From the quick look it looks like Nuketown is on its own playlist. If so, I think that's a great decision.

Yeah, but now you have that cruise ship map, which is pretty much the same kind of "ultra tight".

I spent the last two nights in TDM - so far looking very good. Not doing so bad either, although I already had the occasional run-in with a "killing machine"

Can't tell anything about Zombies or Single Player yet - not sure if I will touch the latter one at all.

Edit: Playing on PS3 btw. I find the framerate to be surprisingly solid.

The cruise ship is nice. Super tight in a couple areas, but there's also places with long stretches.

Contrary to my own expectations, I bought this today. I had planned to pick it up along the line somewhere, but not at launch. Tesco, a large supermarket chain over here, were doing the game for £25 if you buy 2100 MS points for £17. Given that RRP is £40, and some places are selling it for £45, it seemed like the kind of deal that I couldn't ignore.

That's a bit annoying about the cruise ship. But I think splitting NT was a good idea for other reasons. As a bonus for reserving a copy, it would split the player base on launch otherwise.

I can't remember, did the Death Machine persist after death in Black Ops? I was surprised when I got it, and it was still a perk option even after dying a few times (I had to run out of bullets - the sound it makes when it fires is glorious).

I'm actually very impressed for the most part with how ridiculously fast it is to join a match, at least for Team Deathmatch which is what i've mostly been playing. Every now and then it gets fussy and disconnects me from a few servers when I attempt to join, but I found quitting the game and getting back in helps with that.

The party system seems pretty solid. How is the voice chat handled? I think I'm going to dig my old PC headset out of retirement, I can see myself playing this game for quite a while.

There's in game voice chat and there's a push2talk button to bind for it.

WTB Hardcore Kill Confirmed.

WTB hardcore EVERYTHING!

Cant believe they only have like 3 or 4 hardcore modes.

Really liking the campaign so far, an hour in. It's an action movie spectacle, without being absurdly over the top, which CoD has been the victim of many a times. I hope the rest keeps this pace.

I just lost a longer post, but I'll shorten down to: I really like everything except the lag. Dying during shootouts that you're winning on your screen, over and over, isn't fun.

I really really hate that. I often feel like in matches I'm a split second behind everyone else in the game and unless I completely catch someone off guard I won't win the engagement.

This has been a thing in every Call of Duty on the consoles. When I was still super addicted to the original Modern Warfare I found myself wishing very much for an option to just disable the killcam for myself. Don't show it to me. Don't make me press a button to skip it. I don't want to see it. All it's going to do is show me how sh*tty the peer to peer netcode is.

So... why does the FAL sound like a freaking paintball gun now?

After 5 mp matches on the PC it hasn't hooked me yet. That's not saying much, but that's my initial feeling.

I enjoyed the few games I had earlier. There aren't as many people on my friends list playing as I'd expect.

EDIT:

I've been away from the series for longer than I realised. The last game I bought was MW2. I rented BLOPS for a few days.

I wonder if I'm more enthusiastic - though I'm renting - about this because I've had a good break or what.

Can I get some feedback on the single player, as that's all I play of call of duty. Just curious if it's any good as after the first one they all sort of blend together in an unmemorable way. Does this one stand out particularly well or is it just more of the same? The reviews on the single player section gave me from meh to very good.

I'm having fun with the MP. The league play is cool, but it sucks as a solo player because your rating depends on team victories and losses and if you get stuck in a sh$&@y team, you're screwed. It's cool to have everything unlocked though.

Had a good game with Jekl and his friends.

I got my copy in the mail, if anyone wants to play my GT is Lothars

If anyone wants to try to get a team together for Xbox league play, let me know. I'd be interested in playing as a team instead of running around like a lone wolf idiot.

I'd be game.

I tried some of the campaign last night in 3D mode. Pretty darn neat.

My availability is spotty, but when the opportunity presents itself I'd enjoy joining in on this. Heck, I'm still in the GWJ Elite Clan, and we could use some more members and clan points!

I'm also game. Too bad, I purchased MW3 fo the PS3, along with Elite and I can't transfer the account.

Does anyone want me to start a new clan? Or, should I just join GWJ Elite?

For anyone else who was interested in the Co-op and split-screen features this FAQ is very helpful. I have decided to pick this up in the next week. 4-player split-screen zombies!

Good times last night. I can't play tonight, but I will be on a lot this weekend.

Why does this war game contain pointless atrocities?!

Ok, I added you guys. Hopefully we can hook up for some online play. Then, we can talk about getting a team (or multiple teams) together.

I thought that there was already a GWJ clan in elite, but I couldn't find it. So, I created one. Feel free to join the GWJ clan.

I was convinced to buy this and I'm having a blast so far. I think it's a big improvement from Modern Warfare 3.

Unfortunately right now the Steam servers seem to be down and I can't play Multiplayer or Zombies

If you're playing PC make sure to add me if you haven't already, Steam profile link is in my signature!
(Which is probably down at this precise moment.)

There is one, I don't remember who was in charge.

Do you remember the name of the clan?
