NFL 2012 Week 9 Thread

Looks like only 2 4pm games again today.

So dumb.

My guess is that the NFL has fairly solid data that shows far worse ratings in the afternoon. They probably do better funneling the diehards into one of two games.

But hey, Sporting KC is playing the Houston Dynamo at 2:30 CST in real playoff football!

Oh those Bears. Blocked Punt TD.

Really Cutler just has to not turn the ball over and kill some clock and the defense & special teams will carry him.

Another Bears TD off an INT.

Turning it off. This Titans team is a f*cking embarrasment.

The Titans might want to just give up on this game.

At least the Vandy fans in Nashville will be happy for Cutler winning, right?

Nelson and Bulaga have already come up limp...

Just need to win and get into the bye. :/

So, it looks like three afternoon games, right? And two of them are part of the picks. So that's cool.

Oh I guess I didn't see the TB game. 3 is a little better than 2.

6 turnovers by the Titans. Wow.

Pretty sure they gave up before the game started.

So are Titans and Jaguar fans willing to admit that the coaches that were fired last year(Fisher and Del Rio) were the only thing keeping their teams competitive?

I meant more like the "leave and go to the bar" kind of give up.

Fisher sucks and he's been gone two years now. We didn't suck last year without him. Our def coordinator is terrible along with the offensive coordinator. I still laugh at the national perception that Fisher is some wonderful coach.

Fisher was fired 2 years ago? Man I am not paying attention. I still think he's a better coach then you give him credit for though.

Edit: Muncheck is terrible too. They pretty much need to clean house.

The numbers don't lie. Go look at his playoff wins and Super Bowl appearances.

Wtf Terry Bradshaw "Reggie Bush running like he was a chasing a bucket of chicken"

Del Rio was barely even present at the end of his run in Jacksonville.

Now, Dirk Koetter, that's someone I wish was still in Jacksonville.

Part of the problem in Jacksonville is that a core chunk of the defense has not played all year. Neither starting outside linebacker has played a single game this year, which includes the team's best defender, Daryl Smith. Rashean Mathis isn't playing either. And some of the key defenders who are playing are returning from injury, like Derek Cox. And they're simply not a good enough team to compete with a half-missing, half-beat-up defense.

Luck has 273 yards and has been playing lights out through the first half. Unfortunately, we still have no ground game, and we're not getting stops on defense. Add in two missed field goals, a dropped TD pass, and our complete lack of defense, and we're losing to Miami.

We need to generate some turnovers this half. Only created 3 so far all year.

At least Brandon Weeden isn't your QB.

Yeah that drop to Hilton was tough right before the half. Would have been a nice momentum boost.

Holy crap, Manning intercepted by the Bengals in the end zone.

Did Mario Williams just get carted off the field against Houston? I was in the bathroom.

GET YOUR FOOT IN, JUSTIN BLACKMON.

EDIT: And Jennings takes a ball that hits him square in the hands, and bounces it up for an INT.

Gabbert was throwing lasers that drive. His development is starting to become very encouraging. But the rest of the team seems to self-destruct every time Gabbert starts to play better. :/

other one I think

Oh yeah forgot about the Redskins election prediction. Now I know who to cheer for in that game.

There is a white Williams playing D for the Bills right now. How many Williams they got?

Love the Redskins throwbacks. Makes me want to root for them, until I remember Dan Snyder still owns the team.

Although that TY Hilton catch might make up for it. Wow.

Jacksonville has played bend-don't-break defense all day against Detroit, and they're just lacking the playmakers to make plays to end drives on 3rd down. Detroit has yet to torch them, but they've put together patient and methodical drives all day.
