DDO Orien server catch all - Static Group nights Tuesday and Thursday 8PM EST

I've missed a couple weeks for various reasons.

I'm not sure how many are on the east coast, but do we have enough people able and willing to play tonight?

I'll be on with my newly minted level 4(1 rogue, 3 fighter). I'm currently in the marketplace catacombs at the step in the quest line where it becomes an extreme challenge, so can't solo any further. I also have a couple other extreme challenges(like trogladyte clutch, vile apothecary), and one where I have to rescue a book binders family for the coin lords. So if anyone is up for alt night, would be great!

I am likely out tonight. It looks like a social engagement will be running longer than anticipated.

I am out doing lighting as mentioned before, although it appears we are only out until middle of Nov, not all month as I originally thought. Doesn't help tonight, of course.

Ohhhh the Mamar event is scheduled to go live at 4pm est tonight.

If the servers are up and the event is running, I would not mind running some of the marbar events.

Sorry I missed last night. lost power about an hour before game time.

I got to fight the ethereal dragon, it was pretty cool:) Though was getting really really bored with killing undead, lol!

Bah, 2 tries at the Dragon last night and nothing. I did collect about 3k motes though.

Wow, I only got like 600 motes. But I'm fighting in the level 4-9 area, I was using the potions to get more.

Do the potions get you more mote drops even in the graveyard area? Have not tried them out.

I'm mostly farming with my mage in the 16-20 zone, unload all my mana, port back to Area J Inn, mana up and repeat. I'm finding that soloing is much better than grouping. In a group the drops are still random but are round robin for the most part, I still say those that deal the most dmg have a higher drop rate chance.

I finished getting a Cloak of Night (Lvl 16) for my bard last night, and a +3 Eternal Wand of Nimbus of Light also for the bard. Only problem is getting enough Spectral Dragon Scales.

Sorry guys, I just have not had any energy to play anything this week. I hope to feel better next week

No worries. Take care of yourself!

So my laptop seems completely boned. I'm going to try using a repair disc once I can get one but I am not optimistic. If I can't get it running I will probably be off DDO for a month or so. :(

I'm back up and running. DDO looks a lot better with the new laptop also >_>

Edit: I got one of these funky laptop/tablet convertibles, so I apologize in advance for what happens when I play a dungeon using the touchscreen.

I am planning to hop on this afternoon with my Bard for a while if anyone wants to join me. No real planned time might be on and off a bit.

I'm out for tomorrow night. I've got some very important election watching and accompanying drinking to attend to.

I am meeting some friends for dinner tonight, and not sure how late I will be out with them, but should be on tomorrow night with my dwarf if anyone wants to level their alts with my main:)

Thanks guys for taking me through those quests last night, I had alot of fun, really enjoyed it! It was nice seeing something other than the sewers of the marketplace;-)

Had a lot of fun last night. Enjoying playing a bard more than I thought I would.

I just need to work on my timing when trying to get those songs off on mobs.

And I need to work on not dieing as much:) Though I think the invulnerable armor someone gave me last night helped:)

Yeah, to be the fair some of those quests where 3 to 4 levels higher then you so I would not worry to much about it.

One goal to work towards is getting the best fortification item you can find. That will negate critical hits against you.

What Arovin said. My Wizard is taking lots of crit hits while farming for motes. I never really noticed how bad it was but it can hit for about 60+ dmg per crit and these are lvl 12-16 mobs. Sigh... spending more than 25% of my mana healing myself.

Really got to start farming tapestries for that heavy fort helm.

As a Warforged you can get by fine with a moderate fortification item and still be 100% crit proof. Moderate Fort gives 75% and WF have an innate 25% , they stack.

Ohhh I didn't know that, thanks! Halloween has been very beneficial too, both my Wizard and Bard now have the lvl 16 Cloak that gives Ghostly + Deathblock and a few other things. Now I'm stocking up on Death Ward potions.

where can I get a fortification item at level 5?

Patch day and its a big one remember to update early before the next session.

Patch notes here

One more week of rehersals, then Tuesdays and Thursdays are free again (until March, anyway)! So next week I can show up again.

Will be updating tonight:) Provided it is available when I get home. I am 1.5 bubbles away from level 6.

Looks like a few people are having trouble patching tonight and Steam is making them re-download all 7 gigs. Will try again on Thursday.
