Fixed Mann vs. Machine robots not taunting when they level up while carrying the bomb
Updated the health bar for Merasmus and Monoculus
Added more credits to Caliginous Caper, Wave 666

Well that would explain why Monoculus was leveling up...

Apparently that started leveling up exactly a year ago.

EDIT: Fun fact... Merasmus and Bombinomicon are voiced by Nolan North.

Fixed Mann vs. Machine robots not taunting when they level up while carrying the bomb

What...? Is that why they taunt?

Private has been updated. Let's kill mannes on it... TONIGHT!

I wish there were more admins on late night west coast time.

I was there for a while. I had to leave though I just couldn't take it anymore.

Not always, they taunt after some kills too. If they are upgrading you can see a little circle thing show up above their heads too.

Are you on my friends list? If I'm not at work I am usually able to log in and take care of some riff-raff.

Somehow I only get sound now when I use a headset or the speaker out. Nothing on my laptop speakers anymore.
Other programs work fine. I switched audio from headset to 2 speakers within TF2. Deleted some cfg-s I've found.
So far to no avail. Odd thing is, on a separate account on win8 (vm) it works fine...

Any ideas?

Got no attention on the other page So asking again.

Maybe check your Steam audio settings too? Weird.

I don't see how that will help. I had all the resistance upgrades and all the building upgrades by about halfway. Still got f*cking destroyed by those crit soldiers.

@Sparhawk - dunno, man. Delete clientregistry.blob? That seems to be magic for weirdo TF2 stuff. Reinstall Steam?

Maybe exit Steam, change audio inputs in Windows, restart Steam. Then exit Steam, change the audio inputs back in Windows and restart Steam would maybe force Steam to see your settings.

About all I got, sorry.

I did registry blob thing. No joy.
But also reviewed the audio settings again....seemed I disabled TF2 through windows audio...but then it still works through the headset. Really weird...
anyway, it helped and it's solved now!

up for trade too.

Out of **curiousity what are you asking for it?

**(Since price is likely out of my range)

Edit: Maybe PM me or we should take this to the trade thread.

Someone was saying they got a great screenshot on Upward. Whoever you are, post it!

If it had been Wave 665, I would've beaten it. Got the final tank down to 1% health and failed. Heartbreaking.

Join me on the GWJ MvM server and we'll take this beast down! EDIT: Lobby has formed. Will post after-action report...

AAR: It will be possible to beat this with a GWJ team. Furthest we made today was the spy rush (60% complete)... but that was including one player who had never done MvM before today and another with just a fraction more experience.

Lessons learned today:
* If you run out of crit canteens when the tanks are in play, go get crit canteens. Don't wait until you're out of ammo or the tanks are closing in. Get them ASAP. Might even be worth putting some extra cash into movement speed to do so faster, unless the 2-way teleporter system is working well.
* Poof the bomb into the pit. It's much tougher when the bomb path is going to the right. I think I got 5 pit-poofs in one attempt.
* If a demo has good forethought, the whole team can breathe easier. Erik had really good preemptive crit sticky placements.
* Everyone (except maybe engi) should start with 2 points in crit resist and 2 points in blast resist, followed soon after by some points in bullet resist.
* Best team comp of the day: heavy with Brass Beast x2, demo with Loch-and-Load, engi with Wrangler, pyro with Backburner, soldier with Buff Banner and Beggar's Bazooka / Direct Hit.

Wow, Stan's Pub has been populated most of the day with a WIDE range of pubbies. It's like my paradise, where I can kick ass and kick jerks.

Remember that conversation we had yesterday Brainz? Well the late night pubbies were even worse...

Bonus tip for mvm_coaltown_event: when the spy rush comes, there are multiple tanks in play... so jump on top of a tank and stay out of their reach.

Wow, great tip! I didn't know you could stand on them.

Yikes, nearly impossible to kill Merasmus on a pub server, and when you do, you're probably dead because people are just killing each other for whatever reason. So frustrating.

Pub action?

You're playing TF2 wrong.

Robot Chicken - TF2 short

I have to admit, the other night, I was part of that problem. I started by helping to kill Merasmus, but after getting killed so many times while doing that and noticing that only about 3 or 4 others on the server were actually paying attention to him, I concentrated on just killing and capping. It is very liberating to be able to drop sentries without have to be concerned about wrangling them when Merasmus shows up.

Part of the issue too is that it's far too easy to hit someone with a stray bullet (or three) from the minigun if you're a heavy firing at long range. Not that I've done that at all...

This is the same problem as Monoculus, of course. The game itself doesn't even know if it's competitive or coop. That makes it confusing even when people are trying to be Good Citizens, and stupidly easy to grief.

I'm not sure why, but it doesn't feel like as big a deal on Mann Manor. Partly, I think everyone "gets" that the boss is a sideshow to the point-capping. Or maybe Mann Manor is just such a hot mess that it doesn't matter.

A server option to turn off enemy fire when the boss shows up with help this game style a ton.
