watching
No sweat. We can wait a little longer...and hopefully you will the higher upload speed soon at home
Posted a little update on the Amnesia stream which I hope is coming real soon!
I look forward to watching you play this, since I'm pretty sure I'm too scared to play it.
Why did they not put pants on him? Also he's like a Ken doll. I don't have time to watch the whole thing now PXA, but I'll leave some feedback if I can think of anything useful to say.
Alright! Hopefully I'll be able to tune in, because watching the Dark Souls stream was super fun, and Amnesia sounds interesting. Hoping the kids' naptime will coincide with the start of the stream.
I'll most likely still be at PAX East during a good portion of this, but I wish you the best of luck and can't wait to watch the archive!
I think I actually have that day off
Yess, I am so there. I am ready to laugh at your suffering.
Hmm. It looks like I'll be drinking in the middle of the day on the 24th. I hope to be able to watch the stream and laugh about the game rather than be scared along with you.
Calendar marked. I cannot wait to watch this. I love scary games and the monsters in this one freaked me out.
...starting at 3pm EST.
Oh come on, you know you picked this start time so the sun would be up and you could have the lights on. Or will you be man enough to black out the room and play with headphones?
PXA, glad to see you're still doing this despite the donation drive stretch goal business having been a success quite a while back!
Or will you be man enough to black out the room and play with headphones? :D
Well, he used a headphone/mic combo in the Dark Souls and Duke Nukem Forever videos, so unless he's specifically buying a mic just because of the game's reputation, we're in for a treat. And that's not just because PXA's a scaredy-cat, but because those first two streams were a lot of fun (though I didn't get to see DNF while it was happening). I'm not sure if I'll be able the see the whole thing live, but hopefully at least some of it.
I've already told my wife not to plan anything for the 24th. I cannot miss this. I know watching it afterwards is fun but I hate that it records it without the chat stream. Watching DNF was kind of weird without seeing the chat (and also being able to participate). How long is the entire playthrough anyway?
I have to leave PAX early and expect to be home by 4:30/5:00 PM. Please play slowly, I want to see you pee your pants live!!!
Hey, I didn't miss this yet after all! Fantastic!
I have marked my calendar! This may coincide well with the kiddos' naptime.
Today is the day!
Sunday, March 24th, starting at 3pm EST
Let the suffering begin!
Where's the link to the stream? Having issues finding it.
EDIT: Nevermind, found it.

Stream is up on my big screen TV and surround sound. The wife and I sitting and waiting patiently for the stream to start. I cannot wait to hear how scared you get!
Watching as well
Wanted to watch this, but apparently Twitch.tv is one of those sites that only partially works at work... and by partially, I mean the ads work and not the stream.
So I clicked into this thread to see how the tail end of Amnesia stream went and I saw this :
And stream is DONE! Finished it about 2 hours ahead of the median time from HowLongToBeat.com. Thank you to everyone who watched and chatted with me, you made it much more fun. This game is a steaming pile of fail and that's its creator still has a voice in the industry and press is a travesty. I've never felt so good uninstalling a piece of software in my life.
I was thinking , 'Man, I know it didn't hit you in quite the way you expected but WOW that is harsh!' . Then I noticed the date stamp on the message. :p
So how was the end? I think I mentioned before signing off chat that I thought maybe the one-sitting playthrough kind of hurt the experience as breaking up the slow-paced areas during multiple sessions would alleviate the potential tedium and make the scary points more intense - you wouldn't necessarily have the same sense of where you are in the pacing cycle if you stopped partway in and came back to it later on.
I agree with the comments that chat + light = less scary. If you heard those creepy sounds and had noone to talk to I think it would have been much different. I'd say the next time you do a stream like this you need to not have chat available or anyone else around. Close the laptop and open it only for a couples minutes every hour or so to take a break and so we can give input or feedback. It did weaken the game some but it was really fun watching some of PXA's expressions and the times where he did freak out some.
I have quite a few timestamps at home that were the funny moments. I'll get them over tonight so a highlight reel can be made. Wish I could have stayed until the end but was starting to fall asleep and had to work today
