an impossible standard?

Also, Reliant Stadium is beautiful. My one and only complaint was discovering upon arrival that the idea of paying money to park a car at the stadium is apparently crazy talk in Houston. Still not sure what the whole situation is there, but we of course left Austin plenty early and so we had plenty of time to find one of the cash lots surrounding the stadium and park & walk from there.

For what it's worth, it's the same way at the Metrodome. The dome is in the midst of downtown, where it's just not economically feasible to have a specific dome-only parking lot just due to the value of the real estate. It being a downtown area, though, there are hundreds of private lots around, and that's where you park. Works great.

In Green Bay, you just park in the yards of the people who live across the street from the stadium.

Tell me this isn't one of the best passes you ever done seen. Defender charging in your face, ball threaded between three defenders. Looks like Mike Williams was also open for the TD on the post route at the bottom.

Yes, it is one of the dumbest passes I've ever seen.

I don't know how #23 does not at least tip that ball away if not intercept it.

How about that Carolina D!

Got it. You made your point 4 pages ago.

Feh, I say. 20 seconds left, 24 yards away, zero timeouts. About as good of a pass as could have been thrown. FEH, I say.

Legion - There's a decent amount of parking, but I think it's all for season ticket holders. If they tear down the Astrodome, that would add a decent amount, too.

Can't speak to Aikman, but I assume Dallas loves him. Moon, definitely a great QB, although domestic battery does nothing for one's image.

Hey everybody, look how folksy these Packers fans are!

That's the amazing thing though. It really is that folksy. The stadium is in the middle of a real neighborhood. Some people pay their mortgages from what they charge to park on their lawns.

Man, the new Old Spice commercial sucks.

It's a real neighborhood! People have mortgages and stuffs.

Really hope Kapernick shows out tonight. I've been a 49ers fan since I was a kid and I like to see them do well. I also think Jason Campbell got the shaft last year after going 4-2 and getting hurt. I'm curious to see how he will look tonight.

No concussions, no concussions.

You get out of my childhood. You can be a Rams fan. I'll find you a nice Jim Everett jersey.

Better than Dallas (or whatever city Jerryworld is legally in). That place is in the inner-city ghetto.

I got some 49ers shirts you can borrow to cover up those Titans ones you've been wearing lately.

Hey. Kid has an arm.

Kaepernick 2012!

Reading some things online today (not here), it seems people forgot Kaepernick was drafted to become the 49ers starter. Alex Smith was a for-now guy that just started playing a lot better than expected, and Kaepernick was way not ready in year 1.

All I know is I have him in the Dynasty league.

Shaddup.

Yeah I'd like to think people here knew that Legion. Surely Rat Boy educated everyone last year.

I know I miss him too.

Anyway, it sounds like Jaws has a huge man-crush on Colin.

Hah. I knew Kaepernick didn't overthrow that ball. Walker was held.
