Good times, good times. My connection died but at least I played a few maps :)

We've missed you Mex!

Fun couple of rounds - here are the texture-corruption screens I promised.

This one was animated, the clock at the bottom of the textures was keeping time

Bloody spy textures on all fences was a bit distracting

Don't blame me, I voted for 6BUIL

Never change your video card, Dimmer. Your computer is a modern-era legend.

That teleporter picture is awesome.
Perhaps his video card has become sentient. It is calling for help.

Fun times last night except for no one telling me my mic was muted until the last map

I dunno, the bloody spy wall + whatever texture is on the pyro is amazing.

Had some fun last night as well. Had a roll on dustbowl that was odd. I thought we were going to get rolled but it was quite the opposite. Evilseed was messing people up all night and on that map, in particular.

This is even better than an old glitch I had - When Left 4 Dead came out I tried playing it with the barest minimum PC requirements (an AMD64 single core with an NVidia GeForce 6200, or something of that era). L4D turned into a vector graphics game, no joke.

It is pretty odd. The texture-corruption only happens with Source-engine games, and I've been able to run more graphically demanding games (like Skyrim) at high settings without incident, so I don't think it's an overheating or under-spec issue.

In any event, happy to share the entertainment.

Maybe it's like a traveler from the future who got stuck inside his video card and he's sending encrypted messages : O

30 minutes playing, 4 crashes.

Twas a good night for manshoots.

Yeah, big thanks to everyone who happened to follow me into a random pub. We had an excellent showing!

Following up on a comment made towards the end of Badwater: there actually does not appear to be a Gaming with Jesus site, surprisingly. (Yet.)

I realize that points are deducted for being on a pub server, but this may be the best round I've ever played as Pyro. Poor Sparhawk started on my team but was auto switched. He was just about the only one who seemed to be able to kill me. Nobody seemed to want to turn around when things heated up for them. Backburner like this muchly. Down side is that I've just about forgotten how to use my axtinguisher.

I really dislike the balancing thing. It's needed, but still When my ping got too high, it was better to leave.
But yeah, nice round there Fleabag

Had fun playing for a little while after not touching the game for 2 weeks. Goldrush was a little roll-tastic but I guess it happens.

I do have an idea...On maps where the teams are obviously stacked one way or another why don't we use the teamswitch plugin to manually move some of the really good players around? You can pick the teamswitch on the sm admin menu and can swap yourself with any suck pub on the other team. It's obvious who the really good players are and when they all get bunched up on a team I don't think it's fun for either team. It would also keep us from maybe getting so pissed at pubs who aren't good. I have no problem kicking 3rd sniper or spy but sometimes I think we are a little harsh on people who just aren't good at the game. I mean we were all there at one point and it's a free to play game so it has to be expected. I think if we do a better job of balancing ourselves out then sucky pub players wouldn't be a such a problem. I think sometimes we get too competitive (me included)...hell at the end of the day it's a game and we are just playing for fun. No one is getting a trophy or cash prize at the end of the night for winning.

Don't take any of this as gospel just my opinion..

Sorry I bailed early! Girlfriend and dinner and things. She wasn't happy I went from playing Halo 4 campaign for hours to TF2.

On a related note, GF-Prime is working late tonight, so extra TF2 Manne time for me. Let's do this, gentlemen.

I always forget about teamswitch, thanks for bringing it up again.

I think when we have a lot of Goodjers on the server, no matter what the make up of the teams is like, the first team on offense on A/D or PL maps usually seems to roll, at least up to the last point. I think it is just takes longer for the team on defense to gel. Defense has more decisions to make to be effective. Offense is more straightforward, throw some heavy/medics on the cart and just go with it. A few good players on BLU are going to have an easier time of it than a few good players on RED, especially before the teams have had a chance to get their acts together.

Personally I try to switch when my team is really stacked and I'm not the engi or medic, but I'd be very annoyed if I got teamswitched without being asked...

If the roll is really bad, there's also a scramble option so maybe that's another thing we could try...

Well, I think the idea is that you swap yourself for a pubbie to even the teams a bit.

I was talking about the really good players switching themselves...

So since the 11/16 update, I get constant crashing. Sometimes the whole machine goes kaput. Appear to be connected to the item server somehow looking at the Steam forums. As in, play disconnected from the item server and no problems. Is there a way to disconnect yourself from the item servers in multiplay? I'm thinking not.

Might need to reinstall TF2 wholesale. I had to do that recently to fix a problem where TF2 tried to verify its files ever ytime I started up the game. Nothing else I tried came close to fixing it.

I really shouldn't play this after a 12 hour workday against a serverful of Goodjers.

But, hurray! A serverful of Goodjers! Even if the server was a bit laggy with 15 v 15.

Backwards Badwater makes MyBrainHz.
