Reviews are saying it sucks balls. I don't even think that's paraphrasing.

Since when did ball sucking become a bad thing

When the thing doing the sucking is made of hard, dry plastic? Better set that sexy little thing to vibrate.

Well that was annoying. While I think Shift is interesting as a way to get extra gold keys entice people to follow their social networkings, I really think this was a bad way to roll out what is essentially some free skin pack.

In order to unlock them all, I had to:
1) Copy+paste 5 codes into Shift (yay for Steam, this would be really annoying to do on a console)
2) Go into the game with a character, and use an item from my inventory. Then quit out.
3) Repeat step 3 about 4 times because it only handed me the skins two at a time.

Why not just shove these out with an 4 kb title update that unlocked the content that was already in my game? Yeah yeah, free stuff, but really Gearbox, making your customers jump through needless hoops for it?

Yea just imagine how much fun it is on the 360. They even made the code entry field 5 separate fields and they didn't bother mapping any keyboard keys (which I have seen other games do so that you can hit enter and use arrow keys to move around the interface). So while you can use a keyboard to enter the characters/digits you have to switch between it and a controller every five characters.

THIS TIMES NINE THOUSANDS!

Hit (X) to enter SHiFT code, hit (A), wait 10 seconds, slowly type first 5 characters, hit Enter, hit (A), wait 10 seconds... - times 5 codes...

What killed me is that like shoptroll, I had to quit out and restart a bunch of times. On the 360, it only gave me one skin at a time.

Worked like that on the PC, too. You didn't need to quit out of the whole game, just load up a character 5 times. It could even be the same character.

I can't wait till Gearbox fixes their stupid Nvidia surround issues. The game is unplayable just because they couldn't get the main menus right. It's been well over a month and should have been taken care of. What were they thinking when they listed Nvidia surround as a feature? Did no one even test it once? Gahhhh!

Obviously they needed time for the DLC. They were slow to fix bugs in BL1 as well, so I have little faith that they'll actually address some of the bugs people have been having.

What's this nVidia surround thing? I have an nVidia card and I haven't had any trouble.

It's a menu issue. It's a stupid simple problem that should be easily fixable. They got it right for the most part but the game is unplayable across three screens because of it. They advertise the game as Nvidia surround capable on Nvidia's website.

If anyone is playing 360 in the low to mid-20's, I could really use a co-op game.

Been solo-ing it and some team play feels to be in order.

My son and I have an Axton/Zer0 combination that is around level 19 I think. Getting passed by in levels by all the cool kids sucks.

I have a Zer0 at 23. Am hoping to be online tonight. I add you and keep an eye out.

Quick tip that I just figured out: If you want to farm The Warrior on TVHM, but you don't want to deal with the baddies in Hero's Pass, start up in normal mode and kick the crap out of the low level baddies until you get to the vault, then restart in TVHM. Boom, saved ya the trouble of fighting through the pass!

Alright I love this game.

Mantid and one of our non-GWJ friends were one story quest ahead of last night, but I jumped in anyway, and finished up 2 more story quests and a bunch of side stuff.

Then I fired it up this afternoon, and noticed that I was still on the old quest. Wasn't really looking forward to repeating all of that, but I did the one quest I was on, and then... a popup asked me if I wanted to skip past the story missions I had completed in another session? Hell yes, I said, and clicked on through.

Very nice feature, and really frees you up to play coop whenever you want, no matter what the mission. First time I've run across it personally, but I'm glad to know it's there.

Sometimes you might want to replay those missions for the shot at a nice drop off a boss or whatever, so it's good that they ask.
FYI, this only happens when you join someone else's game and do a mission. If they join your game and do a mission, it's marked done like normal/sp.

Giz, Atras: Send me an FR. I have 1 of each class going on at the moment, and am always looking for co-op partners.

So I have been dabbling with maya a bit more. I got axton up to second place in progress through the game. But maya was my highest and I was struggling with her dying a lot in the 16 range. So I looked and looked and looked at the talent trees. I decided to respec and go with the elemental tree and it has made a huge difference. (over the middle "healing" tree)

Now I am still quite vulnerable but with the fiery explosion on phaselock and the ricocheting bullets in phaselock and the dropping the acid pool on hit, I am a beast. The funny thing is even with transfusion grenades I am running around with 20-70% hp but I am ripping things to shreds. Also it is very rare where I am downed and I can't get second wind nearly instantly so pretty much that is how I heal. I run around with 70% health, get whittled down to 20%, then if I am downed, BAM, second wind and I am back up to 50%.

