BTW I'm into season four of my Levante career and somewhere in middle of season three things started working out, so I might post something about the game soon. For the first time I'm caring mostly about bringing in money than football success, so I'm playing a selling club, just because doing things on tight budget is more fun.
FIFA is usually supported pretty well. On which console are you seeing this?
Neither console, PC. When I get a second, I'll search around and see if there is any way to bug report, or if it has been reported already. The issues I've found so far are fairly minor, but immersiosn-breaking nonetheless. Perhaps a football game isn't as 'immersive' as RPGs and the like, but still.
My player got bought by Valencia CF halfway through my Houston Dynamo season and I'm currently #4 out of the 5 strikers that they have. Hoping to work my way up and steal the #1 spot.
Anyone cracked and got FM13 yet ? I'm interested to know what the classic mode is like - Eurogamer would have me believe it's like CM of about 2000/01.

No. FIFA Manager 12 was my first of them to ever try and buy and I really enjoyed it, played it for hours and hours. I'm not sure I'm gonna buy FM13 because I still enjoy playing FM12 so much. The new features I've seen really haven't been enough for me to fork up another $40. I wish they had like a discounted upgrade price. lol.
Last few editions I've skipped a year so that the feature set is actually different enough to make it worth while.
I preordered fm13 a while back, so the beta unlocked just over a week ago. So far I've put about 14 hours in and haven't really had any issues, just good old fm fun. I didn't try the classic mode, or the challenges yet, im not sure they're really my thing - I prefer starting unemployed, Sunday league experience and seeing where the game takes me..
The interface is considerably different than fm11, and from what I can gather, 12 too.
Edit - double post, stupid iPad.
So that's what they meant by "unparalleled range of facial expressions".
Wow that is atrocious referring. Blows the whistle for a Schalke defensive injury, clearly an ankle and not head injury, when we have a clear line to the goal in the box and then gives Podolski a yellow for kicking the ball away in anger at the terrible call.
Oops, wrong thread. Sigh.
But since you've mentioned it - yes, it was a funny decision.
Some of the AI still needs work (I spent the better part of a game with PSG screaming at Zlatan to make a run like he wasn't an idiot)
With true AI, Zlatan screams at you.
Damn, I should really try to post my FM update. I'm occasionally getting back to my Levante save and putting few more months into it - this game has been all about building a young team from scratch (Wengeresque vanity project, I know) and I need to put three-four more seasons into it to see the benefits. And in meantime I learned a lot about long-time player development.
All in all it's been super-rewarding, as until I got into CL I didn't spend more than €4M on a player and only signed lesser-known talents, which means that I can now top the league with 20% of wage budget of Real or Barcelona.
Careful UCRC, Dave Whelan is rumoured to actively monitor this thread. You could end up at the DW, which is a fate worse than death.
Unless you like pies A LOT.

Any advice for youth development in FM?
Are we talking FM as in Football Manager, or FM as in Fifa Manager?
We're talking Spreadsheet Nirvana, or Football Manager.
It's finally happened...
Haha. Never heard of this case that they link to either, but the chairman's response is classy.
Hmm. Have you seen Mignolet and Al-Habsi yesterday?
In my FM game Barcelona employed Rafa Benitez. He took them from title winners to barely in Europa League.
Depending how far you are into your game, if age eliminates Xavi, Iniesta, Villa and Puyol that might not be a million miles off if Messi is out for any length of time.
You're right, I was going to write that. In my game Barca was very successful under Guardiola (2 seasons) and Wenger (also two) but a number of their old first eleven players faded away or retired during that period - the four you've mentioned and Dani Alves.
Under Benitez that left them with Messi, Cesc, Bojan and Sanchez and in my game only Messi was playing well consistently. They finished 5th in their first season under the man.
Pred, I think you used 4-2-3-1 with two DMs for some time, right? Well, they were doing that, and looked really poor.
FM13 cave-in beginning...downloading the demo
Ditto, except Game sent me an email including an offer on it for £20, which after my cashed in loyalty points equated to £3.61.
I decided not to buy this year, to have more time for other things.
Like playing more FM12.
