Just made my first purchase for my Santee!
Oh yeah, what's the time frame for sending the gifts?

When I have been sending presents, I try to ensure to get them there prior to the Christmas rush, usually aiming for the first 2 weeks. If the sending is out of my hands (buying something from a website, for example) I purchase around the last week of november.
I also made my first purchase. Just want to add a few more local items to the package to say "from groan!" and it'll be off on it's way to... mystery-land!

If you need information such as clothing size and such, let me know and I'll find out for you.

I'm going to be sending mine in the first week of December, mainly because I'm on vacation for the second week, and by the time I get back, it might be a little tight.
It will be wrapped with strict instructions not to open it until Christmas Day.

Oh! That reminds me. Do spiders need airholes do you think?

Also fangholes, so they don't have to wait until Christmas Day for a spot of festive venom-injections.

Groan is wise. If you're going to be banging a spider, it's bad form to do it missionary. With a bajillionty eyes, how do you know which ones to stare longingly into?
Woot! Stalking time.
What price range should be I gravitating around. I know there is no ceiling, and I'm not so much looking to do the bare minimum or anything like that- I just like to know what volume is appropriate for the conversation.
$780

If you are buying for me, not too much. A couple of grand or so should do.
Personally, I stick around $40.
I could use a new Batcopter, demonbox.
Thanks for organizing this Trichy, time to do a little research!

Previous years have advised that $25 is ball-park minimum, with no upper limit.

This. I usually shoot for the 40-50 range, just because I don't want to be the cheapest bastard on the block.
Though that said - a less expensive but more thoughtful gift is the one to knock it out of the park.

Indeed. While I've gotten some sweet stuff through Secret Stan, the objectively best item I've gotten was a hand-knitted tiny jet engine with a J on it that Maq's other half made when I was his SS.

Yah, EZ Bordone sent me a little magnet man that everyone who comes to my house ends up playing with.
Next year...I should be able to join the fun!
Enjoy it guys
So I totally stumbled across what I'm buying for my Stantee this year.
And if they don't like it, well, they can just send it on back to me - cuz it's AWESOME!
I really scored this year, as my victim posts A LOT. The stalking has started and some ideas are coming. Of course, information overload doesn't necessarily make it easier.

My victim seems to spend a lot of time in threads that have nothing to do with what's on their suggestions/hints list.
So I'm just gonna make a box of multiple things and hope at least one of them is worthwhile.
Anyone tasked with stalking me will find me in IRC, or on twitter more often than not
The first gift for my Santee has been obtained! Now to continue the search.

This is also true for me.
And holy hell, I'm having a hard time coming up with good ideas for my Stantee. Especially after last year's home run, I'm feeling some (self-imposed) pressure to deliver.

I've got one gift for my santee and one that I just need to put together, but I want to get a couple more things. Unfortunately, the couple more things I was thinking of getting I happen to have zero taste in. I may need a consultant.
