Blackmon, get your head out of your ass.

The announcers were dogging him too. 3 of the last 4 plays he screwed up. Pretty terrible.

Cost a potential game winning drive.

Good game for the Jacksonville offense otherwise. First 300 yard game for Gabbert, first 100 yard game for Shorts, who I think is becoming the starting X receiver even when Laurent Robinson comes back.

Go for Gould!

Bears somehow pulled off a win.

Jaguars drop some passes on final drive to give a last little "screw you" to Gabbert's completion percentage.

2 afternoon games again? Come on NFL, schedule better.

Romo good

Brady Quinn's starting career with the Chiefs didn't last very long.

Might as well bench Romo at this point. "Bad Romo" showed up today.

Haven't seen "good Romo" in a while.

The worst part is Chiefs-Raiders is the best game on right now.

Wow, that sentence makes me feel dirty.

Edit: OK, you know, I think I'm going to watch Cowboys-Giants after all. Thanks to the Cowboys for freeing me from Chiefs-Raiders.

God, the Chiefs are awful. Oakland is currently 1/10 on third down, the WRs have dropped a bunch of passes, and they're still utterly destroying the Chiefs.

Wtf Giants.

I watch a couple tv episodes during the half, come back late in the third and you've blown the lead.

Oh come on Giants.

Wait, his hand hits out of bounds first, before his feet. No TD!

My homerism prevented me from getting a second straight 5-0 week.

Oh my gawd my heart. The Giants really know how to get my heart racing.

Yikes, just hoping Pack can get a win vs Cards next week and escape into their bye and get healthier.

Not sure if its bad mojo or just all the small little injuries pilling up but this team needs a week off to figure things out.

Wow, I have seen the Saints look bad before, but this is the absolute worst I have seen them look in a very long time. Pretty sure it's time for DC Spagnolo to hit the bricks. I think the decent Division III college team could give the Saints a run for their money.

Second straight 5-0 week. Good times.

Merry Christmas, Bears!

(I hope they choke on that gift. Grr.)

Vick reportedly heading to the bench.

Nothing official yet. But I love this part from the PFT article:

A source with knowledge of the dynamics in Philly over the past two seasons believes firmly that Reid has been considering benching Vick since the middle of last season, when the Eagles slumped to a 3-6 start. Reid was hoping, we’re told, that former backup Vince Young would play well enough during a three-game injury absence from Vick to justify doing to Vick what Reid did to Kevin Kolb in 2010.

Now that's optimism. That's like hoping an offensive line coach can run a defense.

Young's career starting record is 31-19. 30-17 before the 1-2 in those three games last year. A winning record would not have been an unreasonable expectation. Whatever head problems he was having off the field in Tenn, he was still a winner.

No, the teams he played on won. Vince Young was no more a "winner" than Tim Tebow.

QBs clearly have more impact on wins than any other position, but it's a team sport. Tebow and Vince Young are appropriate comparisons in that both were hugely successful at one level, but their limitations meant they weren't particularly good at the pro level. Both are mobile and were "winners" in the sense that their teams won games due to a really solid defense (Young) and a combination of defense and unrepeatable luck (Tebow last year).

That Rose Bowl was phenomenal. It was also college, and there are loads of phenomenal college athletes who suck balls in the pros.

Nuh uh!

Thus the folly of judging players by win-loss records.

The Titans team that Vince Young accrued those 30 wins on was a franchise which shot up to a 13-3 record as soon as Vince Young got hurt and replaced by Kerry Collins. Then dragged right back down when Young resumed being the team's starter.

Vince Young was dragged kicking and screaming to wins by a good team.

Vince Young at no point in time was a quality starting quarterback.

Shifting gears a bit, mostly cause I just saw it on Around The Horn... why the hell doesn't a 2-point conversion turnover that gets returned count for 2 points for the other team? Seems like a stupid rule for the NFL to adopt. Really lessens the risk of going for 2 for the offensive team. Carolina could have easily taken the lead yesterday, and maybe even won the game with that play.

Woah...who saw that woman dressed in an Indian costume of some sorts?

Have to say, I noticed. Would love to see a screen cap.

Good half for my 49ers! Crabtree on fire, defense playing well. Running game moving the ball. At one point it was 78 to -5 for team rushing yards.

Arizona defense is bad.

Crabtree and Moss both gashing them for whatever they want.

Stele: Your screencap was tweeted by Clay Travis of Outkick the Coverage. If he hasn't posted the pic there yet, I imagine it will be up tomorrow.

You could have just linked to it.

Is that NSFW? I mean it was on prime time TV.
