The arctic explorer achievement is stupid... just stupid. I just went through to every location using the maps in the strategy guide. No achievement.

I actually got that one without even trying. The blight explorer achievement eludes me though. I've run through those areas a bunch of times and I can't find what I'm missing.

Well, once you know that you have to get all the fuzzy areas out of the areas listed, it's not that hard. You just need to go through all the areas and remove the blurry. The tricky one is the final World Traveler achievement. Fortunately, the youtube video that shows up was actually the spot I missed. I only have four achievements left and I'll be all done.

I lol'd.

Avie's Camp in Sawtooth Cauldron is a common miss. Only accessible by jumping off the SW corner of the Buzzard Nest (Mortar's tower) in the center of the map.

Was watching a youtube video showing where to find one of the hidden symbols and the guy making the video kept pronouncing Dahl like Dale. Was bugging the crap out of me.

Damn it. I keep popping all the side-missions as soon as they show up on my map. Now half of them will be underleveled by the time I actually get around to doing them.

Sounds like the great Teva/TEva debate of '96, peoples minds were BLOWN when that commercial came out.

Don't think I've seen this referenced yet.

The general lesson learned is probably no public games?

I don't remember if that article mentions it (and I can't be arsed to read it again), but the damage seems localized to 360? PC and PS3 should be okay. Not that I play with pubbies anyways.

That's what I had read. I still don't go into public games on PC anymore just to be safe. Fortunately, I usually have friends on to play with if need be.

I'd just acquired this:

from a red chest following tuffalobuffalo's advice never to farm the same boss more than five times (Thanks, man!). As it turns out, a lot of my acquisitions lately have been from red chests, most of them etech.

The gun is question is a needlegun or spiker. It fires explosive spikes that attach to their targets and explode. Aside from piercing through nomad riots shields and BULL loader shields, my new discovery for today is that they also pierce the normally bullet-reflective shields of Shield Surveyors in their normally invulnerable Shield Mode. Since this is the same type of shielding Constructors use, it stands to reason that it may work there as well, though I have as yet only tested this on Shield Surveyors.

This is handy for taking out Shield Surveyors hanging around in Shield mode on the Hyperion Slaughter Dome.

Heard a good one from the Hyperion revive station today:

Hell is reserved for pedophiles and people who buy Jakobs munitions.

Love all the manufacturer rivalries.

Where the hell are the domes? I have yet to come across one.

The Bandit Slaughter Dome is in the Fridge in Fink's Slaughterhouse near the Fast Travel point. The Hyperion Slaughter Dome is in Ore Chasm in the Eridium Blight near Mal. You should see the exit point from the map as a point of interest.

FTFY. Your wording was a little confusing.

Also the Creature one is about half-way through the Wildlife Exploitation Preserve if you got that one from GameStop. It is right by the vending machines on the far side of the level from the fast travel point (which is annoying since you have to fight your way there).

Addendum:

NEVER shoot a BULL Loader with a Vladof etech blaster or any gun that has bouncing fire. I found out the hard way that it could reflect back to you. And I had a Bee Shield equipped, too. Ouch.

Yeah I had that happen with my Infinity Pistol and Bee Shield. Just the Bee Shield proc really hurts.

Didn't someone in this thread have a sort of keyboard stuttering problem?
It happened at launch but rarely and was fixed by leaving and re-entering the zone but it is not fixing the problem now.

It gets really bad where I hold down a movement key, move 2 steps in that direction and then pause for 1-3 seconds.

I am trying to mix it up to keep from getting too burned out on GW2 but this problem with BL2 is preventing me from making progress.

(Well that and the fact that I accidentally closed steam right after I had found and helped the firehawk with my mechromancer and it lost all my save progress. So I have to do the firehawk mission all over again!)

Finally finished the game on normal. Getting a Bee shield made a big difference. Man, the damage is just ridiculous by comparison.

Hm. TVHM, or pick up the DLC and go through that?

Do TVHM in the DLC

Watch for SHiFT codes on Halloween! They'll be on Facebook and Twitter up to November 4. This time, you get scary skins for your toons!

I really hope they use a different release strategy for content codes... a 2 hour activation window is kind of ridiculous.

It will be available for redemption until November 4. I imagine content with a longer life will have a similarly long activation period.

All the more reason I need to get power back!

Especially when about a quarter of the country doesn't have electricity. Such as my good friend Rallick.

Is this the same Rallick who suddenly HAS POWER!? WOOT!
*dances the happy dance of the empowered*

Nah. Different Rallick.

I saw the iOS game released today. $7. Dear Gearbox, why isn't this part of my Season Pass?

FTFY.

Also, less talk of killing imposters please. It's making me uncomfortable, since I'm not sure which Rallick is considered the imposter.

I have a question for you folks: In this game (as well as the first Borderlands) how do you deal with loot and leveling up and stuff when playing co-op? Are you continually stopping to change your loadouts and whatnot as you play? Seems like this would constantly bring the game to a halt. Or do you just play through for a session and then deal with all that stuff on your own afterwards?

I've been thinking of giving this series a go co-op with a friend, but didn't want something where you have to be stopping to fiddle with stuff mid-game. Maybe this wouldn't be the game for us if that's an issue, but I did play through the beginning of the first Borderlands by myself and dug it.
