I will agree not to tell your secret if you can get me a few weather related days off in Cincinnati without hurting anyone.

I'll see what I can do

Hearing mixed reviews from across the Internet, feels like most of them come off as "meh".

Also, the embargo isn't up until 9am Pacific.

Anyone here able to weigh in?

Saw on twitter that Ryan Davis and Arthur Gies both had very positive things to say about it. Arthur did say he thought the chases are very bad.

I don't think the chases ever felt good in any of those that had it, which is pretty much everything since AC2. It seemed like they have the engine which can do the big open world since AC1, so they felt it needed to be used.

The IGN review said the first 3 hours feel really constrictive with fail-and-restart states being too frequent, but then opens up and that (I would think) pretty much goes away.

I kind of like the chase at the end of Revelations, if only because it's so friggin ridiculous.

Bah, at that point, I'll be on my way home with a quick stop by GameStop to pick it up and play it myself after the inevitable day-1-patch.

In my infinite pre-ordering wisdom, I opted for a store pick up at the Best Buy on my commute. Little did I know that Sandy would shut down the entire city for 3 days. :/

That Borderlands 2 season pass is starting to look pretty good right about now.

Seen a few facebook friends with status updates about rerouted planes delaying their shipping too. You're ok and safe though, right nel?

Fortunately, yes. We seem to have been spared the worst of the storm in our neighborhood in Brooklyn. We had some house-rattling winds last night, and lost our TV/internet connection overnight, but we are all up and running.

I hadn't realised quite how bad it was until I saw the news just now. I hope everyone is ok.

It better open up. This is insufferably bad game design. Walk for five seconds, cut scene, walk for five seconds, cut scene, climb a little bit, cut scene, press square, cut scene, walk for five seconds, etc.

I'll remind you guys that one of the first missions in AC2 involves carrying a parcel whilst talking to your mom.

With her discussion on how many ladies he has been with lately, which was funny. Having not played it yet, I can't say what the deal is, but I have seen some stuff on Conner not being nearly as engaging as Ezio was.

Hulk feeling bad about making a joke out of the hurricane.

38 people dead, 10-20 billion dollars in damage.

On an unrelated note, I just saw Arthur Gies tweet that the version of the Rev. War that you get in AC3 is "more Howard Zinn than Texas History Textbook." That has me more interested than any discussion of chases or early mission handholding ever could.

I honestly just assumed that was your way of dealing with a tough situation, I'm the same way with my wife. I spent half of last night making fun of the weatherpeople out in the storm and nearly getting carried off by storm surge for live footage.

As in the A People's History of the United States guy? Cool!

That didn't last two hours.

The first game had like 5 missions of you earning back your crap that they taught you how to use in the first 15 minutes too. I almost always assume the first hour or two of a game is going to be a "how to play" section, I would prefer it be optional, or be old school and be a separate option in the main menu, but such is life anymore.

Question! Is the hookblade/zip-lining coming back or that done?

I'm clearly looking at the dog but it's making me pet the pig. Worst game ever.

The Slate column also says as much.

May I direct you to this informative website? Properly Petting Puppies. Look for sister site, Properly Petting Piggies Spring 2013!

You mean to tell me that I'm going to have to go to *another* site?

Man, I thought that was going to be DLC...

Both PPP and PPP believe in purity. They call it PPPurity.

I definitely remember the introductory part of AC2 being really drawn out. However, it wasn't as noticeable because many of the mechanics were new to me. I know all this stuff by now, with a few exceptions. I think I'm almost to the "real" game.

I am so frustrated with Amazon not delivering my game today. Grrrrr.
