NCAA Football 2012 Season Catch-All

OKay, stupid argument with the wife.

Are Oregon's uniforms green or black tonight?

And my wife is now chanting bullsh*t on that TD call.

Look pretty black.

Possibly some kind of super dark forest green thing. But my eyes say black.

I have to agree. I thought it was a catch live. But on the replay, he bobbles it again after his shoulder is down, and then doesn't re-catch it until his helmet is out of bounds.

Stanford just got murdered by a phantom PI call.

Edit: they overcame it. Great D!

Oh 50-49, thank you for Landry to Stiles.
A shame it was K-State/Baylor at the same time as OU/WVU.
Two dynamite games.

It wasn't as bad as the call that gave them a TD.

But Oregon should have run the ball on third down with a draw play and forced Stanford to use their last TO.

Are you serious? Missed FG? Fumble? Wow.

damn 1 and 2 gonna go down tonight, crazy day for college football.

The SEC's plan of late-season cupcakes seems to be paying off. Let the top ranked teams play tough games and lose.

Next year everyone will be begging to schedule Samford, W. Carolina, Jackson St, Ga So., Alabama A&M and Sam Houston St with 2 weeks left in the season.

Holy crap. My heart is with Stanford but this will screw the Pac-12.

Edit: Wow. College football is the best.

Best night of football for the SEC ever?

Pretty nice not to have it on TV, too!

So who who are you rooting for next week, Bama or Auburn?

Presumably Auburn, since that would put A&M in first place in the SEC West. Not gonna happen of course, Auburn is unbelievably terrible this year.

ND's #1, and San Fran's a super bowl contender. Did we time-warp to 1993 and noone told me?

I'm calling for submissions regarding how A&M can backdoor their way into the national championship game. I mean, upsets are a dime a dozen right now!

One excellent storyline: I gave Baylor. I chance to win. I assumed the longhorns would have to beat K State. I can't possibly pull for the longhorns. Now I don't have to!

Btw, that second Stanford TD was good all the way. And they ruled him out initially - the rules heavily favor the initial call. My eyes and their review saw incontrovertible evidence that it was good. Great for Stanford! Their D deserved to win that game. Their offense's fumblitis, including on the penultimate play of the game, was nauseating.

This will go down as an historically great night of college football. Just amazing.

MBH: After tonight, LSU owns the head to head tiebreaker against us, so a Bama loss would presumably make them the West champs. The only reason we were in 2nd is that we'd played one more conference game.

Grump and badferret, please check in with this thread so we know you survived the evening's celebrations.

What? Everyone else losing so Bama gets to the BCS? This feels like... 2011.

This Cal-OSU game is unwatchable. Count me on the bandwagon for Fire Tedford.

Regardless of the result, the way the Pac-12 has done its scheduling this year is pathetic. Because for some unbelievable reason ucla is playing stanfurd next week instead of the traditional rivalry games, they have completely set up a situation for ucla to throw the game to stanfurd. ucla is already guaranteed to play in the pac-12 championship game, likely for the rose bowl. furd and oregon are tied atop the pac-12 north standings with Oregon now holding the tiebreaker. furd wins next week, its a rematch with ucla in stanfurd where I wouldn't be surprised if more ucla people show up.. a furd loss and Oregon win means UCLA travels to Eugene to play... no thank you.

Fucla should start their 3rd string QB and sit franklin... if they could, they should forfeit the game and rest their guys for a week for the pac-12 championship.

As much as Bama winning yet another MNC would be kinda tired, I do enjoy the idea of being the only team to beat them this year.

On the other hand, Georgia winning would add another team to the SEC's winning streak, and further emphasize the depth of this conference.

On a third hand, firesloth's team is going to have something to say about all this, unless they do the unthinkable and lose to USC. Even after tonight, that's an upset I can't even imagine happening.

Two SEC teams in the title game again. I called it. It's happening.

So you're predicting that USC beats ND? I only ask because that's the only way it's even remotely conceivable.

I can't believe I have to cheer for ND to keep this travesty from happening.

Dawg's last national title came while beating ND in the Sugar Bowl. Just Sayin.

Of course, the Tech fugly triple option is a little scary, but the game is in Athens and we just got a warm up against that offense with Georgia Southern.

Then the fighting Sabans meet us in the ATL.

I know Bama will be favored over us, but it sure seems like we are playing better ball than them lately.

Regardless of who wins, I like the SEC's chances against the Irish.

Come sit next to me on the bench. We can cheer together.

Yes. I think they will.

If this happens after the year we had, BCS goes away, and the playoff starts next year.

I've thought about it, and as fun as a 16 team playoff sounds, we just can not go there. It would make days like yesterday almost meaningless, except for the middle of the pack crowd. I want to see the games at the top have meaning instead. Everyone fighting for the top four spots (until the selection committee messes it up the first time).

Goodbye Derek Dooley.
