Castle Catch All.

I'm glad I wasn't holding a drink when they were on the bridge, I'd have thrown it to the ceiling. I enjoyed the episode, but it was really heavy, and after my day, I had been hoping for a light-hearted version. Looking forward to next week!

Spoiler:

I am guessing that we can expect a "3XK takes Alexis" episode at some point this season?

Bridge scene was the thing I saw coming bigtime. I also thought the transfer agents might be fake - when Castle told Beckett everything was fine no matter what happened, I knew he had a plan.

That said, I also predicted from the very first Castle fingerprint that the killer was a crime lab/scene employee.

I wonder about these sorts of comments. In the future, will people reading through this thread know that this comment is a reference to another popular thread on the board today? Or will it just seem like the weirdest non sequitur?

As a newcomer to this thread, I can attest that it seems like the weirdest non sequitir.

Completely agree that Drama Castle is highly inferior to original Castle. The Rick Castle I thought I knew wouldn't be able to pump half a dozen shots into a guy without freaking out, or having some comic take to defuse the drama.

That being said, original Castle would have no problems putting all 6 shots on target, just like Drama! Castle did.
He's apparently a great shot with a pistol as he demonstrated to Beckett at the police range back in episode 7 of season 1.

Too bad Castle, being such a great shot, didn't put one in the guy's head instead of hitting his vest over and over again.

I'm under the impression that real handgun training involves shooting for the center of mass, aka the chest. Much easier to hit than the head.

Indeed. All this video game training of aiming for headshots is pretty bad training for actually shooting at a moving target. :p

Castle took lessons from River Tam.

I don't think that's the Firefly character that would come to mind first about who Castle would be channeling.

Maybe not, but she was a damned good shot!

If he learned from Book, he'd aim for kneecaps.

Haven't seen the Dark Castle episode yet, but for those folks who were wondering where the Halloween episode went, looks like it's airing tomorrow:

Um guys... tonight is called "The Final Frontier" and directed by Jonathan Frakes.

Saw some other spoilers about special guest stars, but I'll leave it alone and let you have some surprises.

Tonight will be "must see" Castle I think.

I'm so excited for tonight. These are the episodes I stick around for.

Man this is good. And so many Firefly parallels.

Wasn't Fillon talking about buying the rights to the show a while back?

Me likee lots. The conclusion was disappointing, but I loved everything else.

Firefly parallels and direct references even. "And that Joss Whedon show."

Also, this.

I was going to be super disappointed if one of you didn't immediately post a picture of Alexis.

Lots of great sci-fi in-jokes. And the end totally cracked me up.

Thanks Q for not disappointing us.

Loved that episode. Particularly the ending.

Definitely a return to light-hearted Castle.

Creaver mask? Epic.

She does that in real life. Maybe not so sexpot, though.

The ending song was perfect. Especially since its Shatner singing. And I love Frakes' ability to laugh at himself.

I was taking a drink when he said "I'm your number one fan" and I almost choked.

As revealing as Alexis' costume was... it's just terrible. Funny, but unflattering.

Wait, Number One Fan was Frakes??

Haha yeah I didn't notice the first time either. Had to go back and look later.

You are the worst Castle fan ever.

My wife didn't recognize him, but I did. I didn't get the significance of "number one fan", though. Nice.
