Same playstyle for the same reasons. Feel free to say hi in the Guild chat if you see me on though and I'll keep an eye out as well.

I definitely will if my son lets me play for more than 5 minutes straight!

I'm glad to get someone else in an EU time zone in the guild. :)

Sad to say there might well be another one in a couple of days :)

Awesome! Looks like there'll be a couple of us "early bird" (at least compared to the US time zones).

Dejavue, we need you to add the 4 digit code at the end of your GW account name before we can send you an invite, I'd have sent you a PM, but a search for dejavue just returns a lot of people talking about deja vu, and no user accounts. Either send me a pm, post here, or resubmit your info to the spreadsheet, and we'll get an invite out to you.

If you're on early enough in the day, you'll see me since I'm GMT -10 Welcome aboard!

Unfortunately, I just started a new position at work which has me working longer hours. On top of my master's program, I don't have a ton of time to play. At least I did the Pumpkin King dungeon this weekend and got an exotic staff I can use!

I'm on GMT+4, which does put me very much ahead of you! XD We might still be able to catch each other if I log on early in the day and you late at night.
I need to log more time, though... I haven't even left the starting area!

I only just realised you need to actively represent a guild to get a lot of the benefits from it. So uh, yeah, just threw up the GWJ tags finally. I'm such a noob.

I love this game, but sometimes I wish it were a little clearer. There are so many overlapping systems in place, it can be quite overwhelming.

Yeah, it's a game that needs a nice paper manual.

On the log-in screen there's a link to their video manuals, but I haven't looked at any of them, so I don't know how in-depth or helpful they are.
Edit - of course, that wouldn't help people who have to live with usage caps.
The GW2 wiki is a pretty good source, but it's still missing articles on some things.

Yeah the Wiki is pretty good, if not as comprehensive as something like the WoWWiki; that's where I noticed the guild representation thing. The problem is, unless you stumble across something (like I did), if you don't realise you're doing something wrong, you're not going to go looking for a fix. Perhaps making you automatically represent your first guild would be a good move. And then explaining the system in place with a tutorial window once you join a new guild.

Having said that, I like the system, there were a lot of times I wished I could join multiple guilds in WoW.

The thing with a wiki is that it's only as good as the contributions people make to it, and in the case of GW2wiki, it's early days. The game really needs a good definitive source of information though.

IIRC, when I accepted the invite to the guild, there was a pop-up that either asked if I wanted to represent it, or told me where to go to represent it. I'm not sure if you get that after accepting every invite, or if it's only happens for your first guild.

You can be part on many guilds at the same time, you can only represent one. When I joined GWJ, I wasn't representing by default, I needed to activate that. And a guild is per account, so any alts is automatically part of the guild, you just need to represent it.

All the info was in the guild tab for me.

Interesting, I never got a pop-up or anything, but it's possible I missed it. I also saw that Represent button hovering in the guild window everytime I opened it, I just didn't pay it much attention, I assumed it was some sort of... recruiting thing? I dunno.

I'm pretty sure that if you're not representing the guild, guild chat is disabled. So Red if you're wondering why we have been so quiet, that should be the reason too.

Hiya. Friend of mine (SaintFaucet) recommended I apply for the GWJ guild. I moved from Jade Quarry to Northern Shiverpeaks a couple of weeks back to check out the server culture and just added my name to the Character Survey. Would love to link up with you all some night (usually on after 8pm ET)!

I'm an 80 newb. Have only ever done one dungeon run, haven't tried sPvP nor WvWvW yet. Really love this game though, been years since I've gotten sucked in this much. I particularly enjoy how the game kinda masks farming through the DE chains. Lately it's been all Plinx, Grenth, and Balth, but I'm up for anything, and always willing to jump in and help fill out a dungeon run if people don't mind me learning along the way ;).

Have an 80 Ele I very much enjoy, and a baby Engy and Mesmer I keep thinking I'll get back to some year

Edit: just realized I forgot to put my character name: Delmarqo

On the first page, there is a google doc.

Just add you nickmane+#### and you will receive an invite.

Thank you!

It was fun playing with you guys, but I jumped ship for LOM over the weekend. I've been enjoying the hell out of WvW, and they have a heavy focus on that part of the game.

Ya they're one of the few guilds I regularly see in WvW. Good luck and see you in the borderlands!

You can be a member of more than one quild at a time. You can choose which guild to represent at any particular time.

The guild has really had no progression due to senior management babysitting other guilds on NSP. Every other guild was looking to us to solve their problems and we didn't have time for our guild, the most important guild.

Heh? I can't remember asking them for anything. Big for their britches much?

Yuk, I avoid certain guilds for less. I hate it when people forget they are just playing a game and get all whiny sauce.

Yeah, their QQ is pretty weak.

If I remember correctly, we absolutely crushed the other 2 servers in the last go-round for WvWvW. I'm not sure what they're complaining about. I don't do much WvW though. I stick to SPvP. Speaking of which, anyone interested in putting together a tourney team on the weekends?

Hey guildies, I'm about to hit 80 with my mesmer so it's time to grab some exotics, which means...

time to drink karma jugs!

if anyone else is due for some karma drinking we should coordinate and pop the 20% guild karma bonus.

How does wednesday sound? or should we wait till the weekend?

My main is still 25, so I'll have to pass, unfortunately... I'm getting there, though, I'm getting there!!

I haven't been saving them and just drank 'em when I got them. Unless we're going to wait for a few weeks, it won't matter to me. To be honest, I didn't know we were holding on to the karma bonus perk.

I don't think we really need to coordinate it, last I knew we were gaining more influence than we could really spend short of making a ton of banners and siege equipment.

we've generally had it up for at least one 24h period on most weekends.

Server has been dead lately. What is going on?
