What are you playing this weekend?

Maybe it's the fact of it being Halloween season, but I started playing Walking Dead on XBL. I usually hate survival horror games as I just don't go for horror stuff. But this is really a well done game! Thumbs up to Telltale!!

Had a nice Call of Cthulhu session with friends, working through New York in the Masks of Nyarlathotep campaign. No combat, no real rolls, just four hours of noodling on clues and peeling back more and more layers of the plot.

I also picked up LA Noire, which I'm playing when not wrapped up in Skyrim or ME2. Makes for a great game to play when my wife is in the same room, as the interviews are fairly interesting to watch and discuss.

My workday is almost over, and since I have standby duty this weekend (be near laptop and phone), I'll be staying at home mostly. A friend told me I could pick up his copy of Xcom for 360 after work, really looking forward to spend some time with that. Plus some racing through Colorado in Forza: Horizon, that should provide ample entertainment for the weekend. Combined with 1 or 2 workouts by putting the bike on the indoor trainer and maybe a short run, work permitting, equals a pretty good weekend!

More Sword of the Stars II and Rules of Engagement 2 for the blog, maybe some Burnout Revenge or Orcs Must Die 2 (which I just began playing, wow it's fun!) for myself.

Trying to close out Dishonored so I can hear the spoilers in the podcast. Is it wrong that's one of my reasons to finish up?

I'm hopefully playing visit a nude hot spring. No other plans.

Starting both El Shaddai and Assassin's Creed: Revelations, I imagine. Taking a handheld break to finally get around to finishing The Witch Watch by Shamus Young.

My TTRPG group just got done with a 2 session "palette cleanser" wherein they basically got to murder everything in sight ala Hollowpoint. Good, barebones plot (Replacement Killers, and a couple other Chow Yun Fat movie plots. Good test of my skills as a GM). Tomorrow night is going to be a longer session, since it will be picking a system, general wants in a campaign (round table discussion), and character creation (intermixed with taking care of kiddos, letting them roll dice, sneaking them chips). The basis is Western Fantasy (so no L5R, no Sengoku, no Legends of the Wulin, no Anima) and it has to be a new system to the group (so no D&D, no HackMaster). Thus far, the 2 suggestions are Dungeon World and Legends of Anglerre. Apparently, I'll be GMing either way, so that should be fun.

Also: More DC:SS - I need to get more points before Sunday. I have no illusions I'm actually going to get any runes, but I'm going to try!

I have not a freaking clue. Waaaay too many games I want to play and waaaay too much time this weekend to play them.

I will just say ALL OF THE GAMES and leave it at that.

Still working on Borderlands 2...

going to jump into Assassin's Creed 3 properly and no doubt some more King's Bounty : WoN. I have Forza Horizon to hand as well if I fancy something without bladed weapons.

I'm not sure how much game time there'll be but I'd like to sally forth in Metal Gear Solid 4 and maybe play a couple turns in Civilization V.

Dishonoured is now on the back burner (as is borderlands) played NFS most of the day and can see that and AC3 taking up the weekend.

It's been slow going, but I'm starting to find my groove in SPAZ. I like that when I run out of cash, I can go to a mining star and just go AFK while the AI collects. While I'm reading Cloud Atlas, I'm replenishing my rez. Win-win!

Otherwise my OEM copy of Windows 8 should be arriving; backing up game saves and making the jump to full retail (have been running the developer preview on my new-ish Macbook).

Still on Persona 3, but at the point where I just grind for social links until the next boss.

Possibly Strange Journey as well.

Hopefully just riding out league of legends and not breaking down and buying ac3 and trying to beat it before halo 4 comes out.

Veloxi - I think it's hilarious that there are two of us playing Burnout Revenge. It's so old! First 360 game I bought, and not nearly as good as Takedown was. As I've said before, nowadays I play it with my three year-old daughter.

For myself, I'm working towards finishing Dark Souls. I've finished my first post-Lordvessel area, and am off for New Londo Ruins. I might get held up by deciding to grab the DLC, though. I'm not sure when I'll play again, so now is probably the best time to try the new content.

Haha, well if you recall, I DID just get my first PS2 ever. It does feel weird saying "OMG DID YOU GUYS PLAY THIS 2005 GAME?!?!" and such, but I'm genuinely excited.

Gonna try and finish MoH: Warfighter. Great campaign.

Dark Souls with a bit of NFSMW tossed around.

Mechwarrior Online (Open Beta everyone's invited!), CS:GO (Free weekend everyone's invited!), and perhaps some Dark Souls.

Finished up Old World Blues this week (loved Dr. Klein and his fear of my hand-penises). Hoping to start and finish Lonesome Road this weekend, which will be the end of New Vegas for now.

Doubt I'll be playing much; gots a Lady Gaga/The Darkness gig to catch!

X-Com! I want to play so bad tonight. or Xenoblade! I finished all of the quests I got in the first area !?!? So onto the next story beat.

I got bored with Dishonored, so I am back into Dark Souls again. 230 hours played between six different characters and there is still a ton of content to play. I have my Cleric leveled and I am ready to make a push for the end...finally.

I'll be playing Okami HD and Elemental Fallen Enchantress with a little Tactics Ogre: Let us Cling Together (Which before warfighter come out was easily my top pick for worst subtitle ever, if only because it sounds like a bad romantic comedy) depending on how much I have to spend away from my computer.

My original plan was to spend all weekend exploring exterminating exploiting and whatever it is that forth x stands for, but then I heard that Okami HD had come out and that it was a near perfect update, to the point that it may be the best looking game of this generation as well as the last. In spite of being both six years old and restricted to consoles. (that last one in particular as it still has some problems with object popping in to view as you get closer and I have a feeling about eight more gigabytes of RAM would solve that real quick)

Checking out Gears of War 2, and probably some Skyrim, LA Noire, and potentially looking at NFS and/or TDU2. This morning will be BJJ and some prep for the two RPGs I'm running this month.

Battlefield 3 again. Actually feels pretty good. Also, Xcom and Mark of the Ninja.

Mark of the Ninja has been an absolute blast so far. Really enjoying it.

I really should at least finish Battlefield's campaign. If other cooler games would just stop coming out...

I finished a game of Civ V (my second ever!). The rest of the weekend will be mostly taken up with family stuff rather than gaming, though.
