I would say the answer is fairly obvious... just not particularly savory. Besides.. she from all accounts seems fairly douchey herself.

Good post, Gum! Imho while she's hot, she's not nearly hot enough for this crap.

In fact, Solo is what I like to call "contextually hot". Yes, she's very good-looking compared to most soccer players, most other athletes. You're watching women's soccer, you naturally pick out the best-looking girl on the field (which is only Hope if Alex isn't on the field).

But put her in a different context, like a typical college campus, and I doubt she stands out at all.

I believe Barney addressed this phenomenon as well lol

I really need to watch that show.

You do!

HIMYM: Just the first 3-4 seasons, though, really. It was amazingly good back then. It still gets there from time to time now, but it's not the same.

Also, I thought that Hope Solo came from a broken family with a father who was homeless for a time and kidnapped her briefly, etc. I'm not really finding this line of jokes that funny. She's obviously got relationship problems with men, possibly stemming from her dad.

I think the writing is still there, the acting has improved quite a bit since season one. Josh Radnor was groan-worthy at the beginning. It's just that the show is moving to wrap up all the character arcs before Ted meets his wife.

Back to football.

Anyone else think the AFC clearly leaning towards a Houston vs. Denver conference finals game?

Reverse jinxing your own team?

I think the real competitors are the four at the top presently, and I wouldn't hazard a guess among them: Texans, Ravens, Patriots, & Broncos.

EDIT: Tannhausered! Curses.

Boston, MA

nice reverse jinx there buddy!!!

edit: I'm not 100% sold on Manning.

Lets wait till it gets cold. Especially outside and cold.

All of the rest of his games are outside.

one is in Oakland though.

@ Baltimore December 16th

and home to Cleveland December 23rd

Those 2 could be interesting. December 30th home vs KC depends if he actually even has to play at that point.

Alex Smith has apparently passed concussion tests and will start Monday.

A little disappointed. Is that mean of me?

Baltimore is kind of sucky on defense these days, and Flacco always seems to have a couple of those "Oh, sh*t, is this guy really starting?" games a year, and he's due. The Steelers are apparently Ben-less. I'm incapable of believing the Bengals can succeed; I remain committed to the belief their stadium is built on an old Indian burial ground where orphans were sacrificed to Satan. It's the only explanation for Mike Brown. Basically, the AFC South is godawful except Houston, the AFC West is godawful except Denver, the AFC East is mediocre-to-bad except for New England . . . the AFC is really pretty crappy this year. New England, Denver, and Houston are really the only teams that are pretty solid, and even the Patriots have that crap secondary to deal with. Of course, now they have Aqib Talib. Until he shoots somebody.

I just moved out here in June. I grew up in Bills country. There's no reverse-jinx hope for Buffalo.

You got that right. Congrats on getting Mario, btw.

I wanted Mario Manningham.

I pretty much 100% agree. But I think we could still see a dip in Manning form just from outside and cold. I remember the splits between him playing indoors/outdoors and in bad weather being pretty ridiculous.

Even if he stays good I don't see Denver beating NE or Houston for 1/2 seeds.

Man the AFC is horrible this year especially with Baltimore and Pitt so banged up.

25 NFC vs 16 AFC h2h this year with Jags 0-4 and SD 0-3 helping that average.

Hey! And to think I have refrained from making any Inspector Gabbert wise cracks! Being an elite QB must not be in his stars...