I also have the shield depletion fiery explosion but it is either no a big enough range or overkill on something that is already dead.

One thing I really like is I found a pistol that does 79x2 damage but it is fire damage so I am firing 2 projectiles that burn and one of them leaves an acid pool.

Also a jakob's Law pistol that does nearly as much damage as my sniper with a 9 round clip (fire as fast as you can) is really nice too.

More shift codes!

PC SHiFT Code: 5TK3J-CS9BW-KFBJB-BJTJB-ZJFZW
Xbox 360 SHiFT Code: KBW3T-JT9ZK-F9FJF-K63TB-CBT3K
PlayStation 3 SHiFT Code: W3KTJ-FJFCT-3KCW3-Z3WJJ-JKT6R

We are already friends, I'll catch you online

Thanks, Rallick! Got it!

Is anyone playing on pc around 25? I'd like to try some co-op and it doesn't seem like anyone on my friend list is playing.

I just hit 21 over the weekend playing with a friend. Our current play style of ignoring all side quests and just following the story missions for the first play through has left us with impossible fights against lvl 25 constructors that my turret and his deathtrap just can't hold a candle to. I'll be happy to have another helping hand.

I've got 5 characters in various stages. Steam link is in sig, just friend me up tonight.

I picked up the season pass and enjoyed playing through the Captain Scarlett plot line. It didn't help much with the leveling as I entered at 19 and left at 22 but it immediately gave me a gear boost. I got a really nice 6 hp team regen class mod with some nice +skills. I have a great ~20% bullet absorb shield and my artifact (can't remember what it is but I think it is +shield capacity and regen) is way better than +5% rare drops. My sniper rifle went from high 200's with elemental damage to mid 400's with a larger clip, a couple more points of accuracy and jakob's fire as fast as you can pull the trigger. I went from one exploding pistol at 180 damage to 2 exploding pistols at 300 damage with one also doing fire damage. The former is great against mechs. The latter is great against fast moving ground targets like skags and the stealthing leaper things but is also great against badasses (especially badass mechs)

I also now have a little collection started of e-tech and weird weapons. I have an errol SMG that fires a flapping series of 5 adjacent blue orbs. Then my e-tech weapons include an assault rifle that fires blue beams, a slag/fire needler? that shoots purple darts that stick and explode after half a second.

I did mostly story with minimal side quests with the DLC and then went back and completed the wildlife preserve and slag king main story. This morning I decided to go back to Oasis and grab all the side quests. I think the progression of the story is better in the DLC but it is hard to tell now because the benefits of gearing up in the DLC have made the main story much smoother. Another benefit is that I have gotten a lot more money saved up than I know what to do with and I have gotten a ton of eridium and therefore lots of upgrades like 28? backpack slots, 84 sniper clip, 6 grenades and 500 pistol clip.

So other than slots, I have no idea what to do with the $75k I have accumulated. And I need to do something with it because those rare deaths are friggen expensive =P

You can feed money to moxxi to get some smgs although not sure what level those end up being...I had a friend who did it and ended up with something not worth using, but I've always done it as soon as possible.

Also the slot machines can drop purps, I think, but it's super rare (and also the level of the stuff from the slot machines is pegged to whatever "level" sanctuary is at rather than your level...check the max level item you can get from a sanctuary vendor to see whatever that is).

I got my first orange weapon from the slot machines (specifically the one in Holy Spirits in Outlook).

I see the options to tip 100 and 1000. I have given her 10 1k donations and got nothing. Does she just pop it into your inventory? Or does it fall on the floor?

Give her enough and she'll thank you vocally and hold out Miss Moxxi's Good or Bad Touch.

10 times seems to be more of the minimum than the rule. It seems to be at least partially randomized. Just keep forking over money.

It's pretty random. I have given her 20k and got nothing, while I have given her as little as 3-4K and got one of the guns.

Not sure if it is only a "once per session" thing where maybe I tried to tip her and someone else already had or what.

I have a 29 Zero, friend me up.
