Upcoming Indie Games to Keep an Eye On

I'd call that the "Gravity Bone" aesthetic.

This seems like the right crowd, any more news on Fez coming to the PC?

Phil has long stated he doesn't want the game to appear on PC. In Phil's Crazy Land, it's because you can't sit on a sofa and play Fez if it's on the PC. Yet, in Indie Game: The Movie, he uses a PC, a controller, and a TV-scale monitor to demo the game. Yeah. >.>.

Yes, he had previously expressed such an opinion, but much more recently (after the game actually came out) he seemed to have warmed to the merits of patching whenever he wanted and selling way more copies of the game. It's almost certainly a matter of time, but considering the waiting we've had for Fez thus far, don't hold your breath.

I don't care what you call it, I just want more of it.

Bleh, none of that excites me. There are plenty of other great games out this year, but I was hoping for 2012 to be a true smorgasbord.

Not sure where to put this so I just drop it here. The game is called frog fractions and that's all I'm going to say about it. Just trust me and play it.

I learned so much about fractions! Seriously, guys, play this game.

Wow, Frog Fractions is amazing.

It really is, amazing and funny. The courtroom scene had me ROLLING.

It has an indignity meter. Awesome.

Hoo boy. Ok. Here we go. So I have been working on a game now for a few months and it's finally getting into a state where I feel comfortable to start talking about it. I thought making a series of Development Diaries might be a good way to get folks interested. It's called (until we get legally threatened by someone) Card Dungeon and it's a Rogue like mixed with a card game.

Wasn't really sure where else to post this, but this thread seemed like it might fit.

YES PLEASE.

Do you have a website with this on it, preferably one with RSS? Posting here is good, but for me I'll forget to watch it when I get home from work.

Have you seen Card Hunter?

We do! I just set it up today and will work on it tonight, but it's located at http://www.card-dungeon.com

I have, and I am really looking forward to playing it. I was a bit worried at first that it would be very similar, but the game play is very different. And yes, Joey Chen's artwork was an inspiration as well. Huge fan of his work. We also pull inspiration from Demons Souls, DnD (especially tomb of horrors) and card games like Pandemic and Wiz War.

Good sources, for sure. Looking forward to watching it.

Looks good, Fredrik. Subbed to your channel.

I am really looking forward to Crysis 3, and Gears of War Judgment.

oops

Well that looks like a day 1 purchase

Don't know if the game has been mentioned in this thread before, but beta signups are open for Dungeonland.

Element4l is a physics-based platformer that you control by switching elements.

Steam Greenlight page

It's also part of the current deal at humblebundle.com, but if you're like me, you already have the other games in the bundle. I'd rather help get it onto Steam.

I got a few hours into Waking Mars when they announced the PC port. Looking forward to replaying, and finishing, it. Such a calm, but very engaging game.

The next game from the developers of World of Goo seems to be launching in a few days, Little Inferno:

Still no clue what the gameplay is like but World of Goo was amazing so I'm excited.

I got a couple of hours or more into the game, think I was making good progress. Then I hit an area in which I simply could not move forward. Tried Googling for help, and turned out I just had to abandon the game. It was enjoyable enough up to that point.

I worry about the longevity of the scenario, but as a small slice that looks awesome.

Giantbomb streamed some of it:

I saw the thread for that, but didn't realize who was making it. I'm all over this.

Thought GWJ of all places would absolutely love this. It's called Limit Theory, and it's a procedurally generated space sim with trading, fleets, and so on.

The Kickstarter is here, and I really hope it gets funded.

We might want to consider starting at thread for current indie things. That said, I think this probably won't be the last the hear about this designer's nifty little puzzle game: Puzzle Popstar
