How about a story on Dishonored?
How were we traveling with the Google Poll you had running Hedge?
How were we traveling with the Google Poll you had running Hedge?
From the last I posted on this,
I've closed the voting. With 40 votes in, the top choices are (in descending order of total votes):
1. Let the wily Rabbit choose for himself
2. The collapse of games journalism print-media
3. Alcohol & Gaming (and the various incarnations around this topic)
Some write-in candidates:
1. League of Legends & the Rise of E-Sports (my guess is a LoL Fan)
2. The Cruelty vs. Generosity Paradox
I'm ignoring the suggestions for Steel Battalion or Phantom Dust (Edwin).
Thoughts on how people want to proceed? Just let Rabbit choose? Have a 2nd vote with options limited to top 3: 1 vote per pledgearino, limited to pledge participants? Go to the pub & discuss?
Go to the pub & discuss?
Anyone able to pick me up on the way through

Pub and discuss is nice, but not everyone will be there the same time I take it.
I am in dubio on this. Should I go for something I'd like to see what Rabbit's vision on it is, or am I curious enough to see what Rabbit comes up with himself?
Last time I've voted for letting Rabbit decide himself. Maybe not much of a challenge one way (sparkle ponies was!).
In the end, I am sure we end up with a piece more than worthwhile...so I am sticking to my first vote.
Let Rabbit decide this time. He has earned it! lol
An interview with American McGee about games as art?
Interview with Roger Ebert about games as art?
Is there a way we can give Rabbit our top 2 or 3 choices and let him decide on those? We're being nicer by offering choice, but still able to set some guidance.
Just noticed this tweet from Rabbit today
Julian Murdoch @GWJRabbit
Thanks to all the freakin' enabling by my @gwjcc contingent, I just preordered Halo4 for tomorrow. Sigh. And I'm so bad at Halo.
Jeff Green replied as well
@GWJRabbit @gwjcc you and me both, buddy!
So, if Rabbit can convince Jeff to do a write up together. Or at least play together and Rabbit writes about Halo4....
wouldn't that be just awesome?
And I don't even like consoles and their silly games!

A Julian vs Jeff "Tom vs Bruce"? I'd like that. I'd like to see a stream-of-consciousness dialogue while playing Halo 4, discussing the Halo legacy, Dorito-powered bastion of teenaged-boy video gaming/masterclass of mechanical game design that it is, between those two *scrambles desperately for polite way to put it* elder statesmen of games journalism.
I don't know...
I'm sure Rabbit could make a good article out of it, but I'm kind of over Halo personally (and was never super into it anyway). Plus, Halo is super mainstream and will therefore get tons of stuff written about it. I'd rather get an article on something a bit more niche. Not even super niche necessarily. Like something on XCOM or Dishonored would be great. Just not something on one of the biggest games in the industry.
Exactly that Gravy. Couldn't come up with that name anymore. But that's what came to mind
And ninja... first article was sparkle ponies....to me the game doesn't matter anymore now lol
I'm sticking with Catherine. Especially after rabbit's Lando article.

Only if he actually finishes Catherine.

I endorse this idea. Present the top three ideas and let him decide.
So what are the top three ideas then?

Well, according the last you posted on this...

Option 1 pretty much covers anything we've suggested here since that post, if Rabbit sees merit in it and wants to explore it further. It also plays well with the 'reward to the Sparkle Pony punishment' idea of karmic distribution.
I personally like that, as we are 'funding' a piece of passion. How often do people get that opportunity in their careers?
I'm sticking with Catherine. Especially after rabbit's Lando article.
I think this is a good idea (Final Fantasy XIII being a distant second fodder for Lando). I'd also be interested in a board game related article.
